Diner style restaurant. Excellent food and service. Basic interior. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
Hidden gem near Waikiki in my opinion. Came here with a group of 7 an hour before they close and we had the best service and really good food. Their menu is huge and filled with goodies that are super affordable compared to other places. On this night, we tried their wonton noodle soup (6.50$), and their Golden Eagle Special (39.99$) that comes with 4 entries and rice. The food was excellent and the Golden Eagle Special is a hit and highly recommended if you come with a large group. The portion size is spot on and flavor of each dish is just quality. I can't stop commenting on how great their service was. Our waitress or shall I say multiple waitresses were attentive and hands down provided the best service I've had in Hawaii. People needs to come here and try their food. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
We order the same thing everywhere to compare! Orange chicken and sesame chicken. They were both excellent. The sesame had almost a honey glaze flavor. The meat was good(not majorly filled with grissle like the cheap places), but mainly dark meat. Both rices were wonderful! We love our Chinese food! It looked like a typical hole in the wall joint with cardboard boxes stacked up in the dining area. So it wasn’t cosmetically perfect, but in our experiences, that’s where the best food is waiting to be found. ;)
A very typical Chinese restaurant. Not too big but comfortable size.
Their cake noodle is my favorite. All the food is tasty and flavorful. From the soups to the steamed fish to the seafood vegetables. And the prices are reasonable.
We order food from here religiously every month. We love the food, sometimes it has great flavor but there are times when it's not as flavorful but still really good. Super convenient location and has a lot of parking but there's so many other businesses around that you kind of have to get lucky.
One of the best place on the island to have authentic Chinese and Malaysian food at nominal price. The quantity and quality of food is good. You will have a lot of options. They have bulk options for group of people. The group of 4 or 10. The people are so courteous.
This place is a jewel in the little outside of downtown. Awsome chinese food, as always great price and best quantity. Photos are of partial quantity as i forgot to take pictures. You need to ask to make food spicy.
The food was perfect. The portions were huge. The people were quick and very observant. It's a tiny, casual restaurant and not fine dining so perhaps, relatively speaking, I should have rated the atmosphere as five stars,...but I just could not. These accolades alone, however, are more than most can expect from the typical Chinese restaurant where the workers are rude and your water cup has been dry for the entire meal and even when you ask and ask and ask for anything, they could give a rip. So for service I'd rate Golden Eagle as six stars, if I could. The table is clean too! This is one of those places where you return time and time again because it just makes sense.
Never needed a reservation when we arrive and if there's no tables available it's usually no longer the a 15 minute wait. AWESOME lunch and or dinner plate!
Had the Singapore noodles, black bean beef and broccoli, and crispy gau gee (rated one of the best gau gee in Hawaii). Great value and easy to find parking and seats for lunch on a weekday.
Straight up old school good chinese food. Portions were generous and the taste was very good. Service was excellent as well.
Good Chinese food. Some are better than others. Maybe asking for recommendations from staff will produce better results.
This is the best Chinese food I've had in years! Crispy Gau Gee Mein was maybe the best I've ever had. o
Casual, clean ambiance, family friendly prices and great selection of very tasty Cantonese style eats. Recommended!

Food is delicious and in generous portions, prices are better than Golden Duck, menu has a little of everything, and the service is excellent. There is enough parking at night, though I note the shabu shabu place next door is very popular.
From a business perspective, I am not sure who is the owner but he or she changes the employees every 5 years. My family friend was offered the opportunity to sign a 5 year lease but decided against it and someone else got it. The wait staff gets new people (might be the same persons who signed the lease), the menu has a makeover, and the decor also changes.
I've only gotten takeout but by far one of my favorite Chinese places on island. The crispy gau gee is literally amazing, and every other dish I've had from here has been so good.
We eat here regularly and always leave satisfied. The service is fast and pleasant. I get egg flower soup (without pork or green onion) fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. They have also always gotten my order right which I appreciate. One of my favorite places for comfort food :)
Do not be deceived by the modest/threadbare surroundings, this is the best Chinese food I've had in Honolulu, easily surpassing fancy restaurants that cost twice as much. Authentic Cantonese dishes (I'm from Hong Kong) that are tasty and huge portions. And the staff is very nice. A great find! Eat in or take out, can't go wrong either way.
