Best pastele's on island, don't even play around! I suggest spicy! Get all the sides and of course lumpia! Call in advance to place your order is recommended. Do dinning dine, take away/take out only. So happy we have the pastele shop on island!!!

The best pasteles on Oahu!! Food is always fresh. Large quantity the price. Pastele lumpias...don't forget these!! We got lumpias with rice and salad plate. Salad was so good too. Awesome!! Service...super awesome!! Little far from our Mililani Mauka rez but so worth the trip!! Parking is a little tight but minor when you get the fantastic food!!

I enjoy their spicy pastele. Their menu has good selections - ala carte, regular plate, combo plates, etc. The shop is very small, simple, considered outdated. The employees need to dress a little better as it reflects the food establishment. But if their employer is okay with their work attire - then not much can be done.

Quick service, they give a lot! And taste really yummy! Normally lots of parking in the front, but this is a very busy street.

A very cool little restaurant away from Waikiki. The place has been making great pasteles for 30 years. Parking is limited as well as seating inside. It's a short drive from Waikiki and is very much worth it. Super friendly service. Bite squad friendly. Roamingsmith.blog

Growing up pasteles became my favorite food & as I aged my favorite comfort food. I have so many memories connected to holidays & my grandfather bringing us home pasteles, gandule rice, & bacalao salad. I have never eaten a pastele quite a delicious as the ones made right here at The Pastele Shop.

I have been going to this restaurant since the late 90's, as far as I know nobody's pasteles taste better. I have tried. I don't know if the ones running it now are related to the original owners but the do have the same recipes, that's why I'll never go anywhere else. The food is made with love and gives happiness to eat there.

Friendly and fun service. Authentic Puerto Rican foods — pastele, pastelle stew, bacalao salad, gandule rice. Some new twists such as the tasty pastele lumpia and an incredible pastele loco moco.

We flew in from Tucson Az to come see our new born grandson and we where having our traditional Puerto Rican diner and need pastels.. after reading all the reviews we had to stop in and grab some.. WOW WOW WOW is all I can say. These are some of the most flavorful pastels we have had in a long time.. we are definitely going to be stopping back in before we leave to grab up a few to take home…. I also grabbed a small rice and beans with meat to come back in the car with before we got home. It was all Gone..amazing food staff is awesome .. keep up the amazing work. See you soon.

Since moving to Oahu from Chicago my wife and I were missing her families home cooking. The pasteles were so delicious and gandule rice was also great. We will be returning customers.

I know I don't speak for everybody, but if this is what good Puerto Rican food taste like, I AM IN LOVE. I have been coming to The Pastele Shop for several yrs now and this little hole in the wall (no disrespect meant) is by far the best hole in the wall on Oahu. The food is outstanding and the service is really fast. There is always at least a couple customers inside whenever I go, but again, the wait is minimal. Not a lot of parking, so just be patient, it's worth it. I always get the mild and spicy (not to spicy) pasteles, gandule rice and stew and bacalao salad (not sure if my spelling is correct, but who cares, the food is AWESOME). And now they open earlier like 9:30 Tues-Sunday till 5pm. YOU GOTTA TRY THE FOOD *****

Aloha my people, so I am unsure if you are aware of hawaiis diverse food culture but this place will bring it all together with the flavors of old school and also a traditional dish. One of the hardest things to make is Pastele in my opinion and when I find a great one I me sure to make it a regular place to visit. So please stop by and get a few and let me know what you think.. aunty at the front will be so happy to see you...
