Authentic and absolutely delicious French food with the absolute best service. Each of us had the $65 featured four course meal, and coupled it with fantastic wine. Just amazing.
Went here for Houston Restaurant week. Incredible food, great wines, and first class staff. Will definitely return. If you like French food you must try this place.
The staff , The owner his wife , The food , all a 10 without the pretension ... They treat you like Better than Family ... Happy place
I can definitely say this was the nicest meal I've ever had. Everything had so much flavor. My favorite was the escargot and duck leg. Definitely will be coming again!
Great french restaurant, never fails to amaze me!
Great food and excellent service. Plenty of parking around the area.
One of the best happy hours in the area! Food is great, and there is a 10 oz angus ribeye for only $19 on the HH menu!
The bar tender is superb at her job as well, and seems to enjoy it too.
I enjoyed this place so much! For the longest I had been wanting to try French food, especially the escargot, and it did not disappoint!! Everyrhing was so delicious and my waiter was very friendly! The dessert did take a little longer to come out but I patiently waiting and it was worth it! Definitely recommend!
My boyfriend and I had dinner here for one of our date nights and we had a great time. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. He recommended a fantastic bottle of white wine and dessert wine. All of the dishes that I ordered were amazing. My boyfriend and I cannot wait to come back next time we are in Houston.
Foie gras was not bad, I'm not a big fan of it.
Pan seared sea catch of the day was great, I enjoyed the crispiness of the skin and the tender veggies. The bottom of the dish was a little oily though.
The duck breast was great, tasted kind of Asian with the sweet and soy elements.
Dessert was great, loved the lemon tart.
This restaurant has an excellent salmon fillet. The ambience is very enjoyable as well. I was surprised that they use paper menus that look like they’ve been used before; I would’ve expected laminated menus at a restaurant this nice. It speaks volumes about this place that the only complaint is the menu paper, however. Great place!
Absolutely divine.
Reasonably priced drinks.
Our faves—
appetizer - foie gras au torchon was a smoothie and perfect texture.
Fries were really good.
Escargot was small and forgettable.
Main course- Coq a vin was flavored and seasoned well.
My sole was fabulous.
Dessert was lackluster.
Only complaints—they seemed short staffed, it was a little stuffy inside and they put four of us at the smallest table.
Best French food to date in Houston.
This place is quite good! It's a small quiet little spot with a nice ambiance. My mother and I went during restaurant week and were able to enjoy a few things from the menu. Pictured is the delicious lobster bisque and dessert. Our main dish was risotto (not pictured) it was so delicious we forgot to take a picture of it! Lol. Everything was delicious down to the rolls and butter! The service was great and friendly. I will definitely bcome to Etoile again!
My sister and I decided to try out a different cuisine on the occasion of my birthday and so we chose this restaurant. We called for the ravioli(sounds Italian right) as an appetizer and it was the best we’ve ever had. For the Entree we’ve called for the salmon and the other was the risotto. Both tasted fantastic. Summed it up with dessert.
Went here for restaurant week. Lobster bisque was delicious! Escargot wasn’t for me. The sauce was good but snails themselves don’t do it for me. Filet sole was very buttery flavored. Also not a fan here but the texture was great. The duck was very good with a thin crispy layer on the outside. The desserts are what won me over entirely. The pistacho creme was so refreshing and satisfying with fresh berries. The almond cake with caramel bourbon ice cream was also sweet and delicious.
