I never would have thought to order any of this, and it’s some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We split two dishes: one was steak, escargot and broccolini and the other was buccatini with chorizo ragu and octopus. The food was unreal and our waiter, Vincent was perfect!
Sensational restaurant .... The Pig and the Lady! The cocktail is called The Golden Pig! A combination of herbs, lemon and sparkling rose .. note the lemon grass. My ginger beer ... not just any ginger beer out of a bottle! They make their own , crushing real ginger and adding yeast and lime and sugar to create bubbles and serve it on tap! The chicken wings are the best I have ever had and the oysters are zapped with a spray of whiskey and unbelievably, cumquat! Mains ... the BEST pork chop I have have eaten!
Loved this place, the wait staff is fabulous, the food is fantastic. The wine list is short but decent. Great place for lunch. Will try it for dinner next time I'm on Hawaii.
The food and service here was excellent! The Ahi Tataki as recommended by Tyson was amazing, it melted just like butter in your mouth, and the duck pho was just as yummy and satisfying. Overall I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely come back when I visit Honolulu again in the future. Well done to all the staff, managers and owners!
Had the banh mi (brisket) w/fried egg. Great sandwich!! It came with a small bowl of their pho (fuh). O...M...G... never before have I tasted such an amazing broth!!! So full of flavor, and highly addictive!!!
Fabulous, we braved the tail end of a storm for dinner and may I say, it’s worth every bit of the frizzy hair I gained running to the taxi.
We had: Nori chips, Octopus sausage, Pork Jowl and Duck Pho, all shared, all sensational
The Pork Jowl is a delight to the mouth and MUST be tried. The Octopus Sausage is a surprise in both presentation and flavour.
Our experienced waiter suggested a bit of a departure from the normal service course, and it really worked with these dishes.
Overall, thank you to the wonderful staff at Pig & The Lady, we had a great time in a funky location with fabulous food!

A table of 4 celebrating my birthday. The server was perfect...knowledgeable, friendly and handled questions graciously. The eggplant starter, our entrees, and desserts were flavorful and well presented. Ambiance comfortable.

The food defitnely lived up to the hype, probably the best duck I've had here. Obviously marinated for a while because it was tender and full of flavor. The homemade ice cream sundae dessert is to die for. Amazing how they get the custard so perfect over it. The ahi toast is also a staple with generous portions of ahi that go surprisingly well with the avocado and toast.
The service and atmosphere were lacking, though. Took 9 minutes just to be acknowledged at the table by a server when we were seated. No specials or tasting menu (despite the website saying as much), but the servers were friendly and helpful when asked, it's just the personal service that's missing, which is a shame because the kitchen spends so much time preparing and crafting these dishes that the intent never gets communicated to guests. The fact that it is more of a bar atmosphere with loud music and everyone seated in one large, open brick space doesn't help the servers at all either.
The 5% service charge is also odd. I haven't seen that anywhere else. They charge $42 for 7 small slices of duck, so why not just charge $44 at that point instead of making a big fuss about caring about the staff.
I would come back for lunch when it's hopefully quieter and more personable because the dishes really are good.
Delicious higher-end fusion-y Vietnamese but expect to pay a premium for it. Quality-wise it's quite good, and totally understand the hype. While I did enjoy it, I can't say it was so good that warranted the higher price tag.
Very tasty and good standard of food. So nice we came here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch, we tried the banh mi with pho dip which was delicious and worth trying, the chicken wings and cocktails were also quite good. The soft serve was very yum.
For dinner, we didn’t book, but was lucky to get a walk in table due to a no-show at 7:45 pm. The ahi tuna toast is a must have, as with the scallop crudo. The banh xeo entree was so large and main sized but was very tasty. We tried the pho and pork collar which were both really delicious. The portion sizes here are very generous and we didn’t need 2 mains, so we skipped dessert.

I've been coming to Honolulu for years and can't believe I haven't discovered this place before. The staff was super friendly, food was amazing and unique, and prices were reasonable for what you get. Come hungry and leave happy and full.

