I'm from Rochester but I visit Hornell several times a year because my best friend lives there. This brewery is our go to when I come visit. It's our favorite place in all of Hornell. I was just there last night and we both ordered flights and pizza. Flights are only $5... really can't beat that! Oatmeal Stout is probably my favorite beer they have on tap. Sometimes I take a growler of it back to ROC with me. Also the service was awesome, as always. The bartender and the owner are both very friendly and love to chat with everyone. Really just a great atmosphere over all there! 5/5 every time a go there. Highly recommend stopping in if you never have!

I am only giving this a 4 star review because they are not open on Sundays. It was definitely worth the over hour drive for the food and the beer and if I was in Hornell and they were open I would stop in again. I changed my mind, I still wish you were open on Sundays, but you make a great altbier and that makes it worth it to drive an hour on a Saturday evening.

I consider myself a regular. I am a regular because the beer is fantastic, the pizza never disappoints, and the staff is extremely friendly and upbeat! I love Saturday afternoons when it is more relaxed, but Railhead rocks when great live music is in the house. Do yourself a favor, stop in! You just may become a regular, too!

My favorite place to go for delicious pizza and beer!! The employees are so welcoming and the atmosphere feels like home (if my home had a bar and made really good pizza)!!

Went here for lunch while visiting friends. It was busy cause of St. Patty's day celebrating and service was still great. We ordered pizzas and tbey came out fast. I had the Matt's MVP (meat lovers) the sauce and ham on it was really good. We also enjoyed a few beers and the blackbird cider which I also recommend. They had live music that was nice, not too loud. Everything was clean and I'd like to come back when the patio is open cause it looked fun. Hopefully be back in the summer!

The atmosphere at Railhead is superb! I enjoy the thin-crust pizza with fresh ingredients and all the brews that are unique to this area of Western New York. In addition to the fine food and drink, Railhead is a staple in the local music scene.

The service was great, the pizzas were absolutely delicious, and they have lots of great choices of both beer and cider. Both the truffle shuffle and the oatmeal stout have easily become favorites!

The place was very nice and had a great atmosphere. Service was excellent and they had some very good beers. We even had several types we wouldn't normally drink but ended up loving them all.

Nice, small place. Beer menu is diverse, it's clean, service was really good and prompt. You can order a 10" pizza from a lot of choices and it came hot and yummy. Recommend if you are in Hornell and need a beer and pizza. Brews to go too... good quality true to style.

Excellent, authentic wood fire pizza. limited, but fresh delicious toppings. great selection of house brewed beers on tap. Friendly down to earth staff. Not a ton of seating in the evenings/weekends when it gets busy. Looks like there is a great patio and lots of seating in the summer. lots of parking, good location, close to town.

To DW Brewmaster extraordinaire, Got into your IPA on Saturday. Maybe the best IPA in this part of the country. Got to find a swanky name for that delicious amber nectar….. Awesome job. Chris & Nora

Nice place. Small but clean and comfortable atmosphere. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the beers very much. The food is great if you like pizza but the menu did not have a lot of selections aside from the various pizzas. I will visit again.

We got a couple of pizzas for takeout on a chilly autumn day. They were what I expected, maybe a little better. I encourage you to be curious here: Railhead's best recipes are the adventurous ones. Full disclosure: I'm still not sure about the whole "wood fired" pizza style. The whole category kind of feels like an excuse, rather than actually making Neapolitan or New Haven style. Regardless of my personal opinion, the pizzas we got from Railhead were fairly consistent with other examples of this style that I've had. I preferred a little more char on top and a hotter hearth, but the pale-tan, inoffensive pies we were served are probably the safest decision for a somewhat new establishment in a small market. The margarita pizza was passable. The mozzarella was fine, the sauce was fine, but it really highlighted my disappointment with the crust. However, the seasonal special with squash, onion, and goat cheese was FANTASTIC! The crust is sufficient as a vehicle with nice chew, if maybe a little heavy. The more flavor in your toppings, the happier you'll be. I've gotta give them major props for embracing the autumn season and putting nontraditional toppings on a pizza with great attention to how the flavors would blend. The seasonal Pizza alone was enough to encourage me to stop by to try their brews when this darn pandemic is over.

Pizzas are excellent, all of their own brews are also excellent. Great atmosphere to hang out with friends and family. Just keep in mind that they have beer in smaller batches, so some times they run out, and you are forced to drink another delicious beer you were not prepared to, so what? If it gets busy though, the dining room may not offer adequate seating, but the food and the beverages make it worth a visit!
