This place was amazing just wanted to say my server Zach was very friendly and nice. He was very attentive to everything we needed and was very thoughtful. The food was fantastic, I got the Bubba Gump shrimp with a sub of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is exactly how I love my Mac with amazing and creamy cheese 100% recommended. The club sandwich which my mom got she said the turkey was nice and fresh. The food was quickly brought out. And our drinks were always full. Loved the atmosphere it was nice and clean no dirty tables either and we were sat very quickly, it also wasn't busy so that's a plus, but it was early in the day I bet it'll be more busy as the afternoon rolls around. This place was a great stop on the list.
The hamburger steak was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it, though I didn't like the brown gravy with mushrooms and scraped it off because its taste/texture was like from a pre-packaged mix instead of fresh. My tastebuds have become sensitive to chemicals in packaged products due to good, fresh food home-cooking, especially since covid. Loved the fried okra. The broccoli was good.
Every burger we've tried here has been excellent and their fries are seasoned really well. The beer selection is one of the best we've seen around.
It's a cool atmosphere. The food I ordered was pretty good. There's a good beer list. I thought the service piece of the equation was mediocre, but that's going to vary from server to server.
First time visiting and can see why it’s a local gem. first I love the decor it’s very eclectic, eccentric, and unique if you’re into that type of thing. Ordered nachos as appetizer and they were massive as you can see. Definitely a hearty portion. My entree was the fried catfish with fries. Wasn’t a big fan of either especially the steak cut type fries but it came out hot and fresh. Finally the Margarita flight was a fav and they were only $3 each with plenty of flavors. The mango and strawberry flavors were my favorite. Overall I plan to return for a family friendly lunch and I will just try something different on the menu!
I took my son and grandson. The food was delicious. Gail was our server and was fantastic. Never had to wait for a drink refill. She was on top of removing empty dishes. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great selection of menu items. I had the blackened catfish my wife had the chicken fried steak. We were both happy with what we had. They also have some insane burger selections up to and including "The Beast" with over 4 pounds of beef. Great selection of rotating taps to wash it all down. Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. If I lived in the area, I would likely be a regular.
The snakebite is the best burger in town along M&M’s loaded double burger in the medical center. The bun makes the snakebite burger along with the guac and aoli, and crispness of the jalapeños. It’s not as spicy as it sounds, as the bun has some sweetness and beautiful texture to it. Switch out their fries, which are great, for sweet potato fries and you’ve got the best burger lunch
The food and service great. It was my second time here and enjoyed it more than the last time. Will be coming more often.
The Backyard Grill is such a cool and unique place. There are so many delicious items on the menu to try, you will definitely have to come back! The staff was very friendly and personable, they made it feel like I was eating with a bunch of friends. For 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and an appetizer we spent about $50.
Great food and great service and excellent atmosphere.
Good food great prices. Try the brisket stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeños.

The company I work for had 2 events at this location today using their private party room. Gail and Randy serviced us and they were PHENOMENAL. I ended up asking Gail for a hug at the end because the service was truly outstanding. I highly recommend having events at this site and asking for them
The food here is AMAZING! I usually have the jalapeño honey glazed salmon which is great every time but this time I tried the Buckaroo and wow! It was soo delicious with a side loaded mash and broccoli! Whoever the chef is, GOOD JOB because I am very hard to please lol and I am PLEASED!
This is our regular hangout (where “everyone knows your name”). The staff is very personal and always seems to remember us and our usual orders. Just the right amount of TVs when we went to watch the game and the food is consistently well prepared.
Watch out for Friday nights as the traffic definitely picks up which affects wait times and parking is occasionally a challenge.
We went out for a family dinner tonight, and had a wonderful experience. Our food was tasty (with plenty of options for everyone). And, our server was great - helpful and attentive. We will be back again. 👍
Great food. I had the Smokey the beer chicken and it was some of the best smoked chicken I’ve ever had. My Dad had the Chicken Fried Steak, ate the whole thing. Love the decor, the tree (and it’s story). Had a few drinks too. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family. So glad we found this little gem.
