Awesome little bakery with tons of options. We found them when looking for gluten free treats on google maps. Showed up and HAD to get a couple each of the GF cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns. YUM!! Definitely our favorite Holland bakery. Will be back next time we are in town!
Great gluten free and vegan options. The employees are very friendly too. I love the holiday cookie decorating kits they have especially since they are offered in gluten free and/or vegan. My daughter enjoys them a lot.
Very good Brioche, great macaroons, fair trade highland espresso and when I paid I asked twice if she got everything. I love the creativity of the entire family. Check the wall art, the light fixtures, tables, and the counter/bar to get an appreciation. Nifty place, hope they can soon get a stand at the city market.
We asked Saunders Family Bakery if they could make a giant cookie for our wedding instead of a cake. They made it happen and it was 4 feet of AWESOME. All of our guests loved it. We did chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and white chocolate macadamia nut. The cookie was delicious and super fun. Kris was very easy to work and delivered our cookie for us too :)
Was visiting the area and saw this place while searching online for gluten free restaurants. So glad I made it over there to try a couple things. The gluten free sticky bun and blueberry scone were to die for!! My son enjoyed the gluten free cinnamon roll. I'd be in trouble if I lived closer. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself a treat ar this bakery!
Such a sweet place! Artistry in every nook and cranny. Great coffee drinks, friendly service, and tasty baked goods--including many gluten-free options!
Saunders Family Bakery is fantastic. The people are pleasant and kind. They have the best gluten free goodies I've ever had, and their bread is awesome too! Not only that, which is great, but they are also very respectful of the LGBT community and remember pronouns. They even remember my name! This is a wonderful family bakery that is more what you'd expect to find in a small backwater town. I will always go here for my own wants and desires, and I will recommend it to anyone. I can't say enough good about them. Thanks for being here! 😍
Probably the best bakery in Holland. Cakabakery is good too but they’re never open and they don’t do scones and stuff. Saunders has a coffee shop feel and an interesting and delicious range of baked goods made in-house daily, including a good selection of vegan and gluten free options. It is tucked away, so I haven’t seen it before (I am here several weekends per year and always looking for good baked goods), but it’s my new favorite. They have better hours, better products, and better service than the other bakeries I’ve been to in the Holland area (and now I think I’ve been to most or all of them). They even have unsweetened oat milk!! Definitely worth a try to judge for yourself, but I will be making this my new regular spot. Highly recommend. Only sad part is that they’re inexplicably closed on Sundays, like many other businesses in town—people still want cinnamon rolls on Sunday!
We tried some cinnamon rolls and a gluten free cookie at the farmers market. My son is a picky eater and he devoured the cookie. My grandmother and mother tried a cinnamon and couldn't believe how soft and buttery it was. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you want something good.
Small quiet shop off the busy downtown streets, many vegan options. They support other local businesses by using local ingredients and seem very welcoming, there's a small donation area for hopepkgs. Overall a great experience, will be back for more sweets! The G.F.V. B.E.C. was my favorite.
I had the most delicious cinnamon rolls from Saunders Family Bakery this morning. Yum!! The cinnamon roll was exactly perfect texture and flavor. Also, I love how warm and kind the staff is. Definitely recommend!
Gluten free bakery and toast choices, fast and friendly service and a good breakfast. What more could you want? The employees are obviously happy to be there and I was able to get a little work done as well.
This is a great hometown coffee shop that serves up delicious drinks and has a great variety of homemade pastries. They even have gluten free options. Kris and the staff are always super polite and will answer any questions you have. I love coming here and wish I could do it more often! Thank you Saunders Family Bakery!
Kris and her staff are amazing! We ordered a beautiful swan cake and about 80+ cupcakes for my daughters birthday. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my order. The swan was exact with the details I wanted and everything tasted amazing. Everyone loved them! We’ll definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you guys for doing such an amazing job!
Super excited as you gluten free options. Super frustrating to not be able to have gluten. So happy to have found this awesome bakery/cafe filled with yummy goodness. Carrot cake muffin are so yum. Just tried the new cranberry walnut? Muffins I believe that's what that was. Loved them! Creative flavor too.
Cute place with great service. Tons of vegan and GF options. We stuck with regular sweets and tried the carrot cake, sticky bun, and a cinnamon roll. All delicious! Great laid back atmosphere. A short walk from downtown, but worth it to get away from the crowds.
We are from Atlanta, Georgia and I was looking for a bakery to deliver birthday cupcakes to my daughter at Hope College. I called one bakery and though they had good reviews were not helpful or accommodating. I decided to try Saunders and they were so kind! Took time to help me choose several flavors and delivered them in a timely manner. My daughter was so excited and said they were delicious and all of her friends loved them as well! We will be coming up to Holland soon, so hope to stop in and get a taste for myself. Thank you, Saunders Bakery, for helping this southerner share a little southern hospitality from afar! ;)
I've only been here a couple times so far, but I plan to come back often! Their prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of their food. The baked goods are so good and fresh, and the gluten free pastries are so yummy! I can't wait to become a regular customer here!
