Best Pizza ever!! Love the thin, crispy crust with just right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings!! Chicken and French fries are the best! We are thrilled to have found this place in Hartford!
Seriously the best pizza in town and maybe even the state. Great service makes it really feel like a small town “home” environment.
I feel like Poad's Pizza is hidden gem of Hartford. Their pizza is the best in town, and it's not even close. Cheese bread is classic like it's straight from an Italian diner. Also tried their new Poads Mini's last week.....amazing! And for a change of pace, the Chicken is awesome in its own right.
The whole family loves Poads! Their pizza is amazing (deep dish too, had it today for the first time) and the service is great. Wonderful family atmosphere where the owner(s) remember you by name.

Friendly and fast service!! We dined in and not only was I very impressed with the service but the dining area was also very clean and welcoming.
Now, the main course…. The garlic bread was too notch. The chicken tenders golden brown on the outside and juicy on the inside! The French fries are pretty close to being perfect 😍!

Do you love broasted chicken? Look no further! Poads is hands down the absolute best restaurant in Washington County to get boasted chicken, just ask the locals in Hartford or stop in and see how busy they are on during the weekends! On top of the chicken, the homemade pizza here is absolutely incredible also! They also have different sandwiches that you can get made from any flavor of pizza they have. I highly recommend the steak sandwich! They have a nice little dining area inside if you don't feel like taking out, as well as a little patio outside with tables for summer days! I recommend on weekends calling ahead a couple hours because they do get super busy for delivery. Overall the employees are awesome and super nice and the restaurant is very clean! Definitely check them out!
An impromptu dinner with friends took us to Poad's Pizza on a Saturday night. Poad's is a small, simply appointed restaurant in Hartford. The place was empty when we got there but filled up quickly. There was only one server and she was very attentive and super friendly. Our food came out quickly and was made to perfection. The owner even brought out our friend's pizza for a quick OK because they like their pizza basically burnt. The owner happily took it back for another few minutes in the oven to accommodate our friend's wishes. Our pizza was very good unburnt. We were not ushered out quickly when the restaurant closed. As a matter of fact we were encouraged to take our time to enjoy our evening with our friends while the owner took care of closing. We were there well beyond the doors being locked. It was a very pleasant experience at Poad's. We would highly recommend the restaurant for either dining in or delivery.
I have ordered food here many times and have never been disappointed! Their roasted chicken is the best! Every sandwich I have tried was delicious! Today I tried their deep fried ravioli! Yum! I still need to try a pizza since I just can’t stop ordering the chicken! If you are anywhere in the area or even if you’re not, it’s worth stopping there!
Local pizza joint serving pizza, subs, chicken and various sides. I'm not the biggest thin crust fan but I'm still a big fan of Poads. Crust has a satisfying balance of doughy softness and a little bit of crunch. Some of the sides have been a little underwhelming and I have yet to try the subs or chicken but based off the pizza I wouldn't hesitate. Support your local economy and your local economy will support you, highly recommended.
I ordered a chicken dinner from Poads last night. It was delicious! The chicken was so moist and tender, the spices in the breading were perfect, coleslaw very good and the piece of bread was a nice touch. I have referred 2 friends to them and they love the pizza with the sour dough crust and also their fish fries. You're missing out if you don't try them. Also, Jake, the owner is super!
This Is amazing. One of the best fish fry spots in town. Period. The pizza is amazing as well, especially if you like that old style cracker crust pizza.
