This place is fantastic. I've come with my family for breakfast and love it. The wait time for food is a bit long at the moment, but it sure is worth it- and lots of interesting magazines and coloring books to keep the kids busy. Or we just dance polka with them while we wait:)
I can't get LESS than 2 orders of apple pancakes when we come. I may have to get 3 next time. On top of the regular breakfast food.
Owner is super sweet too.
Fantastic place! Celebrated two family birthdays there last night. Food was excellent, service fun and entertaining by our waitress Nicki, and they surprised us by decorating a separate area with birthday decorations. The menu has a great variety, and the owner, Renate, is super friendly making you want to come back again. Renate reached out to us ahead of time giving us several different group options for menus. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful authentic German Cafe! Excellent food, wonderful menu, filled with plenty of incredible choices. The big plus is all the tasty treats from their completely HOMEMADE Bakery. NOW they have plenty of Tables and a separate room for private seating as well as painting classes and baking classes. Don't pass this place up! GPS the address so you don't miss it!
I brought a sample tray of various cakes from the bakery to my work today and everyone who had it - loved it - including me! Thank You! i am very excited to find out you have cooking/baking classes and also art classes! Can't wait to come back and try the other items on your menu!
Best German place around! The owners are some of the nicest people; very personable. They make you feel right at home. The liver dumpling soup was awesome. These are my 2 favorite items; I can’t wait to try more. They were also featured on Chicago’s Best.
Great German food! My father had Leberkaese, which is very hard to find made so tasty and authentically. My mom had Haxen, also made in true German fashion. Also, the decorations were inviting and service was very friendly. Note: it was a bit warm inside.
Awesome find. Delicious food, wonderful family like service. We've been here a couple of times and both times were very enjoyable. Their desserts are wonderful too. We accidentally ordered pork schnitzel instead of chicken and they fixed it right away even though it was our error. Really grateful for their kind service.
WOWWW!!!! I’m so excited to have food my new German restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, traditional, & authentic. We ordered for the first time last night & wont be the last. The owners are super friendly. You can tell this is their passion & take great pride in their establishment.
THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING MEAL :) Samantha
Excellent Food.Had the Liver Dumpling Soup which was superb.Handcrafted Spaetzle( more known as Knoepfle in the southern part of Germany), with a Jaeger Schnitzel.Big Portion.I enjoyed having some left overers today for lunch. The Owner and Chef renate is from Aschaffenburg in Germany. So, it cannot get more authentic.
Got a good deal on local flavor so thought I'd try it out. If you're using the local flavor deal, you need to use the whole amount pretax so be ready for some leftovers.
Not a bad little place. I tried their bacon cheese burger on their pretzel bun and their pretzel stocks. The burger was OK, nothing special but the fries were good. Fries were fresh cut, crispy and just the right amount of salt. Pretzel sticks were good but the cheese sauce was meh. The vanilla cake was good as well.
Family owned. Very nice people with good service & great food! Very authentic & delicious. Desserts were equally delicious. If you like brownies, they are a must. Casual atmosphere.
Such a gem of a German restaurant! The food was outstanding and the prices were extremely reasonable. It is family run with the wife from Frankfurt cooking and more. The husband is extremely friendly amd warm. It was a great experience!
