The food was great and the service was excellent. We used to go to the Bob's Big Boy in Mapunapuna and missed it since the fire. Glad that it's been reincarnated to Bob's Big Bear. Looking forward to going back to try more of the menu items.
Always a good seat, love the food and the broad selection. Convenient locations with ample parking. Great staff too!
The staff formerly from Bob's Big Boy are serving the same delicious foods like homemade corned beef hash and eggs, chicken fried steak, their classic cheese and sautéed mushroom burgers, rib eye steak. Beef stew, chili, hot fudge cake, shakes and freezes. Loyal customers are happily returning.
I enjoyed it.Have to go again to try other food.I tried to call the number that is on the receipt but it said disconnected.
Ox tail soup was really delicious!!! The best on island to me
The shakes and malts are excellent – just like at the old Big Boy in Mapunapuna!
Just like how I remember Bob's Big Boy...down to the look of the menu and the taste of the food. Plus, we went on a Tuesday which happens to be chicken enchilada soup day, my favorite of their soups :)
I enjoyed the double-decker cheese burger.
the place was a bit run down but the service was good. The food and its portions was pretty good.
Service was friendly, food was hot, and nicely prepared. Portions were large. I would come back again.
Ran in this place by accident. Walked to entrance and saw a Bob Big Boy! Was an old one I guess and restuarant looks like it's still transitioning into the Big Bear because the decor makes no sense, part of restaurant looks unused right now. That said- its clean, no construction being done, just decor and space changes. Menu is a mix of American and Hawaiian. Great service, excellent Samin noodles, and good burger and fries. Lg tv to watch while eating.
The prices are good and the second sizes leave you full. Chicken fried steak did not disappoint at all. Though it didn't take up the whole plate it made up for it in thickness and balanced seasoning. Once renovations are complete I may rate it 5 star. Overall a great value and quality homestyle food for Hawaii.
Very nice and quiet diner. Feel like zippy but more personal. Food are very good for the price. Don't order steak and expect a steakhouse quality. Chilli was pretty good and they allow add-on like egg on top. Definitely would come back again and again. Parking is also very convenient.
Ford and service are great! The interior could use an update (still looks like sizzler). Had the country fried steak and gravy...yummy! Steak was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Country gravy was pretty good too.
My daughter had the homemade corned beef hash and fried rice and it was delicious. We will make this our go to breakfast joint.
Mother's day and didn't have to wait for a table.
Our waitress Chantel was the absolute best!! She was attentive, I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. They had many good choices from the menu and pancakes were really good. I will most definitely go back again.
It's the perfect stop to eat on the way to or from Costco Iwilei. Actually it's good anytime you're hungry for a solid tasty meal at a reasonable price for a coffee shop or diner.
The food is good and the pancakes great. My wife and are trying to figure out what they add to the batter that makes their pancakes taste unlike others. The food comes to your table quick and hot. It's a good successor for Bob's Big Boy.
Ordered the pancake sandwich with crispy bacon and over easy egg. The best pancakes ever, perfect crispy bacon & over easy egg, not runny, just right. All for a good price, worth every penny and more. Definitely will be back for that & will try the prime rib next.
Dinner food. Excellent service. Basic, local joint. Local take off of Bob's Big Boy.
I am very pleased with this establishment. The food is delicious, and the food choices they offer are so good. I like the mozzarella sticks. Hopefully the college people will find out abut bobs big bear. They have an American all you can eat buffet.
Loved the atmosphere. Walked in and felt like you were at a relative's house. The menu is simple just home style meal. I had the loco moco and it was very tasty. Would definitely recommend others to go.
Very reasonable pricing on the food items! Very friendly staff. VERRY FAST service. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because, I feel like a salad should have more in it than just lettuce. Tomatoes, olives, pickels, onion just to name a few.
First time. Good size portions, food tastes very good (had chicken cutlet, country fried egg steak, and fried noodles). Great service, wonderful server (Lei). We'll be back!
The server was amazing and so was the food & the price was cheap with the amount of food I was given & we never had to ask for a think the sever was on point at all time. GREAT service and great food. Will go back & tell others to eat here.
Awesome dining experience with hanai brother, Paul. Food was delicious and double of what I could eat. But most of all the two waitresses made you feel welcome. And service with smiles. Excellent service.
