Came by on Monday to watch the Astro’s and had their ‘daily special’ of grilled chicken breast with cilantro rice and snow peas. The chicken was moist a d deliciously seasoned, rice paired perfectly and the snow peas were fresh, not over cooked and seasoned perfectly. All this for $8.00 and the portion was big. Let me repeat, A Gourmet meal for $8.00…and the suggested cider for $4.00! Can’t beat The Ph

This is a hidden gem for all sports fanatics!!! They open early to play international games. I stopped by to watch the Wimbledon final a couple of days ago, but I’ve been here before for the World Cup and happy hour.

We had the chicken quesadilla, chicken pub pie, and fish & chips. Typical pub fare and a fun atmosphere for watching a soccer game.

Great pub! Really nice outdoor area and cozy inside. The menu has something for everyone including vegetarians and fur babies! We had fish and chips which were very good. Extensive beer selection and full bar. Friendly people and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This is my go-to pub for watching sports and eating wings! It’s got a pub feel and a wonderful staff who are always attentive and checking on you. They have plenty of indoor seating, and a large patio for those wishing to dine outdoors. PRO TIP: Tuesday’s are half off wings and they are certainly worth the trip! Order them with either the traditional Buffalo sauce, or the dry Cajun rub. Thank me later!

We went on a early saturday afternoon so I cannot speak on the after hour mood, but the daytime is a laid back type being good for a low key sports bar type atmosphere. Service was prompt and courteous. Food on the other hand was a let down.

One of the best spots in town! I have been there many times! -There are limited parking spots for the bar, but there are plenty of off street parking in the neighborhood. -The place is nice, clean, organized with an excellent British vibe. -The bartenders are nice, friendly and attentive. -They have a big menu for drinks and food. The food is really good with a higher quality than expected. -Items were reasonable priced compared to the quality and quantity. Definitely recommend!

The drinks were great! The conversations at the bar with "The Friends of the Phoenix" were warm and inviting. I will definitely be back soon. The owner was very nice and he asked if I was enjoying myself. It was great to hear that from him. Thank you for being apart of my journey!

Looking for a cozy place for beer, food, and other drinks? In the greater Houston area, the choices are many but if you want a more intimate, comfy place that also happens to brew their own beer on site, then a good place to consider is Phoenix on Westheimer. This establishment is in a busy area loaded with options for food and drink. I find that I often think about going here when I’m in the mood for beer, which is most of the time. They have a substantial selection of local and other beer, both on draft and in bottles/cans. And, of course, they also brew their own, which is great for those of us who like variety when we drink. The menu at Phoenix on Westheimer includes pub grub and the food, as expected, goes well with beer. I got myself a serving of chicken quesadillas on my last visit, which went quite nicely with the house brewed blonde ale. I have usually ordered burgers in the past and found them more than palatable. The atmosphere at Phoenix on Westheimer has a British vibe and I like the comfy seating options. There is a large screen for sports viewing and several smaller screen. They have a single pool table, too, perfect for shooting a few rounds with friends. This adds to the overall comfort and friendly vibe, much like a true home away from home. Phoenix on Westheimer is a good choice for many reasons and it will continue to be an occasional stopping place for me when I’m in the area. I do wish they would expand on the small brew house and have more of their own beers on tap- there are usually just 2 or so- but when I consider the number of beers overall and other factors, Phoenix on Westheimer earns an easy recommendation from me.

Came here for the Penn State watch party and will definitely be back! Great selection of beers and they even have cider! Our server was great and recommend their mimosa pitcher which was delicious. I shared the fish and chips, fish was good but those fries were amazing. I liked that my server made sure I always had water and a drink. Atmosphere is great, will definitely be back!

I visited The Phoenix for an event and it was a nice spot! They had a lot of options for beer on tap and other drinks as well. They even set up beer flights for our event! There is indoor and outdoor seating - the porch looked really nice, would love to sit out there next time. Indoors, it has a pretty typical brewery/bar atmosphere, but wasn't too loud. I didn't try any food myself, but they had a more extensive menu than I expected. Someone sitting next to me ordered a few of their desserts that looked and smelled AMAZING.

Can't say enough good things about the Phoenix! The food is outstanding, my favorite is the jalapeno chicken and Karrage appetizer. Pua and lose to an outstanding job of service and the owner, Vu, is always walking around checking on everything and everyone. It's a good spot to bring your pet as well, and they have dog friendly events on the weekends. Highly recommend!
