Been a while since I had Chinese takeout food this great. Traveling back from east end, made a stop over and dine in. There’s only 2 tables, one for table of two, other table of four.
Curry chicken 9.9/10. Sauce just needs a pinch more thickening. But the flavors, wow. Very delicious.
Beef with garlic sauce. 10/10. Kids are the toughest food critic. Will not eat unless the flavors are great and the beef is tender. It’s devoured. Great portion of beef with right balance of veggies. Broccoli blanched perfectly. Celery cooked just right, not too soft, not too raw. Same with carrots and snow peas. Excellent cooking technique. Flawless execution.
General Tso chicken. 10/10. One of the best takeout gen tso chicken ever had. Very crispy, not too much batter, right amount of chicken meat ratio.
The star of the show. The egg rolls. 10/10. This place now sets the new bar what 10/10 is. Not too thick on the wrapper, wrapped nicely, great ratio of pork and cabbage, fried perfectly. Fresh frying oil. Egg rolls are usually too greasy, old rancid oil, too much cabbage, thick wrapper, or not wrapped tightly. There’s absolutely nothing to improve on this egg roll. I haven’t had a phenomenal egg roll like this since 1980’s. Reminds me of the old egg rolls before NYC changed all the cooking rules in 90’s.
Service: 10/10. Kind and personally delivered our food to the table. Actual wait service.
This is our new lunch pit stop whenever we head back out east. Too bad they’re so far away, we need a phenomenal takeout place like this in Nassau. They should consider upscaling to a full Cantonese restaurant if they make Chinese American food this good.
I have to say this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. No kidding. The price is economy, the staff is friendly, the vibe is welcoming. And most importantly, the food is amazing. Beats some expensive restaurants I have been to. Plus, the chef customizes ingredients for us since we are vegetarians. Only one thing: there are not too many seats inside. Mainly for take out.
Excellent Chinese take out! This was the only place within 10 miles of our hotel that had great ratings and it did not disappoint. We got the Dragon & Phoenix and Kung Pao Chicken combination with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I asked for the Kung Pao to be extra extra spicy and they delivered! It’s hard to find places that will actually bring the heat when asked but this place does. Service was very polite too. Would definitely get this again if ever back in the area.
Best Chinese food place in Holbrook. The food is always fresh and the place is super clean! The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.
Great tasty food, great service, and staff. Had an incident that I was accidentally given the wrong order and immediately they delivered to my door the original order. I truly appreciated their customer service.and kindness.
I’m in Patchogue Village and I found this place based on reviews. This is crazy I thought, there must be 15 Chinese restaurants closer to me that deliver, as I braved the traffic on Waverley Avenue. In the end, the food is everything the reviews said it was and they were even nicer in person. You can tell they take pride in what they do and it shows. Everything was top notch, curry chicken, beef with garlic sauce and general tso chicken, mix soup and egg rolls (even had little napkins wrapped in the egg roll package ends to catch moisture and oil) best in the area hands down.
Caved in and decided to try something new. I searched for a local Chinese food businesses with good online reviews. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Their food was so good!! Super delicious. Plus they are kind and their customer service was bomb. I happened to see that they aren’t available on DoorDash for delivery. The egg roll I order was a bit. However, I will say that the cooks did try to soak up some of the grease prior to selling it to me. Unlike other Chinese food businesses that do not care about important aspects as such.

POV: I grew up in queens around some great Chinese food. I've been in long island for a while and the food out here never made the cut, until I found this restaurant. Their food is always fresh, always good, and the owners are incredibly kind and friendly. I've tried a few different dishes from them and I always leave wanting more. If you want some great Chinese food, search no further, this is the spot.
Oh and their prices are AMAZING!!!!
For me, great Chinese take out starts with wonton soup and I am in love with theirs. Delicious broth with and small, pillowy wontons. I love the hot and spicy beef and the chicken amazing. My go-to Chinese take out spot. Very nice people running this very clean shop!

Update: 3years later and still producing great food. Very consistent. I love this place and everyone there is so nice.
We have eaten at over 50 Chinese restaurants and take outs across Long Island this year. This place is NUMBER 1 . The best, flavor is great, high quality food, great service , great pricing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Ps I drive 25 mins from my house. To get food from here.
The customer service here is amazing!! Placed a very large order and understandably there was a mix up, received pork instead of vegetable dumplings. But when I called to let them know they immediately offered to make me vegetable ones . The vegetable dumplings were delicious and they were so nice when I called. Will def be going back!!

First time here.. saw the Google ratings (4.7 at the time) and decided it was a must try after the other two "less than good" experiences I've had elsewhere recently.
Ordered my GO TO dish that many have a hard time making right, as simple as it is. The Singapore Mei Fun was spot on. One of the best I've had in a long time, regarding flavor, seasoning and texture (not overcooked). Had plenty of shrimp, pork and I think chicken. It could have used a little more green to make it prettier and more colorful, like snow peas or even more scallions, but now I'm just being picky. Noodles were great. Had just a bit of heat from the crushed red pepper, (I like it spicy).
One thing I can say is that in the time it took to prepare my meal, about 10 minutes, there were at least four or five other pick up orders and it was barely even 4:30 pm. It's a popular place.
The lovely and very cheery woman at the register handed me a beverage when my order was ready for pick up, which she didn't charge me for. She didn't have to do that.. She may have done this as a professional courtesy because I was still in my Chef's uniform. I thought that was sweet and hope to return the favor someday. I am definitely coming back AND telling all my foodie friends. On second thought, maybe I'll keep this little secret to myself! O=|8'
It is so hard to find good Chinese these days. New Century is hands down the best Chinese food on the island. Everything is fresh and delicious. Every dish I have ever gotten from here has been great. I drive 20 minutes out of my way and pass 5 other restaurants to get food from here. And they are the nicest people you could ever meet.
First time trying this place. Loved it. Now I know why the reviews were so good. Best in Holbrook by far. Will be back soon (and often).
One of the best Chinese food takeouts on the island. The food is always hot even after bringing it home and letting it sit for a while. Plus everything always tastes great and they dont mind when I make adjustments to meals because I'm a very picky eater. The price is also great for the size of the portions. Would recommend to everyone and I do all the time.
They were recommended highly from my daughter who is a volunteer emt at the FD. We are new to neighborhood. We came from Nassau n we would drive back to our Chinese place just to enjoy one of our favorite places. So we now have found a great place. Food is fresh delicious and nice portions. Not too happy they’re closed on Mondays. It seems to be the new way with the Chinese restaurants. Closed on Mondays😐

Best Chinese food I have ever had. Accommodating and seriously kind people working there. Had an issue with my order and they went above and beyond to fix it. Will definitely continue ordering from here!
