Great little strip mall Mediterranean style restaurant. The Lamb gyro and Greek salad were so fresh and flavorful. Great service and friendly staff, who also happen to be the owners. I will definitely be a regular.

Full of character and charm, Pita Express won my heart the minute I walked in the door. It's a small restaurant with a fantastic vibe and absolutely delicious food. The falafel sandwich 🥙 was one of the best I've had. A generous serving with all the right ingredients. I ordered a side Greek salad which was equally as good and has just the right amount of dressing and goat cheese - yum 😋! And the owner who serves you with a big smile is also a belly dancer teacher! Trying to talk my wife into some lessons...trust me you would not want to see me belly dancing. The food I consume these reviews tends to land directly there, it would not be very pretty I have to say, this is the first restaurant I've been to that offers actual lessons. Been to a few Morocon restaurants that had belly dancers, but let's not digress. Pita Express, a great place for lunch, and they serve what looks like a fantastic breakfast. I saw a lamb omelette on the menu, so I will have to come back for a visit!

Delicious and fresh. Lamb gyro was great and French fries were crinkle cut and nice and crispy. Bring cash though, they don't take cards.

We were on our way to Cashiers and stopped off for a quick bite. The best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a long time. The Gyro combo (includes a side Greek salad) was perfect. The lamb was spiced perfectly and was so tender. The soft pita bread was remarkable. The yogurt dressing was light and flavorful. Haven’t had a better gyro in a long time. It is an unassuming little place in a strip mall. The lady who runs this place seemed to know everyone who walked in. A popular little place in town.

I wish we could allot half stars. So I really enjoyed the food it was really good though a little light on meat. But the salad was fresh and a good size, the sauce was on POINT!! The downside is that you're going to wait. Even during the week you'll wait, so this isn't what I'd say is "fast food". It is also a kind of snooty area so the other clientele isn't friendly. Now the woman working the cashier was very VERY friendly. But no one else was. It's a rather cozy dining area too so you do sit a bit shoulder to shoulder making it a bit awkward if you have anyone with special needs. Dirty looks from other customers because you have a child who is developmentally delayed makes for a rather tense lunch. At least the woman at the cash registered was kind even if no one else was.

Best Mediterranean we’ve EVER had, and Lina and Mohammed (the owners) are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. All homemade. We’re vegan as well, so this is a phenomenal find! Please go, you won’t be disappointed. It’s even dog friendly outside, she gave my little guy a piece of lamb and he was THRILLED! We’ll be back.

My husband and I think this is the best gyro we’ve ever had. I got the chicken and he got the lamb and we shared, everything was amazing. He also said the Greek salad was one of the best he has ever had. We can’t wait to go back!

First time here & had the veggie plate. Service was very welcoming & food came out quickly. Very authentic & delicious! I’ll come back & try more thing for sure. Restaurant & bathroom were clean. Styrofoam plate was the biggest downfall. Festive decor inside. Outside was mellow but it’s just a simple strip mall parking lot on a busy road. So noisy but I still enjoyed being outside. This will be a regular stop when in the area.

Hands down the best falafel and gyros we’ve ever had in the US! The owners are from Jerusalem and strictly follow the recipes from there. They even use imported spices! Must try if you’re in the area. Have cash or check, no credit cards accepted. An ATM is right in the store.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Was looking forward to going again, but forgot they closed at 2:30! So sad. Had to settle for something far less exciting somewhere else.

Pita Express catered our wedding for over 100 people and through all the planning, tasting, and logistics, the owner Lina was kind, professional, and accommodating for everything we needed. The food was delicious and perfectly made with love and every single bite was eaten. Her food is reason enough to made a trip to Hendersonville and I will be back again very soon!

This is my favorite place to eat lunch in Hendersonville. Fresh and amazing. Great service and incredible food. The owner Lina is generous and amazing and full of positive energy. Her smile lights up the place. I highly recommend Pita Express. The food and service are great. The dessert is amazing. Lina makes sure that everyone is happy especially the gluten free people like me. I had the bird's nest and it was like a taste of heaven. My husband and I eat there regularly since we moved from SC, and have never had bad food or service. Also, I took a cooking class with Lina and she did not disappoint! She was on top of everything and took care of everyone. If you haven't been here, you have to try it! The restaurant is too small and always packed and difficult to move around, but still excellent service, and atmosphere is clean and relaxed. It's worth it.Try it once and you'll be hooked.

Good food, had items outside of the standard gyro and hummus of most places.
