Sad to see Royal close, but taking its place is the shockingly good Blue Square Pizza where you can savor the most delicious local example of Grandma's Long Island style pies along with Blue Steel Pan Detroit style pizzas baked to perfection. As the proud chef/owner of Dino's Pizzeria from 1994-2016 along with the sensational 80's themed Pizza 85 and the now legendary Marathon Pizza, I've baked thousands of pizza pies in my time. But I have to say, Blue Square hits all the right taste notes: a sauce with maximum flavor penetration and the perfect chewy crispy crust to hold onto all the mouth watering toppings . The Hopkinton Royal Pizza Crown has now passed on to the chef of Blue Square Pizza who is creating some of the most scrumptiously delightful hand crafted pies to hit Hopkinton in decades. Take it from me, there will be lines out the door when the kitchen opens in a couple of weeks so drop everything and head on over to 30 Main Street in beautiful downtown and grab yourself the best pizza, in like, forever!
This is my new favorite place in Hopkinton, especially for pizza!
The pasta so far has been delicious.
Falafel salad could use more tomatoes/ olives.

I am very picky about pizza (especially the crust), but theirs is reliably excellent. Other menu items we've tried are very good, too. The owner and staff are wonderful. Highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I love this place. The pizza is fantastic and the staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. We’ve had issues with a certain credit card and it wasn’t clearing for the correct amount we owed but they gave us the food without hesitation. The same thing happened with that card at bills pizzeria nextdoor on a different night. we were short just 20 cents and they awkwardly said sorry there was nothing they could do and practically took the pizza out of our hands. Royal provides the kind of customer service that people respect and remember, not to mention affordable and amazing food! I’d rather spend my money here any day.
Great pizza with great customer service. After discovering it, this is the only place we order pizzas from. The vegetarians one are unique.
I've tried quite a lot of pizza and Royal has a unique twist on the thin crust -not soggy, great texture with just the right amount of melted cheese and nicely seasoned red sauce. My friend ordered a mixed green salad with grilled chicken, loved it, fresh and excellent with the house dressing. I will certainly return. Very satisfied.

Another pizza shop in a location that’s housed at least two previous. Out of sheer desperation thought we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised! Our only constructive critique would be a suggestion to change the pizza dough as it had the consistency, texture and taste very similar to frozen pizza dough. That’s our only critique otherwise as mentioned pleasantly, pleasantly surprised. Nice to have another option for pizza in town. Wishing the new owner all the best!
My new fave. We had a 'meat lovers' and a 'bacon chicken ranch'. Both were very tasty. I'm from metro New York area, so we like thinner crust, which this is. Nice and foldable :) .
The bacon chicken ranch was a big hit. Meat lovers was also excellent. Nice job on the toppings - they didn't skimp. Delivery was right on time, even though it was a Friday night.
