My casino host at Green Valley Ranch resort made dinner reservations, but on entering I asked the hostess if we could split the comp between the lounge and dining room in order to take advantage of happy hour half pricing on martinis. The hostess said yes and so advised the bartender.
On the first round of drinks in the bar my wife went with an Elvis Presley martini (Stoli raspberry and vanilla vodkas, light Creme de Cacao, and fresh strawberries) while I chose the blackberry martini (Tangueray gin, St. Germain elderflower liquer, Funkin Blackberry, basil syrup and fresh lemon juice). So Good!
For round 2, you knew there would be a round 2, she got a bit tipsy on a Bo-Pino (Absolut raspberry vodka, Chambord liquer, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice) and I may have got giddy on a Ginger martini (Absolut pear vodka, Stirrings ginger liquer, St. Germain liquer, pineapple juice, lemon twist and raspberries). Both were excellent.
We then made our way to the elegant dining room where we were presented with menus and a bread basket with soft herb butter. We shared a California salad with each of us ordering the petite 8 ounce filets that was nicely charred while remaining medium rare as requested. These were tender and flavorful, and among the best we have experienced. For sides we chose grilled asparagus that still had a nice snap to them plus a baked potato. Service throughout was excellent.
One of the premier steakhouses in Vegas. Swanky with marble and an encased oversized glass fireplace. We overindulged at every corner. Started with the shellfish tower - amazing stone crab claws, king crab, Kumamoto oysters, 5 inch prawns, and halved Maine lobster tails. Some friends had the house salad - nothing special here. Also tried their French onion soup topped with gruyere, this could be a meal in itself, best I have ever had. And now the steaks - I always go for a bone in ribeye at these manly meathouses. This one was of course prime, seared just right on the outside, tender, juicy, and flavorful on the inside. I opted to add the seared fois gras on top and a side of day boat sea scallops. Suffice to say this was a badass meal. I will gladly go back whenever I am near Green Valley Ranch in Vegas. Highly recommended by a steakhouse connoisseur.
Upscale Steaks. If you're committed to wearing your grubby tee shirt and ballcap wherever you go, it's probably best to stick with the buffets. But for a more grown-up experience, this very fine steak house delivers. Prices are in line with a typical American steak house and the tab can escalate quickly given that everything, literally EVERYTHING, is a la carte. Many diners take a huge chunk off their bill by paying with their resort points (some slot machines pay out 12:1 on points, so keep an eye out for those).
Service was cool and professional, not especially warm, but there were no missteps at any of the dinners I attended. While the grass-fed filet that I had was perfectly good ($46 for an 8 oz filet, plus $6 for a gorgonzola crust) and the side dishes were traditional and executed perfectly, the real standout, the things I'd return for right now if I could, were the appetizers. You could, and perhaps should, just make a meal out of these dramatic, creative, insanely fresh, and delicious starters. The oysters I had were sourced from beds off Long Island, and presented with tiny scoops of gin sorbet. My dozen disappeared far too quickly. High points also go to the bar, which does indeed craft some of the best martinis and classic cocktails that I've ever tasted. Which was a nice break from the sugary concoctions offered at the other resort bars.
Acoustics in the modern dining room are muted but not stifling, permitting easy conversation wherever you are seated. Even the bar area has a relaxed and comfortable vibe.
I thought the food was spectacular. They did not have their famous tomohawk steak and had to settle for the 22 oz bone in ribeye which was superb. The cream of corn is to die for. Had the root salad. It was unique and delicious. Would also recommend the lump meat crab appetizer. Was too full for desert.
Been there, done that, I like Hank's. I have eaten at Hank's with friends, business partners, clients, and family, it doesn't change, it is the most consistent restaurant I have found in Southern Nevada.
Johnny V hates eating out and being disappointed but what I hate even more is taking friends, family, or clients out and being embarrassed by my restaurant selection. This will not happen to you at Hank's.
Take it from me, Johnny V, hands down, pound for pound, Hank's is the best steakhouse you will find.
Outstanding service!. The service at Hank's has been outstanding both times I visited. The Filet Mignon was delicious...so tender it barely required a steak knife! However; I was a bit disappointed in the mashed potatoes w/Gorgonzola cheese...they were a bit dry and lumpy. I've had the Gorgonzola mashed potatoes at T-Bone's (Red Rock Casino) and expected more from Hank's because of Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock being sister properties. The decor is outstanding...I love the sparkly chandeliers.
Get over the attire regulations people, we come to these places for great food! Which is exactly what you get, steak: perfect! Sides: outstanding for it all. Anything you like to have here is fantastic to say the least. Go for the food, enjoy the atmosphere, and the staff will follow suit.
