Had lunch here before the 2 o'clock ballet last Saturday. Had a reservation for 12:30 and was seated when we arrived. The menu was a three course meal (soup/salad, entree, dessert for $29.95). You receive a platter with plantain chips and 3 different sauces/dips. These are really good. I chose the potato leek soup - this was the best potato soup I've had! Very creamy with some kind of tempura fried bacon crouton and little bits of bleu cheese. My entree was the tenderloin and mashed potatoes - steak was flavorful and cooked to order; potatoes were tasty. Dessert was something like a 3 layer chocolate cake. There were two pieces, but I was full after one piece. Not too sweet but good. I had water then ordered a margarita- it was good and strong but not sure if it was $15 good. My friend had the Ceaser salad, striped bass, and tres leches and was happy with her choices. Pros: Convenience, food, nice ambience and view (even though I couldn't see much from where I was seated) Cons: No bathroom (It's downstairs), price

We really enjoy Artista. Part of it is the experiences tied to eating here. We usually go here just before a show at the Hobby Center or other downtown event. The kids love it and have fond memories. The staff are great. Food is excellent. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Give it a try. Build more memories!

Very nice fusion food, loved tge salmon and wide varity of drinks. the menu is very diverse to suit your mood. It is lunch place, but they are open for dinners on Wednesdays. Friendly stuff, generous portion, nice ambiance and great view makes it stand out from other lunch places. Had few working lunch with client and team and loved it. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view of downtown Houston, in the theater district, attached to the Hobby Center, great food. This is white linen dining so $$$, but the waiter was awesome, and food was great. This is a perfect date night...dinner and Theater. We saw Wicked literally next door after dinner and the waiter new exactly how to time the meal with the show start time ... Great experience

I liked this place. The service was fast and attentive, the Location was great, the prices were exactly where they should be for the quality of food provided and the food was very tasty. There was nothing super adventurous on the menu, but it was all well made and well plated. I have nothing bad to say about this place, it is exactly what it purports to be.

This is my favorite place to go for pre-theater dining. The contemporary decor and amazing view is a great way to start your evening. I was attending a show at Jones Hall and had to take advantage of their Houston Restaurant Week menu. I started with a very well made Cosmo and greedily dug into the pile of plantain chips and dips placed on the table. The empanada and tuna taquitos were the perfect size for apps. I wanted to try something else for my entree, but it was hard to pass up the churrasco steak. It was perfectly cooked with chimchurrii sauce for dipping and a yucca cake with pickled onions. Then came the difficult decision of what to order for dessert. The tres leches is always a winner, but I instead opted for the creme brûlée. I was not disappointed.

I had the empanadas served with plantain chips at the bar when the Houstonian Big Band was there Recommend both, but would recommend you try all four types of empanadas depending on your preferences. Music was great as usual. If you dance, you should be aware the dance floor space is small, but it wasn't crowded that night.

Nice service and ambiance, steak was delicious. A bit pricey, but worth the occasional splurge. Convenient if you are going to the Opera or the symphony. The espresso, however, sucks - skip it.

I went to this location on accident about 11 years ago today. To this day I have never stop telling people how delicious fries can actually be, Artists has opened my mind to how simple and ordanary food items can be made so much better and taste worthy of a king.

Ambiance gets me every time here. The salad dressing and plantain chips are to die for. My go to meal selection is the salmon with a side of yucca. Completely delicious every single time.

Wonderful! Some of the best food I've ever eaten, the only downside was we went during a busy time so it was quite loud and crowded.
