A nice clean quiet place to feast on shabu shabu style dining. All you can eat options are available for a reasonable price. Children 10 and under enjoy half off. Open for lunch and dinner.

Okay ironically—I wouldn’t come here for their Shabu Shabu (although it was AYCE all-you-can-eat) because it didn’t wow me with their small selection. BUT THEIR ENTREES all looked delicious and we tried 4 dishes and they all blew me away! We had their slow cooked ribs, szechuan stir fry eggplant with chicken, popcorn chicken, Clams.. and everything were very well seasoned! Definitely would come back when I’m in the area again. PS- you’re gonna have to order side Rice; can’t let a single drop of SAUCE go to waste ;)

Known for all-you-can-eat shabu shabu menu, Cafe Asia offers a variety of items, mostly Japanese. Tonkotsu ramen was tasty and noodles cooked just right. The soup could be served hotter and was a bit thinner in comparison to ramen served in Japan. Garlic tonkatsu was a large, generous serving and slightly salty. Otherwise, food was tasty and served quickly. Staff was pleasant and observed appropriate mask protocols and social distancing.

Amazing flavorful entrees! Obviously a top notch chef. The chicken- eggplant stir fry is delicately seasoned and so flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. We also had the fish and the fried rice - unique and perfectly seasoned. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect, with relaxing music and great ambience. We are so lucky!

A neighbor recommended this place and we weren't disappointed. Food was great. The staff was short handed but still delivered excellent service. Because of the short staff, the menu was limited, which was a bummer since many of the off limit entrées looked delicious. I saw the hostess bussing tables and she even took our order while our server was busy with other customers. A reservation is recommended. We waited about 10 min for a table since we didn't have a reservation. Once this place opens up to full capacity, I really hope they hire more staff and open up the menu. We'll definitely be back then.

Cafe Asia is located in the Niu Valley Shopping Center, next to Gyotaku. Lots of free parking available so not to worry about not finding a stall to park in. The restaurant is large and accommodate large groups. They have a lot of specials on going constantly and Pau Hana Specials till 6pm. We came here for early dinner and decided on the all you can eat and two different broths, Mala and Sukiyaki. The server brings you a list of what can order, you just check off your choices. So simple and the servers checked with our intermittently for reorders and to make sure everything was OK. I definitely ate more than my share of the multiple orders, Oink! There was a mistake they made with our order, but I didn't mind eating extra meat. Also I wish that there was more choices of sauces, if not then items to enhance the the existing dipping sauce choices. There are some good discounts for Seniors (55+) and early peeps who choose to eat before 6pm. Overall a very nice clean restaurant with good friendly service.

My wife is a big hot pot fan, and she says this is the best one she's ever been to. She found the soup bases (butter miso and garlic patin were what we had) to be really good. And I agree. Also, they refill broth with the actual soup, not one generic broth for all refills like many other places we've been to on the Mainland. We actually liked the hot pot here so much, we went two nights in a row. In a way, it's good that we don't live near this place, because my wife would probably want to come eat here every week.

Definitely a new experience for me! You order off a menu on cards where you pick what veggies, meats, sides, and pupus (appetizers) you want brought to you for each "round" or you can tell the server to bring what you would like each round. They have small heated stovetop like cookers that you share with the person across from you, and pick your broth that you will cook/boil your food in - definitely a different style of food for me/us, I suggest getting sauces and some condiments from the station up front if you like your dishes to have spices or flavors as there's not any pre seasoning before you boil yourself in the pot. I added some onions, garlic and garlic shoyu to the broth to help flavor it up and then because I love super seasoned food dipped everything in the garlic shoyu. We had the all you can eat special too, by the way, with dessert being either mango sorbet or fried ice cream. I actually enjoyed the experience, would try again! Can also order off the menu dishes that are made versus you making yourself. The staff was also super helpful and friendly and our server was such a sweetheart and so helpful!

Fresh food. Good service. Very clean environment. Two of us ordered the All You Can Eat menu item. We each had different broths, each ok, lacking seasoning and very light. Selections of meats, seafood, vegetables was plentiful with a good number of choices in each category. A relaxing experience, enjoyable, and fresh cuts of meats and vegetables. The All You Can Eat option included a good range of appetizers. We had tempura Okinawan sweet potato and cold ginger/ scallion chicken. Both delicious, the ginger chicken being the best I've eaten. Senior discount allows for the AYCE item at $24.95 including appetizers. A great deal. Next time we'll try the extensive shabu shabu menu items. Definitely will return.

My parents were really sore about Lung Fung closing. They took it personally when their favorite Chinese restaurant was getting replaced, but I wanted to give Cafe Asia a chance. I'm glad I did. They fixed up the space. The service was good. The food was great too. Took the nephews who never had a shabu shabu experience before. They want to go again. I guess I'll have to be the dutiful uncle and take them.

Food is excellent and very reasonably priced for shabu shabu! They also have a senior discount for people 55 and over :) I've eaten there several times for lunch and dinner and have been encouraging all my friends to try them! Lots of parking!

Solid new shabu shabu place in Niu Valley. Service was friendly and while there were some mixups on our orders, they were resolved quickly as without hassle. I had the spicy crab soup base with the Australian leg lamb shabu shabu set (set b). My girlfriend got the butter miso broth with the Choice Ribeye. Both broths were delicious, but I preferred the butter miso a bit more. The amount of meat that came with the set B was impressive and left both of us full. The sets come with a sesame sauce and a ponzu sauce.

Food was good especially since I made it lol. Priced right since it was all you can eat. The place was a little warm because you are around a stove. I would go back.

A great place in Niu Valley. It is tucked away near Jack In The Box. The food is delicious. The shabu shabu selections are awesome. They also have an all you can eat option. In summary, be prepared to eat great food with great service.