We arrived at 5:30pm when the restaurant opened for dinner. There was a line outside so make sure you show up early or make a reservation if you don't want to sit at the bar.
Atmosphere: It has a nice cozy atmosphere with low lighting but not too low. It was relatively quiet even when completely packed. I don't usually say anything about a location's bathroom but it was funny to see a "Big Trouble in Little China" themed bathroom with a picture of Kurt Russell because he ate here once. The seating is all metal. Quite uncomfortable for me due to a condition but figured I would note this.
Service: Staff was nice and very friendly. They joke and play while keeping a very good pace even during a rush.
Food: Amazing. Everything was delicious. They managed to put together the perfect fusion of Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese and American flavors with the dishes that my friend and I ordered. Portion sizes were perfect. I highly recommend appetizers, the pork chop and the lamb chop (which is something because I usually don't like lamb).
Pricing: As with anything in Hawaii, it does come with a higher price tag but it's worth the experience. Don't let this be your deciding factor on whether or not you want to eat here.
The service was incredible. It’s a bit of a long wait for food and it’s gets pretty noisy in there. Don’t have pictures but the Chicken Wings are a must try. They are delicious (along with everything I tried) and the perfect appetizer to have with a little side of rice.
So so so good!!!! There was five of us and we all had the Pho French dip ( it was recommended by many travelers to us) and it did not disappoint! We loved it! The meat was falling apart, the flavors blended and complimented each other perfectly. The dip was to die for.
We sat at the bar and it was very pleasant watching the girl behind the counter make deserts with such passion and care. Everyone was very nice at this restaurant!
Make sure to make reservations! It’s fills up. And be sure to make it before 2:30 for the Pho French dip as they only serve it for lunch.
For dessert we had the Hanoi egg Coffee. It was bliss!!!

Hands down. Best of the best so far. Everything on the menu looks delicious but of course we can’t eat with our eyes. lol! So we had to stick with three main course and appetizer. Pate toast delish! I love pate! We ordered the banh mi pho! Chicken and rice and the beef rib pho. I am coming back here the next time in I’m Hawaii
Went for a dinner in the weekend. Pho dac biet and escargot are very good. The tea salad has interesting flavor but dominantly sour - would be much better with less sourness. Highball cocktail is good. Daiquiri is again dominated by sourness.
Restaurant was quite packed Saturday night so it's very loud.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Oahu so far! I just visited yesterday and loved everything about it. The food was incredible, top 10 best sandwiches I have ever had (the oyster bahn mi was absolutely amazing) and the drinks were also really tasty. I also enjoyed the interior design *you have to use the restroom ;) * and the fact that it’s located in the historical and picturesque China Town.
The prices are not bad (for Hawaii standards).

We managed to get a seat at Pig and the Lady without reservations in the late afternoon on a weekday. We only realized shortly after that they’d been awarded with a James Beard, so we count ourselves lucky to be seated, even if it was at the bar.
The waitress/bartender was so sweet and helpful, offering help and suggestions on the menu. We ended up ordering several items to split, considering the light poke snack only a few minutes prior to our arrival. We had the tea leaf salad, the pate crostini, and the five spice duck, capping it off with a Viet iced coffee.
All the food was delicious, the tea leaf salad was well composrd, with a selection of tasty ingredients. The pate was similar, simple, with a lot of flavor. Lastly, the five spice duck was delicious, but a bit on the dry side. I expected a much larger portion as well, so I felt a tiny bit underwhelmed for the cost, but wasn’t disappointed by any means. The Viet coffee was great and strong.
Would definitely recommend to friends looking for something a bit different from the casual seafood fare in the area.
Truly a hidden gem in the middle of Chinatown and one of the culinary highlights in Oahu.
Food was delicious, full flavored, and creative.
Certainly some of the best Pho I’ve had anywhere.
The additional pho ribs is more than worth the price, fall off the bone tender.
Burmese Tea salad kept the authentic flavor (parents lived in Myanmar/Burma), yet the dish was elevated with a modern twist by including fresh uncommon ingredients, mixed at table side.
Atmosphere was modern and pleasant, and they accommodated a large table with children and an infant during the lunch rush hour.
Be sure to make a reservation, you won’t regret it.
We stopped here for lunch and it was amaaaaziiing! Big portions and really tasty food that is fresh and not heavy. We did not have a reservation so we had some seats at the bar - the service was really good too. The bartender from Colorado (sorry we did not get his name) is so amiable and recommended us some good food options! Promote the guy!
The lunch crowd was lively for a Thursday because they were all enjoying the great food and service. Our server, Shaun, was great from the moment he introduced himself through the order taking and the final bill. He was focused but courteous, friendly and prompt but never pushy. Well done Shaun! We had the Le Fried Chicken Wings for appetizer and the wings were fried crispy just right and mixed with the "money sauce" - yummy!! Our main dishes of Pho 75 with beef rib and the off-menu oxtail pho were delicious with the most sumptuous soup we have ever tasted. The oxtail pho soup had a nice kick with some red chili mixed in but not too much. The Pho 75 was another classic made even better with a broth enhanced with that licorice flavor from star anise mixed in beef rib that melts in your mouth. Our experience at P&L exceeded our expectations and we will definitely visit again very soon!
Went to P and L in October and finally got around to writing a review in December because my husband and daughter insisted I do so. That’s how awesome and memorable our dinner experience was. The food, service, vibe were all top notch and the quality of food for the price and service is unbeatable. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends who are planning a trip to Oahu!
One of the best bowls of pho I’ve ever had!! Super tasty food and staff is really nice, make sure you book a reservation though! Chicken wings are really tasty. Their soft serve also very good. Prices are definitely on the higher side but food quality is amazing and feels like it was made with love. Has a clean washroom.
