I enjoy all my food experience in this unique place. I LIKE the interior design of this place.
We get some appetizers , very tasty š¤¤
My margarita it wasnāt balance.
The Male/Female bathroom is not the coolest thing in this place
Such a great place. Staff and drinks = on point. Will not disappoint. Definitely recommended. I tried a few bourbon but can't wait to come back for some food. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday looks delish.
Excellent food, prices and customer service!
Home away from home while In Honolulu! I loved the homemade breaded , deep fried pickles.
This is NOT your typical hotel bar... probably because it used to be located elsewhere & just happened to find new, bigger quarters at the Ala Moana hotel.
The scotch selection alone with make any connoisseur's heart beat faster (kinda wanna be locked in there for a week and try them alllll), the cocktail menu is eclectic & fun, and the bar staff friendly & knowledgeable. The beer leans heavily towards IPAs and pale ales, both of which I despise, but their "The Floor is Guava" sour was so good I got two :-)
The food looked pretty great all around, and the seafood cakes with tobiko vinaigrette and caper sauce were fantastic: crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The scotch egg comes highly recommended, so that'll be the next thing to try.
Opening hours are also longer than most hotel bars I've been to.
Really excellent.
My favorite on the island. Great food, with the largest whiskey/bourbon menu i have ever seen. The owner has specialty whiskeys that you canāt get elsewhere. Atmosphere and service were fantastic.
Best meal Iāve had in memory! Was a bit apprehensive, as a New York City based foodie who had seen the gastropub scene 10-15 years ago and felt like food might be dated. But boy was I wrong. Scotched egg was perfect with a kahlua pork Hawaiian twist. Bone marrow was an amazing reminder of why the bone marrow craze got so big back then. Drinks were balanced and creative and perfect. Good smoky manhattans, complex modern flavors. Oh other highlight was vegan beet poke!!
This is a really nice find that we didn't expect as we were waiting for our reservations at another place. The fried pickles are awesome and the drinks delicious. I had two different drinks but I definitely recommend the lilikoi drink. Our server, Preston, was awesome and recommended both my drinks. Honestly, his service is what took this place from a 3/4 to a certain 5.
This restaurant is awesome and has a great ambiancešš¾. Shout out to Reese, our server, that provided excellent service šš¾. Food and cocktails were delicious š. Look out for the hidden path š
First time that we stopped for the weekend brunch. They have a good selection on the food & drinks menu. The food we ordered was really good. This is the place where we will definitely be back.
Finally made it to a table. Reaervation issues are still a thing. My server Mathew was super friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from chosing an amazing whiskey, provided perfect suggestions for the food! The bone marrow is so soft and buttery. And the Scotch egg, perfectly cooked. I will say the cucumber that came with it seemed a weird extra. But it did well to clean the pallet. Overall wow! I will bring friends next time.
What a great place! Loved the ambience and cozy feeling. The bartenders and owner were all very personable and made us amazing drinks. We had the shrimp bruschetta and Scottish eggs, both were scrumptious.
The world food travelers stopped off at Pint & Jigger in the Ala Moana Hotel. It took a while to find the place ā¦ the male half of the duo doesnāt ask for directions and the better half was given erroneous information. Itās in the Kona Tower of the hotel on the ground floor.
We were seated at the left end of the main room, just before an area that can be curtained off for private parties, on a bar seating. The drink menu (the larger of the two) is in various fonts and it took us a while to find suitable cocktails. We prefer a bottle of red but there werenāt any on the menu and I didnāt ask. So, a Moscow Mule for the lady and a Hendricks gin & tonic for me.
We ordered the Brandy and Bacon Strawberries, Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts and the Marrow of Bone (2 bones) to start. The strawberry dish arrived first ā¦ It looked like dessert. Pieces of strawberries and bacon in a brandy sauce with a dollop of strawberry mascarpone. The bacon was delicious! The pan roasted Brussel sprouts arrived next and they were sweet and well charred. The sauce from the strawberry dish was great on the Brussel sprouts. The bones were petite; weāve had larger at other places for less money. They were accompanied by eight pieces of toasted baguette with shredded pecorino cheese atop. This dish was fine but not special.
Another drink was followed by the Whiskey FlambƩed Mushrooms and the Mesquite BBQ flavored Waffle Fries. The mushrooms tasted like escargot; we liked this dish! The fries tasted exactly like BBQ potato chips. I never use ketchup but the Mesquite BBQ powder on the fries made the ketchup taste like BBQ sauce.
We topped off our meal with the Chocolate Stout Bread Pudding. It came with pieces of candied bacon and some kind of clotted cream on top. I donāt like bread pudding but I loved this one.
Final thoughts ā¦ I wish we had a larger table to make it easier to place our food and drinks. The food is interesting in a good way. My least favorite dish was the bone marrow; mainly because there wasnāt enough marrow in the petite bones. (I only needed one piece of toast.) And, I wish there were a greater selection of wines. Yes, the name should have told me what kind of drinks they offer.
I had a cocktail called Catch Her In the Rye, which was a great, refreshing drink. I don't know what was in it exactly, but the server compared the flavor to a pink lemonade, which I would agree to, but less sweet and balanced flavor.
We had the fried pickles and mushroom toast. The snacks were excellent, executed well, and tasty!
I stayed in the hotel attached on a business trip. I showed up on a busy weeknight and almost couldn't get a spot, even for one, at the bar. Fortunately I snuck into a corner. The bourbon and burger were both incredible. Beautiful location too!
Great place to have a drink and food. We got there right when they opened because the reservations were all booked up when we were trying to book a same-day table. They were able to seat us right away. They have a great selection of cocktails and whiskey. My wife had a spicy margarita with fresh jalapeƱos that was delicious. We had their waffle fries with spicy Sriracha sauce and those were perfect to munch on while eating. 10/10 will come again.
Starving from a long day of traveling. The fish and chips hit the mark. Max, has an amazing drink he is yet to name, the smokey, tobacco with the perfect amount of sweetness we a great end to my travels.
A spendy beer on a surprise stopover after missing a flight connection. Busy place, but hey that's tourism for you. Great selection of beers and cocktails.
P&J has relocated to the Ala Moana Hotel on the same floor and location as their Starbucks. Park at the mall for free parking as they donāt validate and arenāt part of the hotel.
All our favorites have returned. I love the fried pickles but i think the winner is their seasoned fries. There is an extensive drink menu with Dave still there. The fish was crispy and flaky. Shrimp bruschetta tasty, crispy and delish. Their speakeasy Harryās opens next month and unbeknownst to them shhhhhā¦i saw it behind one of their beautiful displays of whisky.
They only have 2 bathrm stalls and they are unisex with the sink being outside. That would probably be the only downfall as I had to wait a bit before some exited and a line formed behind me.
