Really wonderful bakery.....very diverse in their variety of baked goods. Well worth the wait to get in to order. Samantha st the counter was very helpful and friendly. I bought their pinwheel rye bread, cheese Danish, chocolate chunk cookies, and a cinnamon roll. All very tasty, and very reasonable priced. Highly recommend this bakery.
I have come here since I was a young child!!! I always got to pick out a decorated cookie!!! It was always the highlight of the trip! I remember begging to get an elephant ear cookie. They were always soo big to me as a kid! I always wondered why the adults wanted the sweet rolls.š Now, I have graduated to sweet rolls myself, but I still enjoy a decorated cookie or an elephant ear cookie occasionally just becauseā¦we all are still a kid at heart! Go check them out when you are in the area! It wonāt be a disappointment for sure! If you have kids along, let them make lifetime memories!!!
Good but not the best. Something is missing to be the best as 5 star. We ordered a Apricot sour cream, chocolate eclairs, tea cookies and cannoli. People there are very friendly.
McFarlan Bake Shop is on our must-stop list whenever weāre on Main Street. Between the amazing Strudels, Eclairs, Cookies and Pastries itās impossible to focus on one single item. Thatās why we load up a box and take it with us to go.
The Blueberry, Strawberry and Apple Strudels are what we come for. The cookies are baked fresh. The eclairs are crunchy with a rich filling and donuts are fresh as well.
The lines can be long at all hours of the day but the staff works hard to accommodate everyone. There arenāt any tables inside to hunker down and eat but there are tables outside.
If youāve been on Main Street on the weekend, youāll already know that street parking is your best option. You also have to pay for street parking as of the writing of this review so factor that in and download the Park Mobile app.
Lastly, the owner is a Liverpool FC fan so that makes this place a favorite just on that alone!
The ultimate bakery! I was drawn to it when I read that they make their treats from scratch. I have always loved desserts. Canāt walk by a bakery.

My mom and I came in Tuesday, 11/15, to buy sourdough bread. We do as often as socially acceptable, because it is delicious and very affordable for fresh made bread. A VERY rude customer came storming back into the bakery demanding to the very sweet sales clerks that she was given the wrong donut (which she was not and had clearly eaten half of). The front staff women handled her attitude with nothing short of loving grace and replaced the donut she had incorrectly ordered before she threw a ridiculous temper tantrum. The staff handing the situation wonderfully and just add even more reason to come back for our bread and treats. Thank you for your excellent customer service even when rude and entitled individuals do not appreciate it.

Family favorite!! We stop here every time we are are in NC. From bread to cookies, we always leave loaded up. Highly recommend this place. Guaranteed to have the cookie you wants. Not just a chocolate chip or peanut butter.
Best. Bakery. Ever!! From early morning things, to all-day treats and meal necessities -- they have it all. Even sugar free items that are marvelous, not cardboard-tasting. Will forever go there for all baked goods!!
ABSOLUTE BEST PART of my TRIP to Hendersonville today! I loaded up a box with SEVERAL of their AMAZING baked goods. I've sampled all (and already devoured a couple entirely!) and WOW!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I'm a pretty decent amateur homw baker and I truly appreciate the excellent quality of your confections! I WILL be back!! Sure do wish you existed in downtown Greenville, SC (though probably better for my waistline that you don't! LOL)! I came here on the recommendation of a friend while on vacation from Florida. All I can say isā¦wow. The apple fritter was the most incredible pastry Iāve ever eaten, and they had at least ten other things I wanted to try. Huge selection, great service, and very reasonable prices. I drove an hour from Black Mountain to check it out and it was absolutely worth it!
I knew this place was going to be everything I wanted to be as soon as I saw it and caught a whiff at the front door. Classic old school Bakery with amazing baked goods. The best gingerbread and sugar cookies I have ever tried! WOW
Fantastic little bake shop for all your needs. Not only do they have baked goods, they also carry breads as well. I highly recommend their apricot filled bite sized turnovers.....They just melt in your mouth.
The staff was so friendly, working diligently to get everyone served. All prices were reasonable, and I was surprised to get three different desserts for less than $7! All of which were very yummy!
We always stop anytime we are in Hendersonville! The cases are always packed full of delicious treats and Iāve never had anything I didnāt like. Donuts are a must when they are not sold out (because they are that good, they go fast) and with the prices you could almost get one of everything without breaking the bank!
Love this place!! I have enjoyed donuts, cookies, bars and much more from here. Have never been disappointed and everyone who works here is extremely nice and helpful
This bakery brings back wonderful childhood memories & the staff is always kind & courteous. It's worth the beautiful drive just to have their treats!
