This is indubitably one of the best African stores in Connecticut. It’s a one stop shop for every kind of African and Caribbean groceries. I visited today and was really impressed. The attendant I met was very courteous, and a good conversationalist with the most engaging sense of humor, that I almost didn’t want to leave. It’s family friendly; pretty close to the road, and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance for the differently able. #AfricanStore #Groceries #CT #FamilyFriendly #WheelchairAccessible #Food #Shopping
Great stuff.Although a bit pricey. All African food supplies.
You can get all your African cooking ingredients here. They sale fabrics, tonics, soaps, seasonings, meats even frozen fresh fish . The owner is kind and helpful. (If you like spice , pick up the African pepper seasoning. )
Pleasant experience....... Great quality food and taste amazing. Some may complain about the price but you're getting what you paid for. It's my third experience there and I thought it was definitely deserving of this reveiw. You have to taste their house soup...... O-M-G, fantastic!
I love the to get my Shito and Suya seasoning here. They have beautiful fabric from the Motherland at bargain prices. I buy and use as lovely table cloths. The owner is friendly and makes you happy to shop local. She is always surprised as non African that I can make the food. We had great conversations and I enjoy visiting store often.
