Staff are very welcoming and friendly, the view is very beautiful and great to spend morning or afternoon there 🍂
I haven’t tried their sandwiches but desserts are really yuummmy especially carrot cup cake 🧁🧡
Next time I’m gonna try the breakfast 😍
Delicious food and ice cream, there is also a drive thru if you need a quick coffee or breakfast sandwich. The scenery is beautiful too, mountains in the background and cows on the field. Barstow’s also does some farm tours in the spring and fall I believe, they tow an open trailer and show you around the farm. Give it a try, I really enjoy the lemon or mango sorbet!
We loved the live music and farm tour on Pasture Day! We came back today and we had lunch with a delicious roast beef sandwich, Mac n cheese and iced coffee. Friendly, helpful staff were wonderful!
Great apple cider & apple cider hot donuts. Friendly people & beautiful property.
I go and get decaf coffee every Sunday after Church service. The cup of coffee is rich with just the right amount of cream. Much better tasting than the chain coffee shops, and the employee service is very welcoming and friendly.
Excellent soups, sandwiches and bakery. Wonderful smoothies!
They have a drive up plus dine in (tables outdoor seasonal).
Best pies around! Can pre-order for holidays
Great cow experience for Mountain Day and the cards sold inside are so cute!!
The milkshakes at Barstow's are a concoction of perfection. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, each sip was like a sweet symphony in my mouth. The milk was undoubtedly fresh, straight from the farm, giving the shakes an authentic and wholesome taste that's hard to find elsewhere. It's safe to say that Barstow's has mastered the art of creating milkshake nirvana.
This place isn't just your average milkshake joint. It's a place where you can witness the true essence of farm-to-table goodness. The ambiance is charming, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can truly feel the love and dedication they put into their craft.
Got a roast beef sandwich and cup of clam chowder. Prices are decent and the food was okay (nothing spectacular but still good). Plenty of bakery items, meats, milk, and premade soups available.
Fresh Sammy's and delicious ice cream. And we saw a small bear in the field. Good ride destination.
We stopped in because we drove by and we were hungry—and found such a great place! Art on the walls and local meat, milk, and vegetables as well as some truly delicious pie. We got to eat our sandwiches while watching out the windows to where the cows grazed. Peaceful, friendly, good prices and great food.
I LOVE this place! Incredible deli foods and baked goods at an affordable price. Local beef, frozen meals, milk, ice cream, and even crafts are available! Local business with friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere. There is a lovely view of hills and cows from the restaurant and patio. A happy cow statue greeted me on my way in!
I am a repeat customer and I will definitely be back.
Please pay in cash if you can, as they are a small business and face thousands of dollars in credit card fees a year!
Great food and staff. Highly recommend.
Stopped by for a quick lunch. They have a lot of baked items and ice cream too. Indoor seating, patio seating, and picnic tables. Very nice green view, even better in the fall.
The food was delicious, and Alex was an awesome server! Loved the esthetics of the place, so New England.
Barstow's has so much going for it. It's in a beautiful location which provides lovely, tranquil countryside views to many of its seats. The food has been great. (Sandwiches El Presidente and Roasted Red Pig are my favorites). They offer fresh, high quality desserts, coffees, and meats.
I usually grab a sandwich and an apple cider, sit by the front windows and watch the cows, usually on my way to somewhere in the Hadley area. You pay, they give you a number which they call when your food is ready and choose your spot. Simple.
There's really no negative I can say about it. The service is good (it was a little rougher maybe five years ago), the prices are good. They sell a variety of local gifts and goods like artistic greeting cards and t-shirts. The clientele are always nice & mellow. The outdoor seating area is pretty and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean, well-equipped and gender neutral. If you care about doing the right thing environmentally, you'll be glad to know they separate refuse into categories of recyclables, compostables, and trash. Even the parking lot is easy to get in & out of and feels very safe. Definitely a favorite stop of mine and one to which I've brought many new people.
Get their seasonal sandwich the PIONEER! Thanksgiving dinner on a cibatta bun it was delicious and generous
Check out the bakery case
Yummy
Really a great place. True American farm, healthy and fresh products. Amazing desserts and yummy coffee. It was very clean and the staff friendly. Highly recommend going out of your way to support this place.
It is attractively set on a hill with ample and handicapped parking. There are picnic tables, covered seating and more seating inside. The place is much bigger and offers more than I had expected. Besides delicious ice cream cones, they offer shakes and a lunch menu. There are bagged cookies to buy as a treat, a display case of tempting muffins, cupcakes and pies. At one end there are refrigerated/freezer with ice cream flavors to take home and in addition to gallons of milk from their cows, they offer beef from their own farm as well. The staff were friendly and alert. The place was moderately busy when we were there but waited on and served right away. And very clean! A couple had gotten up and left the bar like counter that offers a wonderful view of the hillside with sitting stools, and one of the staff came out and cleaned the counter area right away. I was extremely impressed. There is table seating as well. Napkin dispensers were full of napkins, places to dispose of trash well maintained. While just getting ice cream, their apple/caramel was like having a slice of apple pie topped with ice cream together in one delicious offering, I would definitely go back and try other flavors, for the local beef and milk. I'm not sure if they accept pie orders for the holidays but would be interested to find out. And take a bag of cookies home as a special treat. It was very enjoyable. They also offered mums, pumpkins, bundles of firewood for sale, and what farm would be without compost for sale too?! Delicious ice cream, clean attractive surroundings, friendly attentive staff. Great place to visit!
