Did I never write about Hoffbrau? Guess not. How funny. Well, not that one needs an underground guide for this legendary institution. It's likely to be found in your hotel hard cover guide to Dallas/Fort Worth (you know, the one on the formica coffee table...). I did, however, mention the restaurant in our writeup for Bangkok Cuisine, only in that I stated everyone goes to Hoffbrau instead of the Thai concern.

Chopped steak. Would have enjoyed the chopped steak even more if they had served it with
brown gravy. Somehow cream gravy doesn't seem to compliment it as well.
Never even heard of this place before we stopped here. The server Gordon was friendly and did all he could to ensure our meal was good. I had the gents sirloin and wife had bacon wrapped fillet. Food was great service was excellent and we will be back. Thumbs up

Great steaks and more!. We've been coming to the Haltom City location from Colleyville for several years, after enjoying the Dallas and former Bedford locations. We like the casual atmosphere here and of course, the great food.
For starters, the Sweetwater Shrimp (jalapenos filled with shrimp, wrapped in bacon and topped with BBQ sauce) is a favorite of the wife's, and the Brau Chips (homemade potato chips served with ranch dressing) are always good, as are the potato skins. The steaks, especially the 13oz ribeye and the bacon-wrapped filet, are tender and juicy, and the grilled chicken, fried catfish and ribs are wonderful. The thick juicy hamburgers are epic, as are the chicken-fried steaks and pork chops. For those who prefer it, there's beer, wine and mixed drinks. There are daily lunch specials, too. All in all, there's something for everyone here.
And to top it off, the staff and management are friendly and attentive and do a great job.
We're here at least three times a week, and never get tired of it. We recommend it to all our friends, and believe you'll enjoy it, too!
Good Steak at a Fair Price. Really pleased with the quality and flavor of the steaks. Perfect doneness on all. Sal's Ribeye was very tasty and my daughter's Smoked Sirloin was impressively tender, with a smokey, peppered flavor. My son got the Ranchhand Steak and Eggs and didn't leave a bite. We also sampled the Grilled Smoked Sausage and the Squash Puppies. The Sausage was good, but the Squash Puppies with the Jalapeno Jelly was outstanding! One let-down was my wife's Banana Pudding, which tasted more like Banana-Flavored Cool Whip than Pudding. Very good overall and we'll be back.
Our urbanspoon 'spin' adventure.... Despite the fact cigarette smoke was wafting from the bar area, the atmosphere had a good Texas country feel. The steak soup was very tasty. The jalapeño broccoli cheese soup was superb. The Dr. Pepper chicken had slightly charred edges but was otherwise enjoyable. The chicken fried steak was good and did not have too much breading. Our waitress was polite and very attentive. Excellent service.

Good service, had the T-Bone there and it was a bit overcooked. My friends ordered their sirloin and it was very good! Prices are reasonable for their selection. Their steak portions are on the small side.
Sunday Best. There's no better place for me to sit and watch the game, have the most perfect 16 ounce steak, cooked the way I like it, and some brewskies on tap! That's where you'll find me every Sunday!
GREAT!. We go to this restaurant at least once a week...today we went for lunch. We have always received great food and service here :)
Hoffbrau is a great local steakhouse. The Jalapeno Broccolli Cheese soup is to die for. Before the Bedford location closed, you could find me there nearly every Saturday night. The steaks are great, very tender and juicy. After the Prime Rib went away, my favorite is the Filet.
Salad. House salad, house dressing and add green olives. You will be addicted. I promise!