Amazing!!!. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas. Their steaks are absolutely cooked to perfection! For sides I recommend the gorgonzola mashed potatoes and green beans almandine. I also like the blue cheese sauce for the steak. The steaks are seared at such a high temperature they have a crisp outside that locks in all the juices and flavors. The atmosphere is great too.
Hi-end neighborhood (casino) restaurant.... One of our favorite servers in all of Vegas works at Hank's (not divulging... keeping them to ourselves).
Yes, the food is pricey.. but this is one of the better steak joints in all of the town (not just Henderson).
Work with staff, they'll know better what you want & will like than you do.
A very good local restaurant... glad we have it close at hand.

Very good. Pricey as expected, but not at all unreasonable for a steak house. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 and will Definitely go back. Oh, for the other 3 reviewers who didn't like that they couldn't wear their caps: try Macdonalds, you don't belong here.
Best steakhouse in Vegas!. Title says it all. People complain about the price, but rarely ever about the food. Wine list is pretty good too!
I used to think T-Bones and Twin Creeks (at the Silverton) were the top steak joints in the ‘burbs, but Hank’s is a clear cut above.
I love going to Hank's! Such a beautiful place to enjoy a few drinks and have a bite. Their food and drink are yummy. Love the live music at the bar and the gorgeous-looking hostess. This is my to-go spot when I'm in Henderson. You don't have to make a reservation for the bar area but a reservation is highly recommended for the dining room area.
So we had a reservation and when we arrived there was a bit of a hiccup with getting us sseated. We were told that a booth wasn't available even though I passed one on the way to the table they were trying to seat us at. Nevertheless the GM did come out and speak with me and get us seated at the booth.
Our sever who's name is escaping me was FABULOUS. If I can figure out his name I will edit this post to include it. Any who we ordered 3 appetizers... crab cakes, shrimp tempura and seafood platter. I will say that the shrimp tempura was fine but I did prefer the other 2 appetizers more. We ordered the short ribs off the Christmas menu it was good but could have used a bit more flavor. My bone-in filet was perfect and the sauces that our server brought out were just an added bonus. Creamed corn and potatoes are gratin for sides to share. Creamed corn was delicious but the potatoes were just ok. The server made them seem like they would be just over the top; but they were just average at best.
We ordered dessert to-go which is why I don't have pics. The chocolate bar was ok, it has a crunch texture throughout that I wasn't a huge fan of; I expected it to be super chocolaty. We also got the cheesecake and I will say that was extraordinary, it is a must!
I will finish this up with saying that I was visiting because I really wanted to have the 24oz lobster tail that they are known for. However it is temporarily off the menu because they are unable to get it in due to Covid (words from server). I wish that the person I spoke to on the phone weeks ago would have mentioned it since I highlighted that in the conversation.
Any who was still a good meal and the server most definitely made it better with his wonderful humor, knowledge of the menu and ability to anticipate needs.
Reservations are a must. Came here with my gf and had such an amazing time. Dinner was delicious and service exceptional! The riesling was perfect. I highly recommend their sour sponge cake dessert, SO GOOD!
Lovely decor in the dining area and lively environment. A perfect dinner date restaurant 👍👍
Been here many times and recently had our team meal here and our out of town guests were blown way by the quality of the food. I got the Wagyu New York Strip and the sides were on point. Good service and good happy hour too.
Beautiful and elegant. A little fancy for us normally, but was fun to hit it up while in town. Steak was very good and so was the steakhouse chopped salad!
Been here for drinks and dessert but this time around I wanted to try their Rib Eye Steak since I'm trying to find the best Steakhouses in Vegas. We made reservations weeks in advance because I noticed they do get busy. Hanks is located in the Green Valley Ranch Casino.
They have live music and that's great but it's stinking loud in there. People screaming across the communal tables by the bar. Thank God that the noise level in the main dining room is better. Still loud but not as loud. :)
Our server was very nice but I completely forgot his name. They space out their food perfectly. We had our bread service, then our appetizer, our entrée then dessert. What was also nice is they bring a cart to your table and cut the steak for you if you are sharing.
Food:
Shrimp Tempura
Ceaser Salad
22 Oz Rib Eye Medium
Cream Corn
Creme Brulee - My favorite dessert
A few days before dining at Hanks, I visited Prime Steakhouse in Bellagio and Hanks is much better. The steak was charred, tender and seasoned well. My least favorite was the corn. :(
Overall, I will definitely return. If I was there with my girlfriends (like when I visited before) I'd sit at the bar but when it's date night, sit in the main dining room.
