Great food, great service, chill vibe. Not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Happy hour started at 3pm. Not as expensive as expected considering it's in Waikiki and seems like a fancy trendy hipster sort of place, especially in the evening.
Ricotta hotcakes, banana and honeycomb butter! Most eggy pancakes I can recall ever eating. Loved them! Korean chicken and salt pepper calamari were fried perfectly. Flat bread were pretty good, although my preference is for it to be a little thicker/doughier and not so crispy like a chip. Can't go wrong with fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella, but we also added sausage to to to make it even better. Flat bread with goat cheese was also a hit. Junior burger was good as well, but nothing to write home about. Ended up being about $40 per person for a lot of food and a few drinks.
Honestly a little surprised this place only has a rating of 4.1. I’d give it 10 ⭐️ if I could. The inside is cute AF. I’m sold on the massive vaulted ceiling and the wood slats.
But more importantly, this was the best breakfast I’ve had at a restaurant in awhile.
The fruit bowl was fresh and absolutely delicious. My fresh Aussie plate was perfect - the poached eggs were incredible and the salmon was the absolute best. I’m beyond full. My partner had the ricotta pancakes and they were worth the wait.
Tempted to come back for dinner or breakfast again before we leave. If not, will definitely swing by next time we’re in Honolulu.
Another famous brunch place run by Japanese western style! The restaurant itself is settled in a very comfortable high-ceiling wooden building. The food tasted great as well as their appearance. The restaurant is crowded at dining time, and the lights were bit dim in some hours. However the staffs were very helpful. Their most popular dishes are "ricotta hotcakes"(the honeycomb butter is awesome) and "full aussie".
This place isn't cheap but the food and service is top notch. The restaurant has a relaxed, tropical vibe and the menu has lots of variety. We couldn't go past the classics like the Aussie Breakfast and the Fritters, both of which were fabulous. My husband said it was some of the best scrambled eggs he'd ever eaten. Oh, and the coffee is some of the best we had in Waikiki!
Eating breakfast at Bills was a surprise and delight. I’m from Sydney Australia and was told I needed to try Bills while I was on a trip to Hawaii. The ricotta hot cakes were amazingly light and fluffy and absolutely delicious. They even had Vegemite on the menu. The service was friendly and the atmosphere fun. They even brought out a complimentary pistachio pavlova with a candle in it when they found out it was my husband’s birthday. It was so good we went back just for the pavlovas.
I have been to “Bills” in Sydney and Bondi, the service was great, food excellent and reasonably priced. Hawaii was exactly the same, I enjoyed brunch so much that I returned for lunch a couple of days later. Only regret is not getting there for dinner. I will be returning I my next trip!
We always come here for at least two breakfasts when in Honolulu, as it’s the only place to get a proper Australian style coffee! Or any other coffee really. All the food I’ve ever tried has been delicious, Australian style cooking with American size portions; so it’s reasonably good value for money. The service is friendly and attentive. Definitely try the ricotta hotcakes!
I was very excited about trying this place. Everything on their menu looked so good!
We came here for breakfast in a Sunday around 11 am. It was pretty full but we got seated quickly. They have a huge seating area!
I ordered the full Aussie breakfast but without any bacon or sausage. The server offered to substitute haloumi cheese instead. I really enjoyed the food! The eggs ofcourse needed salt and pepper but the tomatoes were so delicious! I don't usually like tomatoes in a discernable tomato form but these were so good! Hubby got the ricotta hotcakes which he really liked and so did I! They had this caramel on the plate which was delicious with the pancakes! I guess the ricotta is in the pancake mix because it's not on them. Very good nevertheless! I did really want to try the corn fritters! Wish they had an option for one or two as sides!
We also had a mocha which was good but lukewarm!
Definitely a place I'll recommend.
For great service, atmosphere and bacon you can chew!!!
It's got ricotta pancakes so incredibly fluffy you eat it all without even realising ... So yummy!!!
Much bigger than the one in Sydney which is great so seating isn't an issue.
It's a little confusing as on Google it says "Bill's Hawaii" and the sign says "Bill's Sydney" it's to the left of the Hard Rock. The server was very attentive and informative. As this was our first time there that was helpful. The food was great we got the Ricotta Hotcakes, the Full Aussie, a fruit cup and extra toast to share. The raspberry jam and the syrup for the Hotcakes was amazing. We would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone visiting Waikiki.
Crispy peanut chicken sandwich was yummy. I tried some of my friends Full Aussie breakfast and it was okay. I didnt like that style sausage. Wanted to try the pancakes but we were already half way through our meal and getting full so we cancelled it. Earl gray iced tea was not worth $6. Place is pricey in general. Forgot to use the yelp 10% discount if you check in :( Free 2 hr parking with validation at the Bank of Hawaii lot across the street. Nice staff.
Went for happy hour and we should have started with dessert! The ricotta hotcakes were delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. The other food and drinks were good too. But the hotcakes were a highlight on our trip!
Had been to Bills once before, in late 2019. It was more packed and bustling, and the food I had was less memorable. This time, in the post-COVID re-opening, it was a peaceful dining experience, each group spaced out across the soaring dining room. I had the sweet corn fritters, which I would absolutely recommend (loved the avocado side)
The food amazing, drinks great and excellent ambience. To match this, the service is very good. But the best part,a must have are the hotcakes/pancakes..with maple syrup and banana, this is heavenly

Wife and I had a wonderful time and brunch at this popular eatery away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Very friendly staff, delicious food and the wonderful conversation with the table guests next to us made this a 5 star experience! I definitely enjoyed the ricotta pancakes and would highly recommend it. Wife thought it was too "eggy" which was true, but it reminded me of a custard/loose bread pudding. I would order it again! Unfortunately didn't catch a picture to post.
This was our first visit here and right off the bat, we LOVED thelayout, the design, and the atmosphere. The vaulted ceilings and wooden walls--connected with floor-to-ceiling window walls--made it feel like a really open and modern and classy diner experience.
Absolutely amazing food!!! Everything was delicious, and the staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. My only critique, really, is that everything was rather expensive for the portion sizes--especially the calmari, which, as AMAZEBALLZ delicious as it was, was barely worth the price (we got six decent pieces (about the size of two quarters side-by-side) and maybe 4 tiny tentacles)....and the same for all the other appetizers. I know the restaurant is situated in the heart of Waikiki, but I still feel that that cannot justify the cost. I will certainly go back, but probably on a much more-limited basis than I might otherwise. If they lower their prices (and I'm talking like $5 across the board), I'd be back ALL.THE.TIME and recommend it to everyone I know every chance I get!!!
So, for the good stuff:
Drinks: the bloody mary is a MUST!!!!! Without hesitation one of the best we have EVER had EVER!!! SOOOOOO savory and the cilantro was EXACTLY the finishing refreshing touch that put this drink over the top. Cucumber Canteloupe cooler was yummy, too. I might recommend doing it frozen daqiuiri-style (with blended frozen cantaloupe) to add more depth and texture to the drink.
Appetizers: Again, the calamari is INCREDIBLE!!! We also had the chicken wraps, which, were equally mouth-watering. Savory, sweet, spicy, and balanced with a cool tahini(?) sauce. Soooo goood!!!
For entrées, we had the shrimp burger-- a unique and creative menu item that I haven't seen anywhere else in the world--was equally unique and flavorful and a worthy of a second visit. We also had the curry mahi with roasted kabocha (small pumpkin) and brown rice. Obviously my reviews here are possibly overly enthusiastic, but I was truly blown away with the balance of taste and texture in this dish. I cannot WAIT to try this again!!!
