If you're looking for that place where "everybody knows your name", Babes on Plum is a must. Visit once and you're family. The food is all homemade with the finest and carefully selected ingredients. We've tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. The service is prompt and delivered with a smile. Babes on Plum ... what are you waiting for ... open for lunch and dinner and breakfast on the weekends.
This is our favorite place to eat in Havana!! We have never been disappointed with the food or the service!! We don't eat out much but when we do we go to Babes!!
Babes continues to be one of the best places in town to eat. Todd and Kelli are two of the hardest working people in town and care deeply about their business and community.
Went with the family Saturday night. I had the Prime Rib and was fabulous. Onion straws are to die for.Burger's are Horseshoes are great and topped off with Jan's cheesecake. Service was top notch and stopped by the kitchen to tell Chef Eric about our tasty dinner.
We saw a posting some time ago on facebook called "These 13 Illinois towns might be tiny but their restaurants are fantastic". I saved it so that we could try some of them out some time when we are out riding. So that's what led us to Babes on Plum today! And are we glad we came! The food was fantastic - the homemade chips, the spinach/artichoke dip, the tenderloin, the spinach/pecan salad... everything was excellent! We will be telling others about it!
The people there are very welcoming, helpful & patient. They have amazing food with a beautiful setting!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Stopped in after a Sunday drive and the food and service were amazing!! The Haystack Onion Rings, the Fried Green Beans, and then the Fried Chicken and Garlic Mashed Potatoes were to die for!!! A very enjoyable afternoon!
We heard of Babes On Plums from the Illinois 13 places to eat outside of Chicago Thrill list. We drove over 100 miles for Sunday lunch. Well worth the drive. The fried chicken, Reuben, and homemade chips were fantastic. The service top notch. If we are ever in the area again we will stop in. 5 Stars for Babes!
New Central PTO hired Babes to cater our Teacher Appreciation Lunch. The food was delicious, and we received nothing but compliments from the teachers and staff. Thanks Babes for a job well done!!!

Our family loves to go to Babe's because there are so many choices on the menu. We love their famous tenderloin!! The salads are great!! Our City has used the catering service several times and have never been disappointed in the quality of food or service. When you walk into Babe's, the servers greet and welcome you--the servers are always friendly and helpful. Kelly and Todd Shafer--Babe's on Plum was featured on "Gotta Eat" on WEEK tv in the fall of 2015. Babe's on Plum is an asset to Havana and surrounding communities--thank you for all you do for all of us!!!!!! We love the food and service!

The food is amazing, we loved everything we ordered from the appetizers and ice cold beer to the huge hand breaded tenderloin and hand cut chips! We can't wait to make another trip (2 1/2 hours) just for the great food, atmosphere and service!!
Wow! Last night Babe's catered a buffet style dinner for over 400 people at a benefit sponsored by the Jaycees and area runners for St. Jude. Hot and delicious crispy fried chicken was served, along with mashed potatoes and gravy, buttered sweet corn, rolls, and fresh garden salad. Well done Babe's! Thank you!
