Cruising all over the southern states, we ate all kinds of food. We stopped at many restaurants. This one, i am here to tell you, was one of the best. The place was crowded but Michelle (not Linda - since it's a good review) seated us quickly and treated us like regular customers. We started with fried green tomatoes. I hadn't ever tried them. They were fantastic - and served with both regular ranch dressing AND spicy ranch dressing. For my main meal, i ordered the red snapper. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever in my 52 years eaten. So dang good. It was served on a bed of rice that was amazing - and i don't even like rice! I highly highly recommend the Shrimp Basket. You won't be disappointed! Great service, better food!!
Wonderful dine-in experience! We had great, friendly service - everyone greeted us warmly and our waitress was so nice.
Absolutely delicious!! We ordered 2 fried Seafood Sampler baskets and a Shrimp basket. We enjoyed the flounder, fried oysters, shrimp, crab cake, cheese grits, corn nugget, slaw and hush puppies. Enjoyed the tartar and cocktail sauces also.
The Pineapple cocktail on the cocktail cabana menu was so good - the pineapple and coconut flavors were very tasty!
We’re visiting Gulfport for our honeymoon and thought we would try Shrimp Basket based off their great reviews. Let me tell you all….Those positive reviews are very accurate. A-1 customer service from start to finish. Lindsey took excellent care of us. She made us feel like family not just a customer🥰

Oh my goodness! Second time at this Shrimp Basket! We love it! ❤️ I had the shrimp and grits and yum!!!! Hubby had popcorn shrimp basket! For a starter we had the 1/2 lb steamed shrimp! Everything was great! And Michelle made sure we were enjoying our meal and well taken care of! The Shrimp Basket is always a go to for us when we are in the area! Wonderful Service and Food! A big shout out to the cooks too!
Absolutely perfect Experience! I travel for work once a month and I stumbled upon this restaurant through Google! I must say, from the front door to the table, the service was impeccable 👌 My waitress was Morgan! Super sweet and attentive! Overall this is one of the best experiences I've had At a seafood restaurant! I can't wait to come back next month!
It is ALWAYS a wonderful experience when I visit here! I am a virtual Sign Language Interpreter for the local school district. I make it my business to spend my “after hours” at the Shrimp Basket, great food, even BETTER service! Homemade tarter sauce! 🤤

I stopped in Gulfport on the way home to Atlanta Ga, and found this wonderful little treasure of the restaurant. I had a oyster basket and a full shrimp basket. I had to buy them seperately because there is no combo on the menu. Its the only recommendation i have for them, is to create combos. The staff was great, polite and professional. This place has a very genuine home feel to it because everybody was so at ease with the customers....i was very pleased with my experience. Way to go Michelle, Lindsey and Christiane.
Our waitress, Taylor, was very sweet and helpful with answering our questions as well as being very attentive!
We had the Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer, Blackened Shrimp Tacos and The Seafood Basket (Fish, Shrimp, Oysters and Stuffed Crab); everything tasted wonderful and was served more quickly than we expected.
This was an excellent referral by the hostess at our hotel!!
