From one of the firefighter/EMT's (1997-2000), I really enjoyed seeing how the fire station has changed to a place to enjoy coffee, food and the amazing history of the oldest fire station in the Army. To the employees that are working at Firehouse Coffee, very friendly. Thank you.

Such a wonderful place to enjoy a great cup of coffee. Had lunch yesterday and it was very tasty!! We celebrated my husbands birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it very special. We always stop here when we are at Fort Monroe.
I loved my almond milk chai latte & my chicken salad was so good! Going to be a regular for sure since I just started working close by! Jordan was super informative & friendly. Cool shop :)
Everything was excellent! Great service, great food, great environment! Our new favorite place!
A wonderful cafe in an historic Firehouse ( helmets and firefighter stuff still around) on an historic US Army fort, serving the freshest home baked croissant sandwiches, great breakfast (all day!!) and The Coffee, wow. Friendly, neighborly and reasonably priced, comfortable outdoor seating and inside AC. Take in the Cafe and the fort and back for lunch and ice cream.
Excellent coffee shop. Awesome people running the place. Definitely will visit again.
A great addition to Fort Monroe - Randy and his team are friendly and welcoming. It’s a great small town feel with prices that you can’t beat. Nice selection of hot and cold custom beverages as well as a cooler w/ cokes, etc. Check this shop out next time you’re on the Fort.
Full service coffee shop right on Fort Monroe with great smoothies, sandwiches, and pastries too. The coolest part is that it's in the old Army firehouse. The shop is inside fire engine bays and the fireman's pole is still there!
Nice little place with great coffee and customer service. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
A moooovelous place to get a snack, drink some joe, or just hang out!

Beyond ecstatic to have Firehouse Coffee join the Fort Monroe community. Super friendly staff serving great coffee, smoothies, food, and more. Firehouse coffee is a definite visit whenever you're at the Fort!
Great atmosphere, great coffee, great food! So glad we have this place now!
Super sweet people working at this adorable coffee shop. Not many people there on a lonely Thursday afternoon. They have fun fireman things, chess, and other toys for kids to play with. I ordered a dirty chai, and it was great. Kids got hot chocolate, and they said it was good. We got a bag of coffee beans, and we are excited to try the Chesapeake Bay blend!
The whole Ft. Monroe area is super cool but strange at the same time. It sometimes still feels like an active military base, but then you have regular business and residents. This old coffee shop is outside the main fort, just a jaunt away. I had a scoop of salted caramel ice cream which was brilliant and a hot apple cinnamon muffin. The prices were reasonable for whatever I ordered, but I can’t say for other lunch-food items. Recommend a visit if in the area, cheers.
Update 2/3
There are some subtle changes happening! The new owners are very friendly and Firehouse Coffee remains the same community meeting spot it has always been. The new owners are very receptive to feedback. I'm excited to see what else is in store.

This is a cute little coffee shop with sandwiches and ice cream. It's nestled in the heart of Fort Monroe in an old firehouse. The ice cream was fantastic and the coffee was good. I would definitely give this place another visit.
A fabulous local coffee shop at Fort Monroe. A charming firehouse that has been converted into an rustic/industrial space. Have been several times and the quality and service is always amazing.
Lot of interesting fireman stuff on display. Was too hot for coffee but had tea and sandwiches. One ham on cibbitta roll and a breakfast sandwich on crosiant. Wife topped off with a fruit smoothie with greens. We plan on going back and try other items.
We came here after visiting Fort Monroe. It was not busy and we loved the unique atmosphere. Great coffee and the kids had an ice cream. Our dog was welcome and the staff were kind enough to provide a bowel of water for him. We'd definitely go back.
