I like this place and usually visit when I'm in downtown Gulfport. Good atmosphere. The staff for the most part is friendly. It has a limited menu but it's enough that most can find something to eat. Good beer selection. Known for their depression lunches and pricing, I never seem to make it in time for that lower pricing but have gotten the lunch at a later time for $4 more than advertised on the sidewalk. This was my second visit in 6 months. Two very different experiences. I would go back but no reason to rush.
4-28-2018 Alright, we finally made it back... a long drive, but the burgers are still off the charts. We met Pokey... the burger chef and he did us a solid by cooking the best burgers around. I had the Elliot Ness that was not on the menu, the wife had their Bugs Moran burger, daughter had the Great Gatsby roast beef and son had the Capones Cajun Chicken sandwich. Everyone was completely satisfied! I can't understand why there is not a line around the block for this place. Definitely ties first place for burgers for me. Can't wait to get back here again
3-28-2017 Lots of bad reviews about smoke... but we experienced no such thing. On this night we had a small event in the area, yet the single waitress handled everyone as freindly as can be on this Monday night. Drinks were great and the burgers were incredible. An argument quickly started at the table as everyone maintained it was the best burger they've ever had... while I'm only willing to say... second best ever! I had the Elliot Ness burger with sauted onions, an egg, and avocados... cooked exactly medium well. Loved everything about this place!
Great burgers! Staff super friendly. Went there for Karaoke and the DJ was amazing!
The bartender was super friendly! We walk in sat down at the bar was was greeted right away! He took our drink order and food order. Made our drinks and stepped in the kitchen and cooked our juicy tasty burgers that we had just ordered. Food was great, drinks were great and the service made it a five star lunch!
Great place. Treats the out of towers as locals. Jeff is a great bartender and remembers your name. Good selection of beers on tap. Had the "bonnie&clyde" and it was amazing. Nice outside seating on either the first or second floor. Allows smoking inside upstairs, but I'm a smoker so I like that.
Figured I should update my previous as I have had a couple other dishes since. The fish taco is really good but it should be called a burrito because it's served that way. Still very good. Tonight I had their French-dip also very good with the mild peppers. Messy but good. Their mac&cheese is great.
Great food. Definitely try the chicken sandwich and the hamburger out. Not fancy by any means but the owner is very nice. Good for karaoke if you're into that sort of thing as well.
Come here for the Italian beef sandwich every time, and the hand cut fries make a difference. The closest thing available without having to go to Chicago for one. Friendly and attentive staff. Looks like a great bar for night life.
This place isn't fancy and looks more like a bar than place to eat. But i have lunch there once a week and have never been disappointed. Their lunch meatloaf is fantastic. Their grilled or fried porkchop is comfort food at its best. And their burgers are pretty damn good. Oh, and they have lots of alcohol. If they had a few more customers it would be perfect.
