Tuesday: I was soooo delighted to find Bella Mia: Italian cuisine with phenomenally fresh and high quality seafood ingredients. I dont know how Sal (From Naples Italy) can maintain local pricing??? My dish was the amazing Paccheri Allo Scoglio, where three huge scallops lined up with a couple of jumbo gulf shrimps, surrounded by vongoles and calamari and mussels, dressed in just the best light and delightful marinara I have ever had. The al dente wide tube pasta shouldered all this di mare goodness. I'll continue sampling their menu the rest of the week before I can move on. Struck gold! Wednesday: Lobster ravioli with crab lumps all over. Silky lobster fill and, kid you not, al dente shells! What? in a ravioli? YUP!!! Sauce is velvety lobstery yummy. Pure magic! Friday: My First Chef's Table Experience. Sal made for me a dinner off-menu: Octopus. He literally served me the entire octopus. Half of it was offered up as a Octopus Salad. Amazingly tender and firm (he cooked it near 3 hours) and grilled to perfection where the char on the tentacles brought me right back to the Mediterranean. Olive oil, sea salt, lemon and arugula were the simple adornment for this magnificent delicacy. The other half of the mollusk was transformed into an Octopus Pasta, perfectly dressed in a reduced San Marzano tomato sauce. I'd always held French chefs as kings of sauce but Sal's sauces re-calibrated my taste buds for sure. I have never been pampered by a chef whom I just met 3 days ago. After my meal Sal asked me to join him and his wife Pearla at their table with margherita pizza, cheeses, prosciutto and grilled peppers. I had to pass on the puff pastry dessert for I was about to burst. I thank Sal and Pearla for their generous hospitality.

What a wonderful spot. The pizza are amazing and they have a large menu of Italian favorites. Just look at all that prosciutto on this pizza ❤️. If you want real Italian food in Harrisonburg, try this place. It’s so authentic I was even able to speak to my waiter in Italian (though his fluency exceeded my own).

This was hands down one of the BEST Italian restaurants I've ever been to! The food was phenomenal and the service was great! I ordered the veal parmesean and it was so tender and crispy. So delicious!

Si Puo Mangiare molto bene. Harrisonburg is so lucky to have a true Italian Trattoria. . Off 81, take 247A, Agrodolce is hidden in a small shopping center with PetSmart. ..."Market Square" After walking through the doors you will be transformed into Italy. From the fresh pasta made while you watch through the window or at the pizza bar, the authentic decor...the doors and windows from Italy are beautiful, and the prize jewel...an Italian wood burning oven to make all the Italian favorites. I was a little skeptical about having so many Italian wines by the glass, until l found out they have a dispensing wine bar the preserves open wine for up to two weeks...they thought of everything....and the wine is very reasonable price. The fresh burrata was amazing, the pizza perfect and my daughters pasta was incredible. Fresh is the key to great Italian cooking and Agrodolce will not disappoint. My husband and I have been to Italy many times and have not found anything close to the feeling and taste of Italy until till now. We found Agrodolce off 81 on our way home from vacation, it is an 1.5 hours from home....can not wait until we are close to Harrisonburg again....we will surely make the trip. Grazie Millie Barbara and Michael

Located in a strip mall we found our new favorite Italian restaurant. We were given great bread served with olive oil and black pepper. We had the calamari appetizer. It was very good. Nice thick tubes. I love tentacles, but their version had none. The marinara was excellent. I had the Wednesday special "Make your own Pasta" I chose linguini with a shrimp vodka sauce. It was served with soup or salad. I had the minestrone soup. Both were fantastic. My girlfriend had the Margarita Pizza. The crust was perfect from a wood fire grill. Sauce was light with just the right amount of sauce, basil and cheese. We will definitely be back.

We visited Bella Mia for lunch on a Saturday and I felt like we got so much value! We ordered a lunch sized pasta (which comes with a side salad) and the lunch special, which was a small pizza and side salad. The service was great and they quickly brought out homemade focaccia bread with olive oil and a dash balsamic for dipping. The house salads came next and I was very impressed that they were topped with kalamata olives and artichoke hearts. The pizza and pasta came shortly after and wow, the pizza was just incredible! They must use a very high quality mozzarella cheese because the creaminess, stringiness, and flavor of the pizza was one of the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, this meant that the pasta seemed just average in comparison, but it was still very good and the portion size was really good for lunch. Definitely check this Italian place out if you're in Harrisburg, its very unsuspecting, hiding in a strip mall, but you would never know it once inside!

So this place is a great choice for lunch or Sunday brunch! Bella Mia has a lunch buffet, and it's really good. They had a great veggie lasagna, homemade meatballs, garlic mussels, this really crusty and delicious bread, and a great salad with olives and artichoke hearts and a fabulous house dressing. They offer a brunch Sundays as well, with a mix of breakfast items. And it was under 10$ a person, which is a great deal for Harrisonburg.
