We ordered take out from this restaurant today based on a recommendation of a family member. We were so pleased with the quick service and hospitality we received from the employees. When trued the food we were amazed with the authentic taste and quality of the food. We were so happy with the our choice for dinner this evening. We will be sharinhmg this place with others and will definitely be returning.
Garlic naan is always spot on. Perfect amount of spice that doesn’t overtake the flavor, chicken is always tender and juicy. I’ve tried the tikka masala and vindaloo dishes both with chicken and they are so delicious. Service is always wonderful. Can’t wait to try some of their other dishes!
Cute little spot. The biryani bowl resembles a chicken and rice platter, but is way better. They even have white yogurt sauce. I got the chicken tikka with biryani, rice and dhal. The red onions on top are a huge plus. The chicken is minced small but still has some chunks in it and the gravy is delicious (think chicken tikka masala). This was not what I was expecting but I enjoyed it and ate more than half the plate aka good portion size.
I have had many deliveries ordered from this place !
They have good Indian food .
Appropriate for vegetarians too.
Taste is good ,
Quantity is good too .
They missed the notes of order couple of times so rating 4

Excellent food, excellent service from Jose, and an overall excellent value.
The food is very fresh and cooked to order perfectly. Changes from menu items are never a problem.
Our server, Jose, gave excellent excellent service even though the restaurant was quite busy.
Jose helps me to understand the menu, he answered my questions, and gave me an excellent suggestion for dinner - it was delicious.
Once you have eaten here you will certainly understand why this restaurant was highlighted on the TV show " Restaurant Hunter " .
I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are an Indian food connoisseur or you're just trying this style of cooking for the first time - you will not be disappointed.
Highly Recommended
PS: take a look at the beautiful ornate umbrellas hanging from the ceiling.
👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂
If you want to have a cultural experience without having to step foot on a plane, you have come to the right place. The moment you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful Indian ambiance, kind smiles, and the smell of fresh food. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, the service and workers are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and swift. If you have any questions on the ingredients or the way that the food is made they will readily explain it to you. The Naan, navraton korma and lamb over rice are amazing. Lastly, the restaurant is clean. I think that this is something that's always a concern but you can tell that they are vigilant in taking care of this restaurant. Perfect for lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. I highly recommend.
The dishes are quite unique, flavorful, fill of spices, impressive. The rice is delicious. We did have a reasonable wait, I don't think there are enough servers or maybe cooks. But the food is good, I would go back.

If you want to have an authentic experience ask your waiter to make it "Desi Style" which basically means to make it how the locals eat in India and Pakistan. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!
The owner and head chef is simply amazing in going out of her way to make sure her customers feel at home. After not appreciating the way my food came out the first time she advised me to instruct the staff to specify having it "Desi Style" and it turned out it literally made a WORLD of a difference. Not to say that the food that is always made fresh to order isn't just as good to the average clientele. Knowing me, I set the bar higher.
I came here for lunch and boy was the food delicious! I ordered a vegetable samosa to start and lamb korma for my main dish .
The samosa was perfect and so flavorful, I regret not getting a second one!
The lamb korma was delicious! The lamb was perfectly cooked and was falling off the bone, the korma had so many delicious flavors I couldn’t stop eating! I highly recommend checking this place out and I definitely plan to return in the future
Food is world class and eye opening, Service was good but only had one person working but he was super attentive, as for atmosphere there was not any music and was quiet but still positive.
Great little casual restaurant for no frills dine in or take out.
The food...is incredibly good!!!
This is my go-to for Indian food.
Delayed but awesome service review from couple of spots I visited in last 10 days....
Chickys Queens Clay Oven Zaiqa Halal Chai Chenak Restaurant Texas Chicken and Burgers Martha's Country Bakery Choopan Grill Selden Duck Donuts
Am going to try to cut it short....
Chickys one year anniversary was something I didn’t wanted to miss.. Went late but still got our free sandwiches and bought other stuff to support a true gentleman Asad Bajwa. He puts his heart into his business and knows how to treat a customer. He is also going to get me started with my Keto Diet.
Clay Oven is my favorite out East spot since Lubna Habibi knows the true hospitality and we always feel so welcomed. Amazing fresh food served within minutes! Never waited more than 20 minutes on the table. Her Naan is the bomb.. 🔥
Zaiqa Halal in Selden Ny is under new management and the owner is Abdul Bhai who also puts his heart into his business. Best Spicy Chicken Sandwich you guys can ever have with Masala Fries.
Texas Chciken & Burger in Centereach is not my favorite service spot however their food is okay. Something is better nothing at 2am lol
Chai Chenak in NJ is also a great spot however it’s far. I would recommend people to drive down from LI bcz I know it’s worth it. Their Chicken Charsi Karai, Lacha Paratha and Falooda is on point. Owner name is Khizer and is also a gem to sit and chat with lol
Choopan in Selden is under new management and food is great, Am sure you guys will love it. Food is much better now and he is also working on new menu pricing to bring it down to attract new customers. Definitely give it a shot. Owner name is Khawaja, very nice and humble guy.
Martha’s is always my favorite go-to spot for coffee & dessert.
Duck donuts in Selden recently opened and I think they are little over priced but their donuts are fresh and you can ask them to make it your way which is unique. Service is really good 👏
Here is few pics from these great spots.
If you want to eat affordable, scrumptious, carefully crafted authentic Indian food- clay oven is a MUST. As a foodie I've tried several restaurants and cuisines, CO is by far my go to when I'm craving top notch Indian food.
The menu has an excellent variety of dishes. My favorites are the chicken tacos [TO LIVE FOR] the chicken Tikka Bombay bowl, chicken samosas... Well, all of it.
Service is phenomenal. The cashier is very polite friendly he always has a smile. Staff is great too. I've interacted with the owners-- very swert ans accomodating. It reflects all around.
The prices are very affordable, large portions and most importantly the place is clean. That's very important to me.
I'd give 10 stars + I am a customer for life. Keep up the great food, service and love for your culture coming. Gracias 💚🙏🏼
