The facility is very clean and cozy. There's even a second room with longer tables to accommodate larger groups. There is plenty of free parking behind the restaurant with additional metered parking out front if necessary. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious and was like home cooking. It's really authentic Vietnamese food when you want to get away from the tourists influences.
This was my second visit and it solidified as a favorite. So love this place! Food tastes so fresh and delicious. The crabmeat curry is definitely a must try, had it both times lol. The only item I disagree with which many people raved about were the steamed dumplings. For me they were unpleasantly chewy and didn't care much for the flavor but every other thing I've tried was grrrreat! The owner gives great friendly service although I do agree with one of the other posters who said he can get a little judgy if you order a lot of food. But even she wrote lmao so we laugh with him lol.
The crab curry is delicious and is a must try. I really like their pho too. Owners are awesome, my three year old son claims Bac Nam his favorite restaurant, and I don’t disagree with him! Price is on the lower side too!
We had to come to this area to drop off our rental car with Turo. I searched for Pho and I this place was a block away. All reviews say family owned and amazing food. I couldn’t agree more. We got shrimp summer rolls and pho. Service was quick and very friendly.
I guess this restaurant must have been here for a long time. I always drove by and finally went to eat. Pretty good pho, etc. They serve no hot tea though. Parking in the rear.
Had the crab curry and the garlic shrimp. delicious everytime. Very welcoming staff . BYOB
We decide to go to Bac Nam based on reviews my husband read in Yelp. If I don't get pho in Vietnamese restaurants, my typical go-to dish is lemongrass tofu with rice or vermicelli. I've had this dish at several other Vietnamese restaurants around the island. At Bac Nam, when the plate was set in front of me, I knew eating it was about to be a unique and great experience. It was the first time that the tofu came with some sort of house- made topping--like some sort of red pepper ( but not spicey) and garlic dressing. I usually always always add spicey garlic pepper sauce from the condiment dish on the table. This time I didn't have to. The little cup of fish sauce that comes with the dish wasn't necessary either. The way this particular dish is made at Bac Nam makes the addition of any other sauce or dressing unnecessary (at other places the addition of a sauce was definitely nexessary). It was absolutely THE best lemon grass tofu with rice, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes that I've ever had! My husband orderd combination pho. He asked that they hold the triple, and he just kindly mentioned that he does like tendon. Well, they really delivered on the addition of extra tendon. Unlike other places, this isn't something they charged for. Also, their steak is cut thicker than other places we've been, which made for really good eating. . When we left we were very satisfied! I highly recommend Bac Nam. The food is great, and the staff is very kind and attentive.
Seafood crispy noodle was superb. The gravy base has a delicate flavor with a very slight sweetness to it. $14.00ish
Delicious pho! You won't be disappointed. Quick and easy bites off of S King St.
Well. I went today 2/9/2023, and let me say. The reviews are correct. I went alone, got the small Crabmeat Curry with bread. I ate until I was stuffed, brought it home, ate it for dinner. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. The staff are very kind, filled my water several times without asking 😌 I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you all for a great meal ❤️ I am coming back for pho tomorrow! 😋
