What ??? These stars aren't enough to express how much I love Barnes and Noble ... the best place in this planet ! The crew are very helpful and very respectful!

This is a really nice store. It has a great selection of books. It also has a Starbucks inside the store. Bonus - You can use your B&N frequent buyers card at the Starbucks for a discount. The staff is super nice and I always leave smiling.

I just love this bookstore. I'm not sure if it's because it's probably the very last one on the island that one can stay there all day perusing the books and magazines, or if it's because the ambience of the place just takes you back or into another world that I can be a part of, even if only temporarily. I went there last weekend and was sad that I had only a half hour to venture through the area. It looked like it still held its hustle and bustle so please don't leave! Even though I don't visit often because I live out on the West side or that my wonderful husband has no patience, it's comforting to know that it's there, waiting for my return. I'll be back this month sometime, I promise!!!
Barnes and Noble at the Ala Moana shopping Centre is massive. You could spend all day in here just wandering around looking through the shelves. Stop at the Cafe for a caffeine hit and then keep going. I was looking for Harry Potter things and hit the jackpot. The staff were really friendly especially the guy who helped me out, he went way beyond to get things a little cheaper by signing me up to the membership and getting me the discount. A great B&N
It's a big Barnes and Noble. Staff wasn't particularly helpful but I was able to find one staff person who did go out of her way to find the book I was looking for. It's a typical Barnes and Noble, just a little bigger. It's weird that even though this is in a giant mall, the entrance to store is in the parking garage on the bottom level. Basically, if you don't know where it is, you won't find it on your own.
This bookstore is HUGE! All kids of stuff here. Massive amounts of magazines, books, games, toys, CDs, vinyl records, and DVDs. It’s pretty easy to get your head spinning here with trying to find specific sections of books but thankfully most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Even though one of them nearly knocked my daughter over as she was walking through the store. Guess some of them are motivated to get those shelves stocked.

Very helpful staff. Disappointed that my daughter's book "Emmy Gold is Totally Extraordinary" wasn't yet available in the store. However her other book "The Wanderers" was available. Signed Proud Papa
4/25/2021 Update: My teenagers loves the place; went back to take better look at what they have. There are varieties of books, different categories of course. But...the price...wow! After buying it's like a library to keep at home. There is always Kindle but my youngest likes actual books. I guess it's good to teach them to love a book in their hand huh? Overall, the store is nice, clean, lots of things to look at. Like the STEM section; great for little scientists. Upgrading to 4 stars until we are back for another visit. 😁

Everytime I visit Barnes & Noble I feel like I'm in a library, so many varieties of many different books to read and enjoy! I love visiting this place, but when I go I'm in the market for an interesting new book to check out. They also have quite a selection of magazines as well, if you're in need of some good old fashion pass time drop in sometime.
I'm an avid bookworm- I love the smell of books! Barnes & Nobles bookstore is the best & well stocked and organized! Can't wait for Christmas too! Customer service is wonderful- always helpful if you need something they will order it for you.
Nice little spot to get books, grab a drink, or both. Pretty standard Barnes & Noble store, they have activities their throughout the week like reading time for kids. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable so that's a plus. They keep the place clean and organized.
The staff is fun and I like the sandwiches. Its a little pricey but that's everything now. It relaxing to buy a book or magazine and have a soup and sandwich and just sit for a while.
These used to be everywhere, but this is the last one in Hawaii. Excellent place not just to buy books but all sorts of toys and games. Helpful staff and a great place to take a curious young reader because of the selection
The last of the giant retail bookstores on island. My favorite Starbucks is here. They don't take Starbucks gift cards and don't have all the specialty drinks... but they do have all the best cookies and desserts.
I love talking to their staff. I bought several books based on their recommendations and they are all so great and they were not something I would pick by myself.
Also, great selection / promotion on local authors. I love to support local bookstores but they often close early. This one is open till 9 pm and you can bring your kids after school.
I let my son pick up his own books to read.
PS. Today, on May 13, pretty much everyone was masked in the store. #covidsafe .
This location is MASSIVE with tons of selection! I wouldn't be surprised that even if they don't happen to have what you're looking for they're able to get it in for you. My husband and I spent maybe two hours in here and could've spent way more! The employees were friendly as well.
Great selection of books, friendly atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and just overall a great place to shop and to get lost in a book.
This Barnes and Noble is on the bottom level (car park level) of Ala Moana. It can be hard to locate using Google Maps or the Store Directory, so best to ask for directions if you can find something to help. It is a very large store and there is a Starbucks inside.
The store was clean, had attractive shelves and displays, had a large range of books and genres, and there is a bathroom inside the store. The store was moderately busy when I was there (around 2pm on a Thursday). I would return again if I was ever interested to purchase a book because the atmosphere was enjoyable.
I was unable to make a purchase because they did not have the books I was looking for in stock. Unfortunately, the service desk was always busy and there was a wait until I could get some help. The attendant was kind though, and was able to tell me the out of stock information, and additional information for the books I was after.
Walked out w 5 books. All done 2 weeks later. Must be great!!

Wide selection of books of all genres, it also has lgbtpq+ books and they’re not hidden away either. The staff is very helpful, always happy to go through the trouble of looking for 5-10 minutes for just one book for customers.
