Great food, good service and nice ambiance. Was disappointed they didn't have the chicken corn soup & wished they would have reflected chicken noodle. But that left me room for apple cobbler! Daily specials reflected in photo below.
My mom had her eye on this restaurant for years. After a day of window shopping (and eventually buying some neat things), we wanted to stop and grab something to eat before we headed back towards home. This place had AMAZING food. The menu is very diverse, so you can pick what is best for your appetite at the time. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. I wasn't that hungry for their bigger meals and decided on a grilled ham and cheese sandwich....best grilled ham and cheese sandwich EVER! I am dying to know how they made the bread so crispy and how it stayed crispy! Also their ice cream selection caught my eye. I plan to come back for more grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and to bring my kids to try their ice cream. Yes.... I'm using my kids as a way to indulge myself and try one of their unique delicious sounding ice cream selection. 😆 definitely try out this hidden gem!
A delight from start to finish. Fantastic food at an amazing price. The best part of our visit was, Kimberlee. Her service, smile and kindness were impeccable. She really is a gem. I can't wait to come back, This place gets it!
Gourmet food? Nope. Good food for a really good price? Yup. Many of our other usual haunts have had substantial price increases (understandably). However Clair’s prices seem to remain quite reasonable. I think the new owner has the right recipe for success. We will return when we want a good tasty meal for a good price. And our waitress (Pip?) was really nice and attentive.
I love this little gem! When they decided to Retire... I was so sad. I believe their daughter took over & went into business (I think I've got that right). It's Home Cooking when you are Off Duty. My Favorites: Hot Roast Beef Sandwich w/Mashed Potatoes & Gravy & Veggie, Soups, and... My Ham Club!
I think it has to do w/atmosphere. Of days gone by ~ and today ~ what it is w/those who still like to dine in. Go in, sit at the counter & have a cup of joe & a piece of pie! ♡
This is a gem. Great atmosphere, family friendly, old school, delicious meals, ice cream parlor, I mean... this place has it all! Phenomenal and easily a new family favorite!!!
Nice little diner that is family owned and operated. The staff was friendly and the food was really good. Great overall experience!!
