The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the selection of beers was impressive. We found it on Yelp after driving all day from Florida. Our server was incredibly helpful in making recommendations from the menu, brought iced water out for my dog, and was very attentive despite being an hour from closing. We were never made to feel rushed or hurried. The best part in my opinion was the massive vegetarian menu options. Stop reading this and go to Hughie's!!

The food, beer, wine and atmosphere of Hughies is unbeatable. The best answer to Pho, on Saturday's, is extrondary. A must experience to all in the Houston area.

One of my favorite places to eat! I don't need a menu either. Spring rolls with pork and shrimp (extra peanut sauce) and Shaking Beef please. Always a great craft beer selection too!

The Vietnamese fried egg rolls are a great appetizer. The shrimp spicy fried rice & spicy shaking beef are awesome choices. You will not be disappointed. Pretty good beer selection but it's changes. Service is also good.

Very good food. Every time we go I always try something new and they don't ever fail! We really like the sweet and spicy wings, dumplings, Bah Mi sandwich, Kale salad and the chicken fried steak!

Misters, outdoor fans and shade - they understand the necessities for outdoor dining in Houston! Nice neighborhood restaurant with a mix of Vietnamese dishes and American bar food. Only disappointment was they didn’t have Pho. Apparently it’s served in the mornings and they sell out by afternoon according to the waitress. Also, not a lot of noodles in the vermicelli bowl. Tasty food and worth the visit.

I was not sure what to expect at Hughie's. The inside seemed a bit outdated, but damn, the food here was outstanding. They also had a great craft beer selection. This is a great example of not judging a book by its cover. My waitress was also great and regularly checked on me.

Hughies is known for their shaking beef and it did not disappoint!! My only complaint was I wish there was more of it in the vermicelli bowl... The plates had a lot more beef so I felt like the bowl was kind of lacking. The salad itself was refreshing and crunchy, perfectly dressed. The beer selection was great and the yuzu ginger had a great zing to it. Service is seat yourself and we were served very quickly. The country fried steak was large and absolutely smothered in gravy. They also have heaping portions of salad. It was hard to eat it all which is a good problem.

Happy Lunar New Year! We stopped in this past weekend for a Lunar New Year celebration. Absolutely amazing! The service was spot on. The staff was very attentive. We just grabbed a beer but the food looked and smelled incredible. I highly recommend checking them out.

The Shaking Surf & Turf salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Tremendous flavor in the salad and proteins. Spicy shrimp and crawfish fried rice was also incredible. Not pictured we had the sweet chili sauce wings. Above avg wing but the sauce put it over the top. Crispy dumplings were also pretty good with top notch dipping sauce.

This place has plenty of seating inside and outside. The waitress was super nice and attentive. They have plenty of options for beer and wine, no hard alcohol. They have plenty of options for food, vietnamese and American. The food was absolutely delicious, all of the food had so much flavors and tasted fresh. Definitely will be back !

Easily the best fried rice I've ever had. The waitress was SUPER friendly, and they have a solid selection of beer. Happy hour menu looked very promising too.

Oh wow. Why did I wait so long to eat here? I don't know but now I can't wait to return. We were in the mood for a traditional Banh Mi (we ordered a sauteed chicken and a sauteed beef and shared them) with an appetizer of steamed dumplings (the sandwiches were delish and the dumplings were good but average). I was definitely doing some rubbernecking as we walked past other people's tables while being seated. I know - it's rude to stare at people while they're eating but those fried rice platters looked phenomenal. Most people added a fried egg on top and many added an egg roll. There were several things on the menu I had a hard time passing up - vermicelli bowls, turmeric fish and chips, burgers, grilled salmon, country fried steak, oh my! Plus the desserts and Vietnamese iced coffee. A return trip (or two) is definitely in my future. Sorry, no photos! We were too hungry. Maybe next time.

First time there. The Fish n Chips was the star of the show. I also tried the Bahn MI with fries. Do be adventurous and add some fried eggs and pate. I found myself really enjoying the pate with my fries too. There were great options for beer and cider. The Cali Green went well with the fish n chip plate. The vibe was chill and the service was good. I will return.

First time in, and I went with my Houstonian coworks. The shaking chicken fried rice was excellent. I'm down here from Fort Worth working for about a month, I will definitely be back to sample another food item.

These folks always impress. Their beer selection is exceptional and always has a diverse array of options from light to dark beers. Their food is always great and very taste. The price to amount of food ratio is pretty reasonable.

Good food and service. We got the beef fried rice and chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The pickup was easy since it's curbside. Staff was nice. Restaurant had an outdoor and indoor space. The food is definitely worth trying and looking forward to try their drinks.

My first time here. Decided to start simple. I ordered spring rolls, bbq wings and an iced tea. They were busy but service was quick and friendly. I sat at the bar and was shortly after waited on. The waitress was friendly and even though I had a hard time understanding her through her mask, we got through it. The spring rolls were fresh and wings were very fresh and crispy (not greasy). They had very good sauce and well seasoned. The iced tea was fresh and cold. Overall very good. I will be back.

Pretty good place to eat and the food is always served hot. They have good choices on the menu even though I always get the same thing because it’s just that good! The wait can be a while though especially around lunch time depending on the wait you could come and go in a hours lunch time depending how far the drive is for you. Overall would recommend giving them a try.

Yum! Hughies should definitely be on your list of places to visit. The craft beer menu is amazing and long with a ton of options. The food was tasty and fresh. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate with a side of the lime pepper sauce (get this sauce next time you come in!) and we also ordered the steamed dumplings and a pork banh mi with a fried egg. Everything tasted great! The service was quick and helpful and there was seating indoors and outdoors.

I don't even like fried rice, but theirs is phenomenal. Don't know how they do it. Such great food. Vegetarian options. I had the tofu rice plate, and it was flavorful and fresh. Might be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Houston! And that's saying a lot. The pick-up process is convenient. You just pull up, and they bring it right out. Highly recommend.

I had always gone to the North Main location. This location is as good. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty vegan options. The shaking options seem to be the specialty. Chili lime sauce with a high sweet note.theres a full. bar and large craft beer selection. The set vice was friendly and prompt my Friend enjoyed the shaking chicken. A good first choice in an area chuffed with first choices. Ample parking eclectic building a former fast food place. The patio is dog-friendly. If your not ready for a restaurant yet curbside and take away options
