We always have a great meal here. I had the new steak carnitas which were awesome. My husband had a BBQ burger, he enjoyed that with his 2 beers. We had potato skins and fried pickles for apps. The only thing that I don't care for is the garlic aioli that you dip the pickles in. It has NO flavor and looks just like a blob of mayo, I wish it was a spicy dip or something with a bit more of a bite to it! Other then that we will keep coming back because we enjoy the food, beer and atmosphere at City Steam Brewery!!!

The ambiance was pretty amazing - we had a great view and the building and set up is so cool. They had several ciders on tap, and my boyfriend liked the beer selection. Buffalo chicken dip and fried pickles were yummy. Then my cobb salad came and it was GIGANTIC, I couldn't even finish it! Everyone else with me also enjoyed their food. Thumbs up, I'll definitely return - even if I am an hour drive away.

The Mac and Cheese with chicken and bacon is delicious! A bit salty if one needs to watch their sodium intake but delicious!!! Great atmosphere!!

Had an excellent time for dinner. Drinks were great, food was great, and the servers were very nice. We finished our dinner in the beautiful (and historic) dining area and went to the bar. Bar tenders were funny and great conversationalists. We had hung out long enough that we were told that they were having comedy night in their basement. So, we went. Host and feature were absolutely hilarious. Headliner was ok…but we still had a hell of a great time. After comedy, we went back upstairs where they have a huge game room where we played some pool and listened to the live music from the bar area. All in all, on a Saturday night there is so much to do in just 1 building. A restaurant, comedy club, game room, and brewery all wrapped up in one. We shall return another day.

They're pretty heavy on the fried and meat options, although there are a few vegetarian options. I had the fried chicken, which was a little thick and very chewy, but not bad. The fries were delicious. The beer is good. The atmosphere is a little too loud for talking, it's definitely not a great place to have a conversation, but lots of fun if you're going to watch a game or casually hang out.

Great atmosphere. The wait staff was super cheerful. The food was just okay; chicken was dry and burger was well done (asked for medium). But if you're looking for a nice place to hang out with friends after the theater this place does the job.

Chris the manager is always the kindest person. If ever there is an issue or the waiter/waitress isn’t certain of how to handle a situation and Chris the manager is there, he is so polite and explains everything perfectly. Makes you want to return and was the reason we returned for my best friends welcome party for her wedding. He is so kind and welcoming and makes you want to return!

Haven't been in a couple years and the place looks great. Looks like the bar area was updated and had more light. The cheddar chicken is nostalgic to me and was really tasty. The beer was great 👍 thx guys!

Okay the vibes here are AMAZING. Our bartender was extremely attentive and kind. Happy Hour is Wed-Sun 3-6pm (which is everyday lol) Such a cool place definitely recommend coming here. Wings are delicious and the pretzel is so good! Recommend the Twist Sour Ale.

Popular Hartford eatery for decades under different names. Very large space which accommodates single customers to company parties. Our service was attentive and the food and drinks were good. The dumpling app was not something I'd order again. Nothing about this dish was distinguishable. Entrees were favorable. Our dining companion enjoyed his California chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado. The cod with capers and olives was okay. Something rarely seen on a menu is a ten ounce steak - the choices commonly are either huge or small in terms of size. Cooked a little rarer than ordered at medium well but satisfying. Both the cod and steak came with flavorful pea pods. Uniquely shaped and hefty fries came with the sandwich and steak.

Best pizza I've had in years, and when I mentioned that to folks at work, they seemed surprised due to enjoying other things and not having tried it yet. Highly worthwhile if you enjoy thin crust and brick oven pizza. The brownie sundae... You ought to split between 2 it more people. Ought to. I didn't, and I have no regrets. It was fantastic too. I was staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott and City Stream provides room service - the only gotcha I experienced was simply that City Stream couldn't bring a beer to my room... However, no issues work me picking up my meal and including beer. Per the pictures, I had no issue doing so. There's more food I'll need to try here, so I'm looking forward to my next trip even more 🍻
