Located on Fort Street Mall, this place is one of the most yummy eats I’ve ever had. For the last 20-ish years I’ve gone here to treat myself to comfort food like their curry and garlic chicken combo, or a light lunch. I like the outdoor seating option and wish they had more. Inside is like cafeteria benches. While there is a dine-in option, I usually just get take away.

This place has been a favorite of mine for years. I'm amazed at how Alison can remember all her customers and keep all the orders straight. Food comes out fast and is never had anything I didn't like. I especially like the vegetable curry, won ton min and pad Thai with garlic chicken.

In heart of downtown Honolulu on Fort Street Mall. Been going here for about 7 years and can't believe I haven't given a review yet. Food is really good. Pad Thai, Garlic Chicken, Green Curry with Chicken (Thursday and Friday Only) are my staples every time I go. Red curry is also the special but the green is better in my opinion.Just tried the Thai iced coffee and it was light in flavor and tasty. If you want a strong coffee flavor this is probably not your speed. They now offer Bahn Mi sandwiches so I will have to try that next. Pho is good but not like LA or Bay Area which is legit. BTW garlic chicken does not taste the same the next day but it still good. Noodles and fried rice are still good the next day. skip the fried rolls as they are good but not very meaty. Owners are friendly and they man the cash register and take you orders. If you are in downtown, you should stop by.

Nice service but the food was just OK. The pho didn't have the depth of flavor you find in other Pho restaurants. The spring and fried rolls were delicious! Tapioca was yummy.

Fort Street Café is a classic Honolulu institution that has been serving delicious Asian food for over 50 years. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Honolulu, on Fort Street Mall. The menu at Fort Street Café features a wide variety of Asian dishes, including Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisine. Some of the most popular dishes include the pho, the pad thai, and the stir-fry. The restaurant also has a full bar and a selection of desserts. The food at Fort Street Café is consistently good. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The service is also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive and always willing to make recommendations. Overall, Fort Street Café is a great place to go for a delicious and affordable Asian meal in Honolulu. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Here are some of the pros and cons of Fort Street Café: Pros: Delicious food Generous portions Friendly and attentive service Casual and relaxed atmosphere Affordable prices Cons: Can be a bit crowded at peak times Parking can be a bit limited Overall, I would give Fort Street Café a 4-star rating. It's a great place to go for a casual meal with friends or family. Here are some additional details that I would mention in my review: The restaurant is family-owned and operated. They have a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options. They also have a catering service. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. They offer take-out and delivery.

This place has the best garlic chicken. It is sooooo ono. Not the best place for Thai food, but the Vietnamese food is very good. Definitely go for the garlic chicken though.

We walked in and their 2 out of 4 seating areas had stuff on it, which they immediately cleared as we walked in. I ordered the Thai noodles with garlic chicken, which is one of their best sellers. Didn't satisfy my cravings however and food was dry. The portio. Was a little on the small side as well. We were however served iced water, and I was served my Thai coffee. Their was a lady sitting at one of these preparing what looked like lumpias. They're many take out orders so I'm guessing their food is really good or prices or portions because what we were served did not live up to it. Wouldn't go there again or if I do, perhaps a Thai sandwich. Spring rolls were pretty good though.

I used to eat here 3 times a week when I attended classes at HPU. Even now living off island I still recall the wonderful experiences here. When I do make it back to the island I am always sure to stop by and grab a bit. Breakfast by far was my favorite as it is both simple and cheap. I even make it at home because I miss it so much. Lunch also is really good. One of my favorites was garlic or lemon grass chicken. Can't wait to get back again.

This place is a favorite and a must visit when in Chinatown. The Thai restaurant I know that serves their food plate lunch style instead of family style and so affordable. First timers should try the chicken curry and garlic chicken plate with brown rice. The curry is not too spicy, the garlic chicken is fragrant and crispy, the brown is not your usual brown rice but a special blend. Then try the pad thai with garlic chicken. Don't forget to also get their own version is summer rolls made with tuna. The couple who runs the restaurant are friendly and hard working.

This restaurant is a absolute treasure and a delicious treat to experience. I absolutely love every single serving meal they have on the menu ; Believe me I have tried them all, since I used to be employed just outside the restaurant. It was all amazingly well prepared and the family that runs it was alway friendly and very Aloha oriented. Great serving portions for the very underpriced menu . Hope you enjoy it too.
