I love the açaí bowls here. They have a few different locations but they’re all good. When people come to visit I make sure to always take them here.
I’ve never had someone tell me they didn’t love it.
My favorite part about banan is that they don’t add sugar to their bowls.
The Pineapple Yacht was a must try of this ice cream shop. it located in a wired passway to the beach which was bit hard to find. Thankfully some one marked the entrance on google review.
The Pineapple Yacht was made from local banana and is plant based. For me. the smooth taste beat most other diary free ice cream i have eaten. May is that made of the blue java banana AKA ice cream Banana. Any way i hope if they have develop a pineapple ice cream version of this pineapple yacht. Which will be more awesome. Recommend for everybody to try when visiting Wakiki.
This is literally mashed up frozen banana. From the texture, it is amazing that this is pure banana. However I'd take a real banana ice cream over this any day. 4 stars for decorating it well with half a pineapple. However overall this doesn't add up to the hype. My recommendation to the owner is to do a Dole whip version of this or use real banana ice cream interlaced with the banana cream. Great attempt. Not quite there.
My husband and I came to Waikiki knowing we’d want to check out this spot, especially due to it being dairy-free for my husband. We got the chunkadeli, and wish we had returned to try more! The banana flavored soft serve was delicious but not super sweet and went well with the papaya boat (softer and easier to eat in than a pineapple) with dark chocolate, granola, macadamia nut honey butter, honey, and shaved coconut — sooo good! Highly recommend and you can chill at the beach after ordering. A nice photo spot with everyone’s surfboards parked along both sides too.
It Island bowl looks great but I wasn't feeling the banana soft serve. Wish they had other flavors/options to choose from like pineapple or even regular soft serve. I love bananas but didn't care for the soft serve.
Not bad! First time trying banana ice cream and as the name suggests, it taste like bananas. Definitely not as sweet as regular ice cream, so if you are craving something like soft serve, this might not cure your cravings. But it is a tasty alternative :) the macadamia nut butter complemented well as well as the papaya bowl.
So good!!! Perfect for some with gluten and dairy allergies. The macadamia nut butter was divine. Definitely recommend coming here - fast service even with a long line. I wish I was a local so I could eat this all the time!
Stop for a grab-n-go refreshing and DAIRY FREE sweet treat on your way from the beach.
It's off the beaten path in what I call "surfboard alley" just across from the international market.
If frozen treats aren't your thing the nutty buddy is a filling shake and the lemonade drinks are a great pick-me-up.
Essentially, this is ice cream made with banana instead of cream. It's pretty good. If it wasn't for the signs, we would not have known this place existed, as it is, literally, a hole in the wall.
We ordered a Strawberry Sunrise smoothie. Looking back, we should have picked up a Locals Only creation. Maybe the next time we're in Honolulu.
My 6 year old daughter thought the smoothie was delicious.
You looking for vegan ice cream, smoothies à la island style?🍦🏝️
I recommend this cute place.
Located in a small side street, which has surfboards locked away on the one side and the shop on the other side. The street leads directly to the beach. 🏖️
We got the pineapple yacht and the poolside smoothie. 🍍🥥
Make sure you order without honey 🍯 if you want to make it vegan 🌱
Both were super delicious! 🤤
Definitely recommend! The prices are like everywhere else in Waikiki. 😮💨💸
An amazing desert place for all the Vegan food lovers. All their items are dairy free made out of banana and tropical fruits. I got the #5 ‘Locals only’ which was fruity and yet not too sweet. Wait time can be about 15-20 minutes depending on the time of the day. Giving the store location additional charm are the surf boards lined up on both sides of the alley leading to the Waikiki beach. Definitely a ‘must go’ desert spot in the Waikiki beach area.
We were walking down the main shopping strip and saw a sign for a delicious dairy-free treat. We found Banan down the surfboard alley in Waikiki and decided to try the lemonade, the matcha and the Royal Hawaiian float. All were delicious and so perfectly refreshing on a hot/humid day. Perfect for vegan, dairy-free, egg-free, and gluten-free. The soft serve is made with bananas and water... And that's it! No added sugar. The matcha was made with matcha, almond milk and honey. Yummmm. We'd DEFINITELY go back again and recommend this place for sure!
My first time in Hawaii and this was one of my favorite ice cream places. Very unique idea. You must get the one with macnut butter extra macnut butter! On my last day of my trip I came back twice in a day before I left.
Absolutely love this place!!! Such an amazing vegan soft serve, it's so hard to find fun and good non-dairy floats and ice cream, this place is a real gem. I would happily eat here daily, I highly recommend checking it out!!
Lovely location on the beach with all natural fruit flavors - dairy free and gluten free and almost entirely nut free with the exception of macadamia nuts. Incredibly delicious shave ice that is so soft it is like eating the softest snow. We’ve visited many times during our trip - highly recommend!
Really dope beach shack right between the main road and the beach. No waiting area, but like everyone else you can stand and take pics of all of the cool boards stored along the walls. My friend and I ordered the Locals Only and the Amazon. They definitely pack a lot of ingredients into each bowl or cup. Prices are reasonable and the everything is really fresh. The shack does get busy throughout the day with all of the beachgoers passing by. Just try to get there early in the AM or the later afternoon to avoid the lines. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and its definitely a fun place to go to grab a snack.
I had never had “banana” ice cream before but it was really stellar, the service was super friendly. This was a perfect after dinner treat without making us feel too full! They also have a nice list of smoothies as well
Baristas we're very sweet, and both my coffee and fruit bowl had a fresh, authentic taste. The stand itself is very appealing, and I would highly recommend you give it a visit!
