Been here multiple times and each time the garlic chicken is very tasty :) large portions at a reasonable price. Beef curry is good too but definitely recommend the garlic chix instead

Introduced by my best friend who lives locally. Ordered pretty much almost everything I saw, didn't quite finish everything but I was able to pack it in one container flew it back home and ate it and it was still delicious. Ever since then, everytime I visit, it's always a must to stop by and grab food in this hole in the wall joint. Great service and friendly staff. It's a small spot but the food always hits the spots, it never disappoint. 🤙🏾😋👍🏾

Yummy garlic chicken! Has been around for years, but changed owners in past. You can call ahead, so that'll help with the wait. There is only one line to stand in (whether you are picking up or ordering), so just be patient. Staff is very nice there. You'll get a small discount if you pay cash versus using credit card.

Everytime I'm back on the aina this is a must stop. This would be my first stop if only the hours of operation were a bit longer. Regardless I will always make it a point to stop in. Mitsu-Ken bento is my go to and garlic chicken musubi. With that said, there is only take out no seating (what your car is for). If you are walking there is a nice little wall by Bank of Hawaii you can sit and watch the cars go by. Lol

Always loved bentos from Mitsu Ken. Been a really long time since I grabbed a breakfast combo. Like anything prices have gone up. Garlic chicken still good and one of the only places I like their recipe flavor

Garlic chix, Garlic Chix, Garlic Chix!!!! The food here is good, especially the garlic chicken. It’s cash only so be cognizant of that and there’s a bank next door too in case you don’t have cash. but definitely get the garlic chicken Update 2/2022 they take cards now

Great place to pickup a bento for a trip to the beach. If you’re in the mood for an okazuya, then you’ve found this gem in Kalihi. However, you need to go early or risk having items sold out. They were out of shrimp and vegetable tempura and chow fun when we visited around 11:30 a.m. I would’ve given 5 stars if they still had tempura and chow fun. The Mitsu-Ken and fried saimin bentos were reasonably priced ($8.50). The service was fast. Bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards. I visited again and got a mini bento for $7.00 the price of a larger bento is now $9.00.

Love that Garlic Chicken! I order Bento's and the Breakfast as long as I get some Garlic Chicken then it's all good.

Ordered a delicious lunch bento consisting of rice, karaage chicken and hot dog. This location can be crowded with limited seating but provided good customer service.
