First off, I normally don't write a review unless things are terrible since I'm usually annoyed but today is different. Been here over 5 years originally from NJ where there is a large Portuguese community around where I grew up so I love Portuguese food. Every time I go back to visit my family I always make sure to stop in for some food before I come back to Florida since there were no places I could find around here that had Portuguese food. Went to one place in Miami and it was not good.
Well today I stumbled upon this place and I am very very happy. The food was excellent. I had the garlic shrimp which is one of my favorites where ever I go and the BBQ chicken, ribs, fries and rice meal to go. Everything was yummy and they give you a great amount of food. The only 1 thing I could wish was for a little more "juice" for my garlic shrimp so I can dip my bread in it or pour in on my rice but that is just me wanting more. Hopefully next time I can eat in and try a glass of sangaria. There is a lot of people here from up north that probably don't know about this hidden gem and the only way I knew about it was from yelp then looking it up on Facebook. I already told several friends about this place and plan to return. Very comparable to food you find in Newark, South River or South Amboy, NJ Portuguese restaurants.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Awesome food, service and atmosphere! It brought me back to the little mom and pop restaurants that I ate at in Portugal where the owner/chef would come out and mingle with the customers. I ordered the carne de porco alentejana and the grilled snapper. Both delicious! The alentejana here was actually better than the one I had at a restaurant in Lisboa. Highly recommend it!
I was born and raised in the Ironbound part of Newark and even though I am of Puerto Rican descent, I grew up and went to school with my fellow Portuguese people. Always loved their food. Then I moved to Florida and haven't had their great food til now that I found this restaurant. When we first walked in we noticed many of the street signs from our old neighborhood in Newark. To my surprise the owner is from Ironbound Newark too. Highly recommend, great food, very friendly staff.

I was in town over night...Food was good...Had the shrimp rice...And Fry's....Bartender was pretty cool guy...Nice little place...I'll Definitely remember this place and stop here again when I'm in town.

We went for the first time on Saturday night and loved it! We sat at the bar with Carlos and he couldn't have been nicer. He made us great drinks and was very personable. The food was delicious
.. from the Cod cake appetizer to the grilled meats we ordered everything was fantastic! We will definitely go back.

My wife gave me a birthday party in this restaurant. The majority of my friends experienced Portuguese food for the first time at my party. They couldn't believe how the food was so well prepared and tasty. And the portions .....

Food and service was amazing. For me the food tastes really good, having family from Lisbon and being from somewhere that has a lot of portguese culture, this place really hits home. My ONLY suggestion is to light up the sign, because this place deserves more attention. It was hard to see from to see from the road.
Great food and service!! You dont give much looking from the outside but it's worth it!! Every time we come, we try a new dish and it's well served! Codfish, chicken, ribs, octopus!!!, paella,...Never disappointed!! I'm always referring people here and they love it too! They also have 3 TVs playing soccer and I think a full bar.

Great authentic Portuguese food. We have yet to not have a fanominal meal here. Aesticslly they need a little bit of TLC but the staff and again the food is great. Definitely give it a chance and I bet youll go back again again!!!
