One of our favorite lunch spots!!! If you’re looking for some healthy, fresh, local options this is your go to place. The atmosphere is bright and refreshing with a fantastic outside dining area (especially in fall). Everyone is nice and welcoming and the food is great. They have the BEST cashew queso. I highly recommend this spot and we will be back

Nice crowd, laid back. Kids are very welcome here. So many drinks to choose from and fast service. Plenty of healthy and vegan options for you to choose from. Great place to people watch and hang out.

Good salads here. The Asian chicken is my favorite and the rest was fine but nothing special in my opinion. Great portion sizes

What are the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Lots of great options. All farm to table came around brunch time on a Sunday and got the breakfast plate. Probably one of the biggest bang for the buck values I’ve ever gotten for breakfast at any place. Sausage and potatoes were scrumptious. The jam tasted like it was just made. I can’t think of one bad thing to say. I definitely plan to come back and try everything on the menu. Lots of seating staff is super helpful. This is a finally run establishment.

I’ve had this spot saved as a “want to go” forever! It was even better than the name and reputation prepare you for too. I had the vegan meatball sandwich with chips and kale salad and my daughter had the seafood sandwich. Both were amazing! The vegan meatball was their own creation that was tasty and toothy like a beefy meatball would be. The seafood was fresh tasting, salty and stuffed with seafood. Definitely get their great deals on bottles of wine and sit outside if it’s pleasant at all.

I’ve been coming here for years and I can say with confidence that I will continue to do so. The location is on the exercise trail. The patio is sizable and comfortable for small or larger groups. The food is excellent. That pseudo fried chicken sandwich is amazing as is the avocado toast. For drinkers, the mimosas are exquisite. I’ve never had a bad experience in 5+ years, and the servers, bartenders, cashiers and bussers are all so friendly. Enjoy!

My friend and I thought we'd try this place for lunch Tuesday. So glad we did. Everything was delicious. I had the BLT with avocado and asked for no egg. With two sides it was a big lunch for me but I enjoyed all of it. Easy ordering and quick service. Really good.

I always enjoy eating at Local Foods. Can’t go wrong with the crunchy chicken sandwich, quinoa burger, or the power bowl. Two of us got the beef sandwich and the seasoning used on the beef missed the mark for us. Wish they would have kept it more simple. Also, some of the sides are quite salty. Other than that, the ambiance and staff were great.

What a great experience we had during the 2023 Memorial Day weekend. We stopped by at the Local Foods - Heights location on our way to Freeport. We ordered the Crunch Chicken Sandwich with Kale Salad and House Chips, it was delicious and very fast. The place was busy during the lunch time but our food came in less than 5 minutes. I hope we can have one location in Dallas, thank you guys!

Great location with fantastic food. I am a frequent flyer at the Rice Village location and this location doesn't disappoint either. Beautiful building in the Heights. The Hispanic guy working the cashier was extremely friendly. Food is great and the ambiance is lively. I came today for takeout. Got my usual: crunchy chicken sandwich with chips and the seasonal fruit (watermelon all summer long!). I also picked up the vegan meatball sub with the pozole for my girlfriend. She's currently sick so the cup of green pozole was the perfect antidote on this weekend afternoon. My only complaint is that the watermelon was really skimpy today! Only two small pieces where I've definitely had a bigger portion (twice the size at least) when eating in. Otherwise, a great time. Will definitely be back!

Local foods was pretty good. I got the shrimp and blue crab sandwich. I don't know if i was expecting it to be warm or not but it's a cold sandwich. It totally surprised me, my expectations were low but it blew them out the water. I think this will be my go too for here on out. You have to try it, i got it with a side of potato salad and pickle spears. They were delicious too. For a drink i got the watermelon lemonade. I'll definitely be back. Everything was great!!

I recently tried the chicken sandwich at "Local Foods" in the Heights, and I must say it was absolutely delicious!. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. One of the highlights was their lovely patio, which provided the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine alongside the scrumptious sandwich. Overall, I highly recommend the chicken sandwich at "Local Foods" for a delightful dining experience.

Always delicious. Their crunchy chicken sandwich hits the spot. I didn't take a Star away but, I will say they got rid of their watermelon lemonade (I think this was their summer special drink) and honestly the fall drink is terrible. I am sure some people like it but it was very tart. Not cozy drink for sitting out on the patio at lunch time. Tried to be too fall like. I get it... some people I am sure will love it but would be great to keep the others around longer.

This Local Foods location usually has the best vegan specials, I will gladly tolerate standstill rush-hour traffic to come here after work. The tofu is more plain and unseasoned than I'd like, but everything else is outstanding & well-portioned. If you want to add a protein to a dish, ask for the taco meat (tempeh) instead of the tofu -- it's not listed as an option on the menu, but it's +$4 and very flavorful. Patio overlooking the bike trail is a really nice vibe on a weekend afternoon (on days below 95°f).

Had another great Local Foods meal. This time it was at the Heights location. Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Ambience is airy with large windows and plenty of natural light. As usual we were pleased with our meals. Definitely recommend. Enjoy

Love this location! Crunchy chicken sandwich is the best along with the gulf seafood. Their sides aren't my favorite so I like to get the posole! I've tried the specials from time to time and they are also usually great.

Friday lunchtime. Good-to-great lunch food. My go-to sandwich is the Gulf Seafood sandwich - shrimp and crab meat. I tried the chicken soup today and it was good. Wife had the crispy chicken sandwich which is her regular choice. Teas and Lemonade drinks are refreshing. I would mix all three flavors into 1 drink, tastes okay for me.
