We stopped in for the first time to get some drinks before the movie. Since we are from out of town, to our surprise On The Crunchy Side had an appealing, gorgeous atmosphere, was very classy, and had a warm welcome from the owner. Excellent bloody marys!! Cannot wait to try the food! Have recommended & will be back many more times to come!!
The customer isn't always right!. I found the owner of The Crunchy Side delightfully surley! He has a hard edge but works hard and creates very good food. Being a restaurantuer for 20 years I have found the customer is not always right. The people in question below involved in the incident fit into that category. These types of people should eat at home or learn how to treat people involved in the service industries. Enough said on that! I had the best crab cakes in my life and pretty darn good service!
Great Place!. I live in Harmony so I've been to OTCS several times. Personally, I think it's great. At the first look inside it may look like it a spendy place to go, but it's really not, the food there it's really good and actually pretty inexpensive. I know the people who work there and I think they're all pretty cool people. One of the cooks they have, Dave, is 18 years old, he's fast and works hard, he is by no means slow. This kid is talented. Brian one of the current bar tenders is also really great. The owners Miles and Lisa are also nice. Miles doesn't exactly have the greatest reputation for being the nicest person but I think people need to get to know him to actually understand his personality. I actually like Miles now that I've gotten to know him.
Over all, the times I've been there, the service has been fast and friendly and the food has been great.
If your going for lunch or dinner I recommend the 'Parkhurst Pizza Bread' I also hear that the crab cakes are very good.
LOVED IT. A friend and I were visiting Harmony for the first time and stopped at The Crunchy Side for lunch. It is a very nice bar and grill set up with your classic regulars that give it a home type feeling. The food was great, service was a little slow but very helpful and friendly! Would go to again in a heart beat and have already sent a few friends there myself.
Dibbs on the jukebox. I like it Good food, Good Music, and Lots of people. Friday and saturday nights there are a blast. Man they have some good pasta. From what I hear you have to wait a while to get a burger, but it's supposed to be pretty good I haven't tryed it yet. But I will be back
Ohh and I read the comments left on this page
Wow you people sound like a bunch of fifth graders
grow up
I wouldn't give you any beer either you might get to drunk and break something holy cow.
Refreshig. When I walked into On The Crunchy Side, I thought I was in the wrong town. I never imagined Harmony would ever have a bar with a pleasant atmosphere, a clean environment, AND a FRIENDLY bartender/owner. On The Crunchy Side was a refreshing change from the drab hay-seed establishments that Harmony patrons are used to. Please disregard the other bitter negative comments. If On The Crunchy Side was so bad the person would not be so upset about not being able to come back. Thanks again!
sincerely, Pleasantly surprised.
Mean People... For some reason there are a few people who have written false reviews about this very classy place. These people belong to the same family, and have a personal vendetta against the owner of On The Crunchy Side. Do not take their reviews seriously, these people have a long history of slandering whomever they see fit, and this is well known within the town in which they live. I didn't want to believe they had gone to these lengths to try and hurt a business/business owner from their own hometown, but truly, I am not surprised in the least. I hope this genuine review sheds light, and serves a little justice for On The Crunchy Side.
Fantastic food and my kind of people. We rode our motorcycles from Tennessee so my friend could visit the owner. What a great trip and this places is one of the highlights! Servers were perfect and are good sports. 100% recommend this place if you want real food from real people. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home. PS Beautiful country here but I’ve never seen so much damn corn in my life LOL

My new favorite restaurant. Had Shepherd's Pie today for St. Paddy's Day and it was the best I have ever had. The staff was awesome.
Great place, good times....And amazingly great food. The Italian dishes are extra awesome 🌟👍🏻
Good food. Cook was awesome.
Went in the first time, invited by my friends Shaun and Becky. Started out with a few appetizers (the artichoke cheese dip, was fantastic), then had pizza. Everything is made, from scratch (crust, sauces and even the sausage). From there, the fun went into high gear. The people are a fun-loving community who all know each other by name. But among these wonderful souls, I found a dear acquaintance I’ve known my entire life - an old upright piano. For nearly 6 hours, we danced and forgot about the troubles of life for a while. Miles and Lisa, thank you for making this Louisiana boy feel like family. Here’s to the next one...and there WILL be a next one 😎👍
Great food, great tap beer, reasonable priced - Loved the complimentary pretzels and homemade croutons with dips while waiting for our order. Relaxing atmosphere with friendly, courteous service! We will definitely be going back!
