Stopped here for lunch while checking out some stores in the area and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere in here is so cool and the food was amazing. We stopped in for some beers originally, but the fries and pizza looked so amazing we had to order and we were glad we did! The duck fat fries were some of the best fries I've ever had and the pizza was delicious. The crust was so light and the toppings were perfect. Highly recommend the clam pie! Will be recommending this place and coming back in the future.
This place is awesome. First things first, it's a brew pub. They brew their own beer, and they've usually got something for everyone in that regard. They also have a full bar, so no worries if you don't drink beer. Now, the food. They've got some interesting bar nibbles, seasoned popcorn, flavored fries and such, but they also serve a limited menu of more substantial food to make a meal: specialty pizzas which change more or less seasonally, interesting salads, etc. The menu is not huge but they have figured out how to stay in their lane and do everything that they do really well. Bartenders and wait staff seem to change a bit, but somehow the service is always solid, and people seem to like working there. Thursday night jazz is the bomb: a really solid trio and weekly walk ons who join in on the jam. H&N is a nice looking, comfortable, local place with a really great vibe that attracts a mixed crowd of locals, weekenders, and visitors. They've figured out their space in town, and they do what they do really well. Swing by and check it out.
Pizza is great and the other menu items are also excellent! For dessert the brownie is scrumptious . Portions are generous.
I like the warm atmosphere and friendly staff . It is a great spot for date night !
Conveniently situated on Main Street, and offering both outdoor and semi-outdoor seating as well as quick and friendly staff, this place is great if you’re hungry enough - or just fancy a drink.
Be aware that prices are steep, but serving sizes for food are big enough to satisfy most appetites. The selection of beers isn’t amazing but it does offer something for everyone, and the cocktails are strong-ish and tasty.
The main issue we had was with the flavours and seasoning of the food - mainly the lack thereof. Fries were great but the mayonnaise was too much vinegar, the pizza was generally tasty but would’ve been so much better with more salt and seasoning. The Mexican street salad had enough of a spicy kick, but not enough other flavours. A bit of a shame, but overall still a positive experience.
Stopped on a Saturday afternoon. Immediately seated and drink order taken. Not a lot of beers, but the saison I had was fantastic. Mrs got a blueberry margarita which she loved. Menu selection isn't the biggest, but it's really just a small brewery to grab a bite and a drink. Had the pizza fries which the Mrs said was the best sauce, even better than mine but that's another discussion. Got the Lindy wings which were awesomely crisp and salty. The dipping ranch seemed homemade and was equally good. I though the Mrs was going to drink it at one point. Service was great and a nice place to chill for some pub grub.
One of my all time favorite hangouts in downtown Honesdale. The space itself is fantastic, and historic. The food is always hot, delicious, and served quickly. The beer is always cold and the selections ensure there is something for everyone. The service is friendly and timely, and I simply can't say enough good things about the establishment as a whole. A must on every visit to NEPA.
Nice brewery with really friendly staff, good beer and pizza. Only reason I only gave 4 stars was due to the lack of selection of their own beers. Unfortunately that seemed to be due to a lack of brewers.
Nice brewpub. Very good pizza. Beer was good. Very small menu. You're going for beer and pizza. They dont do much, but they do it well.
Good beer and great vegan pizza! Not a fan of the dead animals on the walls. ADA restrooms with grab bars.
A stylish, well managed brewery in downtown honesdale.
Great vibe, good service and a variety of quality craft beer.
The cream ale was well balanced. Some of the IPAs were good and others were a little funky.
The pizza is really good and the fries are very good as well.
This is a must try if you’re in town.
Fantastic! This is the first word that comes to mind when I think back to when i came to grab a drink and food. We ordered pizza and wings. Both were great! But...of course my favorite was the wings!!!! The sauce on the wing was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy! So delicious my mouth is watering thinking about them! They also brew their own beer.
I got to try their home brewed beer and WOW!!!! If you don't have the time to sit and grab a beer you can grab a can or more to go.
Oh and the duck fat fries...MORE PLEASE!
Came back on a Monday (limited menu) but I did get to try different items on their menu. The garlic knots were delish. The Mac and Cheese was great. You get to pick your own add ons! I had the squash, roasted red peppers and the garlic & fennel sausage.
A charming place. Sampled the food which was excellent!(price ok) If your into specialty beer, this would be a place for you.(a few selections were not available that were on the menu) There are also cocktails available. ( Prices high based on what was served from observation) The atmosphere was very nice. On this occasion, 50s and 60s music filled the air. The art and decor was pleasant on the eye. Service was friendly and overall good, but slow to check on the customer at times. This establishment does have local bands play from time to time. The patrons consisted mostly of 20 somethings to perhaps 40. A young and fresh business that has a city like feel to it. Enjoyable experience.
Highly recommend the chicken liver pate and duck fat fries. Mussel pizza…not so much. Bloody mary is a good deal!
I loved the ambience of their logo and the atmosphere. Definitely order a plate of Duck Fat Fries. Amazing and a generous portion for a group of four! My only disappointment was that jazz slated to begin at 6pm had not started by 6:25pm, yet the sign said 6pm.
My Thursday nights at Here & Now were the highlight of my time in Honesdale. The Jazz band caressed the music out of their instruments with soul reaching beauty. Guest artists provided an extra layer of magic weaved in.
The servers and atmosphere are inviting and low key. The food is an artistry in itself. The joy of their pizza specials shall forever dance upon my tastebuds. I'm not a drinker usually. However, I got a sip of everything my table ordered and NOTHING disappointed. AND the kitchen has multitalented game! At the end of the night, they took up percussion and some vocals.
Spend some time at Here & Now, especially Thursday nights, I promise you'll be glad you did.
We got pizza fries. Was very good. Pizza and fries were crispy ans cooked to perfection. House beers definitely recommend. 👌
Awesome Hometown Revitalization! How cool is it to have a local return to their roots after going to school and to follow-through on a dream of theirs - opening a brewery in Honesdale, PA?
I visited 'Here & Now' at the end of June and was immediately impressed with the establishment, it's decor, and ambiance. It was neat to watch the restaurant fill up as afternoon turned into early evening, turned into dinner...
I thought most of their beers were good (I'm not a sour beer guy) and I was immensely impressed with their dark-IPA 'Midnight Orchestra' I can not recommend this beer enough; I brought a growler home to share it with friends!
Their brisket, chowder, and pizzas wasalso incredible - as well as the popcorn at the bar.
You'll have a great time with family &/or friends, plus you'll be cool as hell also!
The atmosphere, food, and beer were all really good. It was refreshing to find something a little nicer than what's normally available around here. I'll be back soon.
