Amazing , no words can describe that place . We went 2 days ago for our first time ever. Went back tonight just for half dozen to keep us happy until tomorrow ! We just had an amazing dinner but nevertheless, we HAD to stop here . We will go back get shirts and plush toy for sure before we fly back home next week . This is truly our little gem found on this trip to Oahu . Took us 8th time in 6 years but be reassure we will never come to Oahu without visiting Leonard’s bakery every again ! We will spread the words also as in our honest opinion , we just can not, not like it . We had the originals, the cinamons, the Lee something ( salty and salty ) , their big loaf of bread is just wow ! We made the best sandwich for the beach the next day with it .. just wow . Moist , sweet but not too much , just perfect . We also tried all their stuffing options , costard , chocolate and Lilikoi was our personal favourite . Congrats to an amazing team , you keep the line moving pretty fast . Future customers don’t get disoucrsge by the line outside , we were waiting outside and in about 10 minutes we had our first order .
Mahalo , the Barbeau family from Canada .
Hands-down the best malasadas in town. They come in various flavors and optional filling... but the best has got to be the original unfilled. The donut comes warmed and the dough is so moist and fluffy.
Tip: when you order, take a bite right away! Texture isn't as phenomenal when at room temperature. (but still great!)
The guava muffin I got was so-so. Would not get it next time.
The best malasadas in town!! So fluffy and made fresh when ordered!! Love it here!! One of my favorite must stop place to go when we come into town!!
Malasada are the best here nice and hot and always fresh , plus all the other great pastry’s always a line out the door ....🤙🏾
I was told Leonard’s was the place to be for Malasadas and they did not disappoint. When we are in Hawaii again we will definitely make a stop at Leonard’s
Awesome
1st thing in the morning all the way from the Westside. Shared this Awesome spot with a guest from Virginia. We got one dozen of the original and every filled malasadas. Worth the drive for that awesome malasadas. And we shared some with our tour guide at Kanile'a Ukulele oh his was a happy camper
A definite must!!!! The best dessert I’ve had while in Hawaii
A must when in Honolulu. Leanard’s malasadas are so good and always freshly made. My favorites are custard, macadamia and the haupia filled malasadas.

On my honeymoon after breakfast this morning we walked over here after the Uber driver on the way to breakfast said it was a MUST! He definitely wasn't wrong. My husband is obsessed and I'm okay with that. Glad we don't have these in Dallas, TX or we'd both put on some serious pounds. Can't lie we made 2 trips here today.
Malasadas are to die for! We didn’t know for sure what they were but decided to try them, delicious 😋 We’ve already been there twice.
I had to try the Malasadas after I saw them on the best thing I ever ate. I was not disappointed. They make them fresh to order all day which was a surprise.
This is an entire experience! Waiting in line was even fun because everyone was so excited. I loved all the options but my favorite was the haupia version. The decor is awesome and eating in the parking lot is fun because the atmosphere is so lovely and busy. Will definitely return in the future!!!
Filled my stomach right up! Everything tasted good! A must go in Hawaii! Got the Malasads Puffs the six pack with came with all the flavors and was amazing. No tables inside or outside. Just ate next to our vehicle.
The Malasadas were amazing! We didn’t have to wait long for them, despite how many we ordered! We got there pretty early, and we still had some trouble waiting on a parking spot. We loved all the flavors we tried! They were all hot and fresh!
This bakery doesn’t have a place to sit anywhere inside nor outside. It’s a ‘to go’ place. I almost got a heart attack seeing the empty shelves but the stud behind the cashier assured me that they have malasadas - cooked to order. I had to ride the bus in a place I’ve never been but I braved it up for some fluffy Hawaiian donuts! Definitely worth the adventure! Noice and Yum!
Yeah. This is the one. It lives up to the reputation. You get your Hawaiian donuts here.
I walked here from Waikiki so I built up a little bit of an appetite. I ordered a custard malasada. It was still warm when they handed it to me. Was sweet but not too sweet. Good stuff. Definitely worth coming out.
Early morning stop, for a seasonal pumpkin, macadamia, guava and original. They are tasty. I can’t say they are 5 stars as no one greets you, try’s to make you feel welcome, the taste is nothing exceptional, it’s more of get and out you go. They don’t have them displayed for you to see. You order and go wait outside for the window to hand you the link box.
Leonard’s is probably the most famous name in Oahu and for a good reason, their malasada donuts are the best! I make sure to stop by and try at least one or two on every trip.
The parking lot here is small but usually not that busy. Inside the menu is relatively simple with a few different flavors and you can place your order then wait outside for your number to be called.
Everything is made fresh and as such the malasadas come out so hot and delicious that I recommend eating them right away to get the best bite. All the flavors are delicious but my favorite is guava and custard, though haupia is also a popular choice.
Grab plenty of napkins as the sugar does get messy but it’s so worth it. The prices are fantastic too.
The hype is real! Learned about this pop culture historic restaurant on YouTube about things to do when visiting Oahu.
A unique pastry. Malasada taste like part doughnut, part pan dulce with a softer and silkier texture. Sampling a few of these pastries won't break the bank. The pastries are made fresh so don't worry if you don't see any in the counter display. The guava malasada was really good. Although I did see an expresso machine I don't notice that they sold coffee.
You can also buy merchandise such as hats, stickers, t-shirts to name a few. The merchandise is a bit on the pricey side.
Super friendly staff. Parking is a bit challenging. Wait times can vary. During our visit we had no wait but by time we got our pastries there was a line out the door.
Not just donuts.... Portuguese donuts!! Amazingly GOOOOOD. Wish they made Portuguese Egg Tarts too, but this will do. I love the fluffiness of the donuts and the light custard filling.
Iconic Hawaiian treat - every list of “things to eat” in Hawaii will list Leonard’s Bakery, and with good reason!
We visited the original location on Kapahulu Ave where they have been making and serving fresh hot donuts for 71 years.
You go inside and order at the counter, and then wait outside by the window for your order to be called. There was a crowd of people outside but the wait was only 5 min.
The malasadas were amazing- but they must be eaten hot!
The sugared donuts were nice, but the filled ones were the best. The macadamia nut cream were sensational.
