This place really has the best coffee. My family loves it so much we always keep it on stock at home. This is a great place to go just to hang out. You can play pool, have a glass of wine or a craft beer, listen to some live music.Whether it's the art on the wall, the musician, or even putting locally made jewelry for sale, I really love how much you guys support local artists. This is my absolute favorite coffee shop. You guys rock.

Just moved to Greensboro from Atlanta. If you know anything about Atlanta you know that the coffee shops there are almost always jam-packed. They typically consist of the snobby, passive aggressive barista who ignores your existence until they HAVE to serve you. Further, all the coffee houses in Atlanta [proper] feel so stoic and cold. Not here. This is what I've been looking for since I got into coffee years ago. You can tell that the owner(s)/manager(s) have the customer in mind with the sizable yet simplistic menu, the entertainment offerings (i.e., pool table, community musical instruments, WiFi, etc.), and events to lure people like me (newbies) in. The only down side about this place is the parking, but there's really not a whole lot that can be done about that. Nevertheless, 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome local coffee shop. My girlfriend and I just moved to the area and decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they serve cold brew. It's topnotch and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

Way cool place that's not the norm, reminds me of being back in the DC area specifically the Adams Morgan part of the city :-)

First time visiting Common Grounds. I ordered the Angela Bassett coffee, which is dark chocolate, lavender, and vanilla. So delicious. I definitely recommend to visit for the other variety of drinks they offer

Staple neighborhood coffee shop. Great place to study, listen to live music at night, just hang out. The staff is always great and many have been there a long time. Outdoor seating and dog friendly! The coffee options are great plus teas, smoothies, beer and wine, ice cream and pastries.

A great little coffee shop! It was a nice day so we sat outside. My iced latte with almond milk was great. They also have pastries and alcohol with plenty of places to read or study. The arcade looked fun in the back though.

Wow, if I were a regular coffee goer, and wanted a place to hang out, this place is where I would go. The specialties are amazing, we tried the Marilyn Monroe and Brad Pitt. I liked the Monroe over Pitt personally but it’s very unique, tasty coffee. The atmosphere is down to Earth. I feel like it gives an Asheville vibe. The music while I was there was 90’s alt/grudge which fits the atmosphere. Give this place a try for the coffee, and the atmosphere! I love this place. Wish I knew about this place earlier and makes me wish I attended UNCG for college. Good feelings all around.

We are only passing through but what a great find. Both our espresso drinks were top notch, morning staff was very friendly and helpful. Masks were required and staff was all masked. Wish we lived nearby - this would be or go-to.

Best coffee and workspace in town. Outdoor patio, video game lounge, drinks of all sizes and shapes, Pride friendly, awesome staff like Don.... I could go on..... And I will, many times. This space hosts open mics and could DO even More Live Music or Deejay sets to draw real quality crowds. EDM, hip-hop, Acoustic acts! Question the regulars.. What do people want to hear and show up for? Geez, get a booking agent ;) I'm sure there are more than dead heads around the other nights of the week haha! L9ve Nate Shockley's Art and the display area could use a spruce up. Bring in some plants and tend to the garden out front in the smoking area with some new varieties of seeds, vegetables, or whatever the owner and staff want to grow and you would be a winner. In Greensboro its not hard to find coffee or a lounge. It's tough to find the right corner. And some GOOD live music. Walker is the area; when Suds is a dud and Wahoos cheers for the wrong Cavaliers... This is still worth a 5 star trip. I've been in Denver, Colorado for the last 7 years, but when I visit Greensboro or stick around like a local. This is the open spot. Just get creative like some other businesses making great impressions in boom towns like Boulder or Portland and you could win over even more hearts! Really electric place, love the plants and it’s very rustic feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. E cappuccino was good and enough amount of foam. Got me some beans as well, will update how I like them.

Cool, alternative and slightly grungy vibe (in the best way). Mish mash of furniture, tables and chairs making it a cozy spot whether you are working or hanging out with a friend. There is a back area with a pool table and Pacman arcade game. They've got light fare in terms of food, lots of muffins and bars. Amazing vegan muffins from local baker!! Coffee is ok, they are more about coffee drinks rather than a specialty espresso, which is all good - thats what they are going for. They also have smoothies. Soy, coconut, and almond milk available for a 75 cent upcharge.
