Great food and friendly staff especially Barbara (Barbie), server. I requested chorizo with eggs, added polished sausage and OMG what a tasteful dish with this combination. Add salsa on top and you'll enjoy every bite!

Equipped with old-school oldies playing in the background and comfy faux leather booths, Chips Restaurant was great! It was my first time out here in Hawthorne and I wanted something home style and not too filling. I ordered the Chilaquiles which comes with two eggs and beans however I subbed the beans for hash browns! The staff was kind, quick, and seemed to dote on their regulars. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it came with nice chunks of fresh strawberries on the bottom and the waiter was kind to give me a refill and occasionally ask if I needed anything and if the food was good. It definitely was, chilaquiles werenβt overly spicy and eggs were sunny side up to perfection. Iβm not in Hawthorne very often but Iβll definitely be back to visit! π
Everything was perfect! We were 3 French people in paradise! The service is very competent, the food is excellent and well served, and the smile and friendliness are there at all hours! Go fast!
Super cute little restaurant, felt straight out of the past. Food was good and fairly priced.
We ate here twice and the food and service were outstanding. Great variety, reasonable prices. It was packed on Super Bowl Sunday morning but the staff was able to keep everyone happy. We came again Monday morning and had the same unrushed experience.

Delicious meal! I loved my club sandwich and the side of fruit was so fresh! My dad really liked his fish and chips too but said they weren't big pieces.
