The atmosphere was nice especially on the patio along side the river. The food was cooked and served with love and the beer selection was huge. I give Ray’s five stars.
Brisket and ribs were so tender!! Authentic BBQ! Definitely worth the $$. Casual dress, 30 craft beers on tap, friendly staff and right on the ausable river for a perfect view! Two thumbs up!!!
We were staying overnight in the area, and the hotel owner recommended this place. It was everything she said it would be! I ordered the BBQ rib meal, and my husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich with blue cheese, both were delicious. All the tables were filled, but our food came out hot and quick! We will eat here again if we are ever back in the area!
Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Extremely good food as well. Would visit again when I'm back in the area as well as recommend it to others.

Absolutely the best meal we have had in the area! And typically I really don’t care for BBQ... my husband has the ribs... Wow! I had the brisket sandwich, so good! Even the kids burgers were tender, juicy and very flavorful!
It was a great experience, I took my family there we enjoy the place it was beautiful inside, service was good. Food and Craft Beer was Great overall great experience. Would suggest this place to anyone of my friends or family visiting Grayling, Michigan. Right on the River.
Best BBQ and smoked meats! I was really surprised by the gumbo, have not had gumbo like this since I was in New Orleans.

We absolutely loved Ray's BBQ, Brews, and Blues. I got the ribs, and my husband got half a chicken. The rub was delicious, as was their homemade BBQ sauce. We tried all the sauces and were all so good! I had potato salad and mac and cheese as sides, and those were very good as well. I opted for the lavender bees knees adult beverage again because I can't seem to let go of summer. It was made with a house made lavender syrup and absolutely delightful. Damn right we got the blues....🎸🎷🎶 and we will be back!
We loved dinner at Ray's. The outside atmosphere was great along with a one man band. Our BBQ was amazing. I had the Brisket Special, and my wife had the BBQ Chicken. WOW
Not your average BBQ joint!! There was a line for this place but within 20 min or so we were seated. Walk in the woods drink is by far the best mixed drink I've ever had in michigan. Food was good, smoked BBQ ribs decent, grilled cheese was good, blue gill fried fish was really good, wish the portions were bigger. NY strip was good but a little too much fat on it. Apple Cobb salad, although a mistake, was delicious and everyone should order this salad. Server ASH female with long dreads has the warmest manner and great server smile. I recommend you ask for her. I'll be back because of her service AND the love music! The musician was so good that I would've paid a cover charge to hear him play let alone eat and enjoy this great atmosphere. Every walk of life walked into here to eat. From our proud military personnel to families from all walks of life. A must stop for anyone local or driving through michigan like us on the way back to New York.
Had enough time this afternoon for a lunch date with my favorite person! 11 out of 10 for sure! The loaded fries were my favorite.. If your looking for a place to eat this is it. The Service was also excellent. X.R. cyber mead/cider was so good i had to take home a growler full!
This was one of the better burgers I have had in Michigan. The meat tasted very fresh and it was seasoned wonderfully. The bun also seemed like they bought it locally. The location was great and the service was very friendly. I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.
Food was great. As someone who cooks a lot of my own BBQ it’s hard to find bbq that I like. The brisket was Smokey and had a nice amount of fat on top, the chicken was smokey and the ribs had a great bite. The sauces were different but on point. The view on the back porch added to the ambiance and the service was prompt and friendly. It was a great last dinner of the way back from mackinaw island.
This place has really good smoked food. I would have to say the chicken is the best. We also had Bloody Mary's.
This place is awesome. From it’s location (tables by a flowing creek with a fire globe), its wonderful and huge selections of great food, to waitresses like Savannah who was just a joy to spend time with…professional, polite, timely, and knowledgeable. Plus they support the military with a Veteran’s discount. Highly recommend!
We love the food, atmosphere, and fantastic service. Great music, amazing beer selection and sitting outside is such a treat right on the river. Menu favorites: deviled eggs, loaded pork rinds, chili, brisket sandwich with the gravy, and the pear salad topped with brisket.
Food was delicious and alot for your money. Service was great. Great atmosphere. Very nice restaurant.
