I was so happy to have found Yokocho, a Japanese food market, right in Waikiki. I decided to try Tsujita based on the glowing reviews of it's LO location. I ordered the ajitama tsukemen (marinated egg, dipping ramen). The broth was flavourful and quite thick (which is good). My only complaints was that my noodles were cold. This is odd as I would have thought it would have been easy to dip my noodles in hot water just prior to serving them with my broth. However, the broth was quite hot so it wasn't a huge issue, but rather something I think they should pay attention to. It's a good thing I had cash on me because Tsujita (and actually many of the food places in Yokocho) do not accept credit cards, which I think is a huge mistake considering this place is located in Waikiki. But overall, I had a good time and will be trying it again.
Really enjoyed the food here. The ramen is thicker has got a really nice bite to it and the soup is delicious.
You are meant to dip the noodles into the soup and you can squeeze some lime into your ramen.
Tsukemen tasted better than Tsujita in LA. Not too crowded, nice and friendly staffs. A bit hard to find the location and hard tm get in with strollers because only stairs at the entrance of this mall.
The tsukemen was good with generous bouncy noodles. The soup had pieces of meat and bamboo and was quite flavorful. After you're done with the noodles, they add some stock to it to thin it out so you can drink the rest of the broth. The ramen was good with rich broth. The food is quite pricey though and it is cash only which is common in Japan but it's Honolulu so they should really work on that. They also do not do to go outside, neither do any of the other ramen shops around.
Great Tsukemen ramen here, the broth is thick and savory, as well as the pork being incredibly tender and delicious! The egg was cooked perfectly as well.
This company is very bad company. but Tsukemen is so good. Cash only. I come here sometimes. I'm allergic to eggs but they don't use eggs in the noodles.
Yum, yum, yum! The Char Siu Tsukemen was spectacular!
