Reviews Down To Earth Organic & Natural Honolulu

I would come to Down to Earth if I need spices that I can buy in smaller quantities, since I do not like to buy an entire jar of spices when the recipe only asks for a pinch of the spice and would sit in my pantry unused afterwards. I spent only $2+ for purchasing 4 types of spices in small quantities. It also makes me feel good to purchase items that are healthy for my body and the environment, at the cost of slightly higher price tag. I wish I can bring my own containers or bags for the spices and food items - I understand that it's for hygienic reasons but makes me feel bad for using plastic when the purpose of bulk shopping is to reduce plastic consumption. I know the business is trying their best so I wish them luck.

A great market with, proportionately, a large selection of fresh produce (locally grown when available!) and also a wide assortment of packaged goods, snacks, beverages, bulk ingredients, and also a large beauty / wellness section. Friendly and helpful staff. Some parking available off-street in the little parking garage.

I was in vegan heaven!! This is the best place for prepared or self-serve vegan and vegetarian food as well as a grill. I tried a bit of everything at the hot bar… love the curry and stuffed shells. The tofu musabi is great too! There is seating upstairs with utensils, etc. Friendly staff. Parking garage and restroom. Clean. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you have to check this place out!

If you're ordering food, keep in mind this is in a small natural foods grocery with a FULL & delicious vegan hot bar. If you're picking it up, you might want to just go & see what they have available on the bar before ordering, you'll probably only be waiting a few minutes if you order in person. The sandwich I ordered was delicious but I was highly tempted by the hot bar, especially since it was already ready & I was hungry. I got some hummus from the bar but the extra wrap listed on the menu was not available. I had to buy a pack of flatbread from the grocery, took 1 out & offered the rest to the transients outside. Overall a tasty & unique experience.

It’s been a bit difficult to navigate with a wheat and gluten allergy since I got here so I very much appreciate you! ❤️ The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. I highly recommend and it’s great that you offer gluten-free and dairy free options. ❤️ tysm

As the other reviews suggest, this is a heaven for vegan/vegetarians. We enjoyed the Avacado toast sandwich, lasagna, noodles, smoothies with ginger, pizza and desserts. They also had soups and Indian and Thai options. Convenient and multiple locations with parking and grocery store.

Every time I come to Oahu my best friend and I come here daily! This place is the absolute best for people with food allergies, specifically if you need gluten free & vegan food options! The pastries are amazing! Gluten free/vegan chocolate donut is to die for! Huge kombucha selection, and so much more!

Worker in the wellness department was so nice n helpful. I went in looking for a specific product. They have so many products, I was overwhelmed! She saw me looking lost and came to my rescue. Got what I needed, and walked around to check things out. Will definitely go back!!!

Everyone said it would be difficult and expensive to be a vegan in Hawaii and they were right. Thank goodness we found this gem! They had everything we are used to having on the mainland at decent prices. Great fresh produce and a nice variety of Vegan and Gkuten free product. The parking was tricky but definitely worth the trouble. Bring your own bags as they charge 10 cents a bag!
