Second year for us to go to Hectors for Thanksgiving dinner. Oh my it was awesome. Food was on point. Highly recommend.
Great food and great service. I unknowingly arrived just before closing time. Even as I was finishing my meal, they were still offering me another beer, and had I not asked I wouldn't have known they had closed. Great service the whole time, though I felt bad for being there late.
Great food,great service,waitress was very polite,don't know her name,but we sat on the right side. My whole family enjoys your place,that's why I bought 11 $10 gift certificates at Christmas.Will be back.
We eat at Hectors every Saturday evening. We have been fortunate enough to get to know the staff most importantly Amanda Brewer! We call her Renee always ask for her section and will wait if ones not available. The food the service are all great!!!
Seems like we go here once a week. All food is great from the blackened tilapia to the fajitas and burgers. Service is great!! Can't beat their top shelf margaritas either!!! Yummmmmmm!!!!!

First of all the young waiter was EXCELLENT, he was totally on top of making sure we had everything we wanted and was very well mannered and very polite, our food was really good and perfect temperature and reasonably priced, we would definitely go there again and again.
Hectors is our FAVORITE place to eat in Gun Barrel City, TX!!!! Victor and the staff we see and visit with are so wonderful and accommodating!!! Food and bar drinks are delicious!!! We eat there every time we are at the lake!
We had steaks and catfish, menu items one might not expect in a Mexican restaurant. Food was excellent, service was outstanding. I'll be back.

Great food in a nice atmosphere. They offer a good variety of meal and Vegetable entrees with good sauces of all kinds. Pasta is always cooked perfect. Wonderful experience! We will definitely return.
Best Mexican food around! Food always comes out pipping hot! Cheese enchiladas are my favorite. Taco salad is excellent!! Quesadillas are wonderful!!!
I love Mexican food. Was raised on it. This is some of the beat I have ever had and that is saying a lot. Plus. the service was exceptional. A repeat customer in the making! Had the Carne Asada with churos beans and queso enchilada. Soooo good.

Sooo gooood!! My first time here and I will be back! One of the menu items they have is chile relleno which is one of my favorites to try at a new place. In the past I have asked other places to make it burrito style with the chile relleno and rice wrapped in a flour tortilla. Normally restaurants say no... but they said YES... AND even asked if I wanted sauce and cheese on top which is really the way I like it 😃

Since I ordered to go they gave me WARM chips and salsa in the bag which totally hit the spot! The staff was excellent and neatly packed everything I needed so that I could enjoy my meal.
Popular place on a Saturday night! However, despite the crowd, there was no waiting for our table for 4. Some of the best chicken enchiladas I've ever had. Attentiveness of server was excellent. Only exceeded by the quality of the food. First time, but will definitely be back when in the area!
Margaritas alone are worth going, best margaritas around for sure. Food is not my favorite but it’s still good, quesadillas or fajitas are my usual to-to. I do love their salsa, it’s fantastic. Service is always great as well.
