Awesome. I was in Harriburg for 6 weeks starting in April of 2011 and I ate lunch at the 230 cafe more times than
I can count. Great service and awesome homemade deserts!

A new favorite. I joined a group of my friends for lunch at this restaurant, and it was a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was very friendly, and everyone seemed to know eachother. The food spoke for itself. I had macaroni and cheese since it was a special, and it was wonderful. My friends raved about their food as well. I was impressed and will definitely be back.

Great food. By far one of the best dinner style restaurants in the Harrisburg area.

Hometown favorite with flair from the 1960's. The location is right on the Main Street or Route 230. Highspire's only living legend of having spawned some 50 years of serving hometown food. The loyalty of the customers shines as you walk into the dining area, I have been told anytime you walk in the door seating is always limited. You have to check out the Pipeliner for breakfast if your mighty hungry, try the small order if your appetite is a bit less. Oh and those scrumptious desserts, made right in the kitchen by staff that take that extra dash of pizzazz to touch your taste buds. If you walk away hungry it is your own fault all of the servings are more then enough for a hungry man or woman.
Parking is around the side on Ann Street and behind the restaurant with ample spaces including employees. Seating in the dining area is facing route 230 so lots of action can be observed during business hours from about 6 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week!
Ask anyone in the restaurant about the history of the place as it seems the previous 2nd owner, a wife and husband were not making much money when the husband went to work for the Alaska Pipeline. After 4 years of working on the pipeline a few recipes and names of the operations have made their way to Highspire's 230 CAFÉ menu.

It was my first time here and our waitress, Brianna did an amazing job. Knowledgeable, kind and offered incredible service. That pipeliner definitely gives the best bang for your buck! Will be coming back for sure

Had the macaroni and cheese with stewed tomatoes. Very tasty and a nice sized portion. Just because I'm a stewed tomatoes kind of guy, I ordered an extra side of those. For me, that about makes the ratio of stewed tomatoes to macaroni and cheese just about correct. Good bang for your buck.
