A local favorite and the food is so Ono! DINNER PLATE. My Go to favorite. Parking is a little rough as the curbside and metered share with other businesses. Parking across the street by koa pancake has tow signs but if you call an order to pick up and are quick shouldnt have any worries. $15min for Credit/Debit card transactions or just bring cash.

Great deal at this popular Chinese restaurant in Kaimuki: lunch plate includes rice, Crispy Gau Gee, Pot Roast Pork, Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs, and Broccoli Beef - all for $7.25. Two people could easily share this dish but you could round it out with another like say, Honey Walnut Shrimp, like we did. The food was great - as the crowd in the dining room indicates. There is a paid parking lot behind the restaurant - the cheaper, metered lot is across the street behind the post office fronting Koko Head Avenue. I’ve never had luck finding street parking - on Sunday’s I’ll use the Bank of Hawaii parking lot on Center Street.

Best e-mein I’ve ever had! I’ve had it everywhere in the world under different names, but these are the best! Also great cold ginger chicken and chicken with mushrooms. Love this restaurant. Many hidden gems on the menu, like the tofu shrimp dumplings. Think tofu and shrimp minced and wok fried. Yum! Also the best air conditioning around. Nice and cold.

Duk Kee is a small corner restaurant in Kaimuki. The food is good and portions reasonable for the price. The also have half or whole roast duck with buns (not always an option at other places). The orange chicken is also very good. The parking lot next to it has a 20-minute grace period if you’re just picking up an order and can’t find a space on the street.

The duck is amazing - exquisite flavor and very tender. Large portion sizes, very cheap.

You definitely don't come here for the atmosphere, but chinese food is as authentic as it gets. My go to favorite is the stuffed eggplant.

Cheap eats - rare that is in these post-pandemic days. Solid Local Cantonese-style Chinese... food (i hesitated to type "cuisine" lol), enough said. Diner atmosphere but, has anyone ever go to a Chinese restaurant for the atmosphere(?) Come here for the best BANG for your bucks, on all your favorite Chinese dishes.

Good place to stop for some old fashioned Chinese food. Ordered Peking duck, beef chow fun, orange chicken, wonton soup, salted fish/chicken fried rice, and fried meat wontons. Orange chicken tasted more like sweet and sour chicken, but it has a nice, thin, crispy shell, and the meat was tender. Beef chow fun had good wok hei.

Dukkee Chinese Restaurant is my GoTo place when I want some thing nutritious, when I don't feel like cooking, and when I want something fast. I always order the House Noodles, with Cake Noodles! It's a complete meal! Try it, you'll like it!
